I love that Mark is Invincible not because of his physical strength, but his indestructible humanity

He never won against Omni-man. But he did won against his dad, and at the end, that's the only victory that mattered.

Mark was truly Invincible. Nolan/Omni-Man literally beat the shit outta Mark brutally, yet didn't break Mark's spirit, and mind. I loved that:)

I saw someone else say this under an Invincible clip: Yes, Mark get's his ass kicked constantly. We see him bloodied, bruised, broken. But never fully beaten. Because his spirit, his will, his heart endures all the pain. His body isn't what's Invincible. It's his spirit.

The theme of humans being insignificant is part of why I love Cecil as a character. He gives the normies a good representative in the hero world.

"Limited Budget". Yeah, they put most of their budget into the gore scenes.

A show where the main character is everything but his name

Mark showing his love to his father even after being beaten until half-dead. This is what it truly means to be invincible.

People say that Omniman is the closest to Superman, but I think Mark/Invincible is the true Superman. Sure Omniman may have the strength and look, but Mark has the humanity and Spirit of him.

The fact Kirkman can manage to mix Spider-Man and Superman together and make it work is truly amazing

I love how every episode when the title card is shown "Invincible" after every episode it gets bloodier and bloodier and it's just so cool how they also put thought into that even though of its amazingly low budget and they could probably make it better, I'm not saying they should make it better because it's already amazing at how it is rn and making it better could possibly make it worse

"Human" was exactly how I described the season finale to my s/o at 2 AM after she'd finally got me to watch it. I've watched and rewatched The Boys a handful of times but it was Invincible that got me to truly feel pain with every innocent life that was lost.

As someone who has read the comics completely, this show is a really amazing adaptation

Invincible did what Zack Snyder couldn’t. They nailed a realistic superhero world. They showed the good and the bad of real life. And every character feel like real people with real strengths and flaws. Also beautiful video man I couldn’t explain it better myself

What I love about the animation adaptation is how they really captured the DC universe vibe for cartoons as well. They took a lot of inspiration in style from Justice League and Young Justice.

This is what I feel Zack Snyder’s vision had the potential to be, a brutally realistic exploration of power in a world of gods among men, had he not bungled so much of BvS.

i’m so excited to see what this show will bring in seasons 2 and 3, they’re definitely getting a bigger budget, so i hope the animation gets even crazier cuz everything else is literally perfect

Invincible has amazing visual storytelling. As someone who's a big anime fan, I can't help but compare Invincible to certain anime such as My Hero Academia. As much as I love My Hero, I hate that My Hero - and anime in general - completely disregards the "show, don't tell" rule in film. Constant long winded explanations of power sets, hidden abilities, plans, and an overall abundance of spoken exposition. It was such a nice breath of fresh air to see an animated show that engaged the super-hero loving little kid inside me, while also maintaining consistent quality in it's storytelling. I love that nobody's power or plan ever got explained verbally, but instead was shown visually. I love the monument aspect, and how it just goes to show that despite the name of the show, none of us are truly invincible. Not even Mark. In the final fight against Omni-Man, when Omni-Man knocks over the apartment building and Mark is trying to save that woman and her daughter, but Omni-Man smashes into the building again, crushing the woman and her daughter, Mark stands up and he literally has their blood on his hands. It's all so well thought out, and well executed.

The baseball scene and the hard cut back to reality. It tore my heart out. That final battle between Nolan and Mark was brutal both emotionally and physically.

The father son bond between mark and Nolan felt so real. I don’t have a real bond with my dad, not really. But seeing the inevitable clash really struck a nerve. Cheers.

As someone who recently finished the comics Kirkmans story is built perfectly around the idea that Mark, not himself, but his spirit is truly invisible. The trials and tribulations he experiences in the first season is onlyt truly the beginning somewhat a prologue, the arcs Kirkman creates to test Marks will to be a hero is amazing to see and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Reading this comic was an adventure I will always enjoy and remember

Call me soft, but that made me tear up a little bit.

Someone made an interesting comparison between this and Homecoming. Mark and Peter both tell Nolan and Tony (respectively) that they want to be like them. Nolan tells marks he'lll eventually get there while Tony says he wants him to be better .

This video essay was absolutely stunning. Your delivery is incredible and theres such a spoken rhythm to it. I dont know if that was intentional or not but it kept my attention and the ending was poignant. Definitely one i will appreciate rewatching over and over. Excellent job

Invincible is refreshing to me for one reason: Sincerity. Image was so eager to get bloody that they forgot to tell sincere and emotionally impactful stories. Invincible doesn't dispense with quality storytelling just to explore mature themes of the genre. As much as I love Watchmen, Deadpool, The Boys etc I've been waiting for a more mindful deconstruction like this to come along.

Mark has become one of my favorite Superhero’s, Spider-Man being number one but surely Invincible reminds me of him a lot. They both have this Invincible drive to keep going despite the odds and do what’s right even if it’s against what they want to do.

'Invincible' subverts the viewer's expectations from the first episode, it takes all the superhero tropes we know and turns it on its head, using this to craft a bold, groundbreaking and beautiful story.

Bro you just reminded me why I love Invincible so much. It's not the shock of how much blood there was or the mystery behind Omni-Man, but because this show shows us how human we all are. Love this show so god damn much

This show was so much better than I expected. Never heard of the comic so I was like "ugh another superhero thing", but it totally blew my mind. I'm tired of watching superheros wail on each other and fly through buildings without taking a scratch. I love the Flaxans too, at first they seem like a total joke but they're actually really threatening.

I absolutely love how they killed heroes in the first episode. It was a message to viewers, that in dc or marvel you don't need to worry about heroes, because nothing bad will happen to them, they will always come out on top, but here everything goes out of the window because from the first episode you know they can (and eventually- will) die, because they are not *invincible*

Invincible is invincible because he will keep getting back up no matter how many times he gets beat down. Thats what makes him invincible.

It’s great to see this character become so big because the story really deserves it. Hopefully this love for the show will not only make studios consider more mature superhero stories, but maybe one day we could see a live action invincible. Then again, animation really is perfect for it.

I swear the comic wasn’t this violent when I used to read it as a child it’s so hard watching this show and that’s what’s so great about, it shows the real destruction, the superhero’s we idolize and look up to as kids, are capable of, the invisible devastation.

After watching the show I've been diving in DEEP into the comics and I am so SO excited for future seasons of this show! Especially if they keep improving off of the source material like they've done for this first season.
