@@AKASH_SKY0it all depends on you. If you want to take higher risk then start investing in small cap funds . But the main goal here is your should have patience ,you should hold it for long term say atleast 10 to 15 years . Otherwise you can always go for index funds which have very low risk and ofcourse low return . Hope this helped .

Confused between Nippon and SBi. But I'm thinking of going for SBI because of 2 things 1. Lower AUM 2. low number of stockers and better downside protection. But nippon is equally good.
@@Guwahati_rocks high AUM means difficulty in selling and rotating capital. If AMC's AUM has become high then obviously it has to take higher allocation in a particular stock and that's why they can't sell that stock if they sell stock price will plummet.
I am young and i am having a-lot of time to remain invested in market so i would choose to go with Quant Small cap MF .. because in young age we can take risk and as a reward i will get Highest returns …

Very ambiguous analysis 😮. Select funds based on 5yrs and 3 yrs rolling return and CAGR. What is the point of considering portfolio turn over ratio, sortino, Sharpe ratio when you are investing in a small cap fund .. as the category itself is more volatile and risky than other category funds. Don't agree that AUM size is not impacting the fund performance.. Nippon and Quant performance started declining because of significant increase in AUM

Do you think Starting small cap mutual fund investment through sip in this time where market is at all time high and there is a constant fear of a bubble in the market or overvaluation of the market is a right choice for someone starting investment in early 20s.?? Also heavily invested in the market through purchase of stocks mainly of psu’s and fundamentally good companies for a long term will generate good returns if the position is held for a long time or should we book profits at this current moment becoz of the fear of Stock Market CRASH?? Sir, mujhe to sabse best mf laga Nippon small cap 2ndly sbi small cap aur thirdly quant small cap laga sir maine to yeh tino fund mein 5k each aur mahendra Manulife small cap mein 5k and sbi pssu fund mein 10k ka sip kar raha hun Sep 23 se. I m invested in quant n nippon In quant no problem best fund. Time period matter if u r going to 5 to 8 year thn no problem. Aur jada dar lagta hai toh midcap index fund le lo high return n less volatility
On my opinion I'll go with nippon India fund because risk category is less as compare to quant and return on risk on investment is more as compare to quant

You just have to invest in any one, buying all 3 means you are repurchasing the same small cap shares with exit load and expense ratio on all 3 mutual funds.
@@HarshKumar-cb5mlAs per my understanding, the portfolio overlap is less than 15 which is ideal. I totally agree with @smart-coder decision for investing in 3 diffrent AMC. SBI for better returns with low risk, Nippon for highest CAGR in last decade and quant for exceptional CAGR over last 5 years. Exit load & expense ratio are based on amount invested which will be the same if we invest in one or split in 3.
@@HarshKumar-cb5mlI wont agree with you. Expense ratio and exit load is based on corpus, not on numbers. According to me @ smart-coder had opted for the best plan in a small cap.

What is the impact of turnover ratio on the performance of a mutual fund ? Increased brokerage charges ? This is captured in expense ratio. Then why is high turnover ratio considered as undesirable?
There are no brokerage charges as MF does buying and selling through a Trust and trusts are exempt from taxes. So if the calls are well researched...turnover should be used for getting highest alpha. However, that "if" is a big one and wrong calls can be detrimental to overall performance. If price movements don't go as predicted...reentry or exit from a stock may not be possible at all. That is the main risk.
