Lazy prosecutors state that lesser charges are considered accountability because a plea deal is an easy win for them. They get all the statistics of a "win" while the victim doesn't get justice. I hope these victims go after their perpetrators in civil court. Also always keep all evidence physical, virtual, phone. Start recording conversations or video if possible. Most importantly get some form of self defense protection.

That's why it's always better to handle things in civil court rather criminal court if victims want justice. Civil court gives you justice criminal court possibly protects others.
