Remember guys this is only disrespectful to batman, not Conroy himself. He signed up for the project and rocksteady didn't know he was going to die. It's sad that his final performance as Arkham batman was wasted on this game but there's nothing we can do now.

Yeah the animation was kinda ass at points, but I thought that added to the aesthetic of a superhero cartoon, and made the parts where the animation is really good (the gorey scenes) hit way harder.

This video was very well done and perfectly articulates the logical reasons for the games failure as well as the more ambiguous emotional reasons why the game failed. And quite honestly the way that you were able to clearly state the significance of the emotional connection to these characters is probably the best I've seen someone explain why we are all so upset. I think season 2 was pretty bad but bad for this series that’s not a huge negative. Season 1 and 3 are so good season 2 just being okay is still not bad.
A cool suicide squad game would be a game where when a character dies it dies. Similiar to obscure 2 on ps2, where you had like 6 character and a death was a death.
Big issue with this game? They didn't justify AT ALL that these members of the suicide squad could do anything other than die in comedic fashion to the Justice league. A Justice league with NO moral boundaries? Flash could and should of killed all of them in mere seconds. The Justice league dying to such poor circumstances is what's insulting to the Justice league... Batman bested by 4 "Chuckle F*cks" with guns? Gotta work hard to justify (SPOILERS, they don't) Flash killed by gun fire... again, not impossible bur Gotta work hard to justify (they dont) Green Lantern, the same (also that's not how green Lantern rings work King Shark), Superman... effing Superman... they go out of their way to point out that kryptonite doesn't work the same way anymore... they do not justify his death at all. There was a way to make this game work. In the previous Arkham games they justify the accomplishments of Batman through tech, skill and creativity all while respecting the lore (not just comic lore but movie, TV, the works) Taking down Arkham Batman should of been a game unto itself. Batman (especially THIS Batman) is a force to be recond with... and he was just a fire illusion you beat with "Pew, Pew"... That's how they disrespected Konroy Batman... not because he died... but because they just went out of thier way to say that this Batman just sucks compared to ... Harley Quinn? Really?

That last monologue at the end was painful. To see something that you loved so much, for so many years, be destroyed, tossed away in the most spiteful, disrespectful and half hearted way, hurt. I recently replayed the Arkham trilogy (I do plan on getting Origins too, as the Rocksteady 3 were in a Steam sale bundle), and it was astounding what each was able be amazing in their own rights: Asylum set the stage and laid the foundation, City brought the gameplay and story to new heights and truly gave Batman wings, and Knight, while it had some stumbles with story and mission design, perfected the combat and ended Batman's journey in an impactful way. To see this once great studio turn into this was so disappointing. Much like how Blizzard Entertainment has fallen and is a shell of its former self, Rocksteady is a husk. I hope whomever it was that decided to kill Batman, the Arkham Batman, the Batman that we all knew and loved, the Batman THAT BUILT THEIR STUDIO, in such a petty, meanspirited, and disrespectful way, along with the rest of the Justice League, that it was worth it for them. Because the truth is they didn't just kill the Justice League: they killed Rocksteady.
I played it, was kind if excited for the joker stuff. Found out the massive grind for joker was there for a game I'd spent $120NZD on I was like y'know what I'm good. A game should not be a grind to play, a game should come with a complete story and complete game. I can live with DLC but the DLC needs to expand the story, not be skins and crap. This game was fun because of the story - it was entertaining, yeah batman gets done a bit dirty, mission variety was non existent. The difference between one mission and the next was literally, its the same mission but do something slightly different. Look at warframe, yes its free to play, yes its been around for a while. But the missions are similar but theres variety in the missions and each mode feels different. Loot meaningless yes the guns feel different but theres like 5 different guns and thats it. Sure you can pick up different different types of the same gun that does higher damage. Give me weapons that feel different. But point is. A story based game should be a complete story. I should not be having to wait months for the next bit to drop, only to then get "pay me for skins, grind through this so you can actually see the story" Sorry but this is not a good game
6:06 The only real knowledge I got from Batman was from watching The Dark Knight and Batman Begins on two flights: Boston to France, and France back to Boston When I got back home in another state, I watched The Dark Knight Rises and looked on Xbox for its Spring sale, and ended up getting the Return To Arkham bundle for $12 Arkham Asylum ALONE has become my #1 game of 2024, and that game was made in 2009!!! HOW DID THEY DO IT SO WELL IN 2009?!!
I think the problem is no one cares about the Suicide Squad. They've had two movies and only one of those was good, the only character people know is Harley Quinn. But everyone does know who the Justice League is, you have to really put in the effort to make me care about some guy named boomerang over actual Batman. They didn't so it failed

I found watching this weirdly hypnotic, just seeing someone talk with such love and passion about something they loved growing up and all the hits and many more misses from something they wished they loved and that could have been great
Imposter Deadshot was not fixed, it was nonsense, it ignores alleles, ignores logic. It also insults Batman’s intelligence and detective capabilities. It also insults the people who read all the logs in the previous games, as we were beyond the fourth wall and couldn’t be tricked or misdirected. Also, the daughter, did the “fake” Deadshot also have a fake daughter, or was Black Deadshot caring for a white daughter? This is having your cake, eating it, then stealing someone else’s cake, and crying foul when they try to take it back.
The piss joke would’ve worked if Boomerang did it to random monsters, then King Shark would’ve made an attempt on Flash, and Boomerang steps in “Not this one, Mate.” I get that they are brainwashed, but Flash’s whole thing is that he doesn’t always have to throw a punch to win a fight. There’s a famous Justice League Unlimited scene where Flash simply talks to Trickster and he agrees to turn himself in. But in this game, it felt like the brainwashed versions simply wiped out all the good the League did beforehand. It’s like watching a dying person in a hospital bed and calling them lazy and ignoring everything they’ve done in life, because only right right now matters.
The fact that wonder woman. A character who was just introduced in this game, gets the heroic death with some emotion. Over Batman (the character who started the whole arkhamverse) who died in one of the most disrespectful way possible. Is just one of the many, many, many reasons this game is bad. You don't even technically kill all the justice league because you don't fight ever fight wonder woman let alone kill her.
If this was made into a show, even just a limited series, I think people that aren't even into superheroes would enjoy this. I know I would definitely watch.
If you would’ve told me there’s gonna be a game where you play as the suicide squad trying to kill evil justice league 10 years ago, I would’ve been so hyped for it. Seeing how uncreative they got with it is so sad man. This game could have been a classic
Try thinking of the Justice League as the awful actors that played them in the past. Flash: you're not killing Barry Allen, but rather Ezra Miller, and then pissing on him too. Green Lantern: I know this is the John Stewart version, but try imagining him as the Ryan Reynolds version. Batman: I know it is hard because Kevin Conroy voices him, but forget about Kevin and try picturing him as the George Clooney Batman or Ben Affleck if you hate him. Superman: speaking of Affleck, if you hate him, you can try Henry Cavill.

I think marvel’s Spider-Man 2 did the audio logs right. The clips of Kraven you get for taking out his bases aren’t necessary to understand the story, but flesh out how evil kraven is.
Makes me madder that Wonder Woman looked so fucking cool in this game and we couldn’t even play her? They just made her a person to bounce comic relief on and constantly undermined her seriousness about her friends turning bad She gets more respect though in comparison to her friends but even then her treatment is pretty shit
