Dr. Ackerman can speak from the science perspective on the clinical issues facing female athletes: vital perspective to bring to this topic given how much we are learning about the ways in which women athletes often differ in how their bodies and minds respond to and adapt to training so they can perform at their top level in competitions - physically and emotionally. I’m confused like who is afraid of the potential of female athletes? no one I’ve ever met? no one that I’ve ever seen. When it comes to professional female sports like say the WNBA the problem isn’t people not wanting to invest. the NBA has been investing in the WNBA at a loss for 26 years. it’s because economically it doesn’t generate the revenue. when it does the sport does just fine. there are tons of for example plenty of male dominated sports that are not popular and therefore you can’t make a huge living playing those sports. No one can ever expect a lot if they’re bringing in very little there are millions of awesome female athletes what you have to do is get people in the more popular sports likes a basketball to start watching and going to those games and generating the revenue generating revenue professional female athletes will be able to make a better than good living
