This video makes you realise what a thriving economy the UK has - one which has not one, but multiple sectors of growth. For me, it's the technology sector that excites me, as it touches every other industry sector around it - including the creative arts industry. What I love about the London tech-scene in particular is that it is always at least five steps ahead of what the current trends and demands are. 5G testing, mobile apps, VR, software, security... all from the place that gave birth to the founder of the Internet. People often look to Silicon Valley as the International hub for tech innovation. Sure, it has investment, which in turn attracts talent, but having seen some of the technology hubs and incubator programmes that are thriving right here in the UK it makes me proud to be part of something that is organic and yet rooted in decades (centuries) of innovation-led success. The amount of start-ups currently working on cutting-edge tech up and down the country is often overlooked but should be championed, particularly as much of the new thinking is fuelling the wider global economy. The UK's history, heritage, expertise and ongoing ambition that drives its tech industries is fairly unique, as it is based on ideology and not commodification. Investment in future technology through education, R&D and academia is what sets us apart from other tech-focused regions. That said, the best thing about our thriving tech industries is that it attracts talent from across the globe. I rarely leave video comments on RU-vid, but the video really inspired me to write something positive!
