Invincible - Reaction - Atom Eve Special Episode

35:23 In her comics right after this scene here, Atom Eve says with tears in her eyes: "For one moment I had the power. I could have fixed it. ..I could have brought you back. But I used it for revenge instead. ..I'm sorry mom and dad. ..I love you." Maybe the could have kept those lines, for an even greater impact. Also, as her last standing brother dissolves, he says (in her comics) "...They don't care about us now. ..Now they have you. ..Goodbye, Eve." right before he disintegrates. Maybe they could have kept that line as well.

With Omni-Man , had Marks powers never showed he could have waited a bit and lived a normal human life span with Debbie and Mark. For him it would be just like a long weekend. However when Marks powers kicked in he had to up his time table before Mark grew in power and possibly side with the Guardians. He's torn between thinking how stupid Mark and Debbie / humans are but also how much he loves them when he shouldn't. I'm glad that you all understood that phase 2 thru5 were children who had lived their short lives only hearing how perfect Eve was. Ironically "older Sister" had grown up always hearing what a disappointment she was.

@thereactpack You might recall that the green hero's power (the Green Ghost) came from ingesting a green gem or amulet, meaning her superpowers aren't her own but the amulet's and so anyone can be the Green Ghost. Invincible is Kirkman's love letter to superhero comics and so this is a nod to the heroes that have had predecessors/successors (namely, and most obviously, the GREEN Lanterns). The woman Green Ghost that we see at the start of Invincible is the successor of the man Green Ghost we see in this opening scene of the Special, which takes place around 17 years in the past. We don't know how or why the Green Ghost of the past stopped being the Green Ghost and how she came to be his successor, there are aspects of the show and the special that are new, expanded upon or changed from the comics (for instance in the comics the Green Ghost that gets killed with the rest of the Guardians is a man and has only been on the job for a month).

This special was so damn good. Not only did it get me major hyped for the new season of Invincible, but made me love Eve even more. She is such a prime badass. I hope the show does right by her and takes her character into a new better direction than the sorcuce materiel. She is an very epic bosslady.

Invincible Season 2 starts November 3

Eve can't alter (or make) living animals or people (well, she _could,_ but her mental blocks won't let her, except in extremely stressful or emotional circumstances like in this episode), including herself. Plants and food (even animal based, as in the burgers she made) are fine, though.

i don't know why but i did not expect them to emotionally connect this much. "You killed people I didn't even know I loved" goes p hard though

They made this so much better than the comic version. The comic version is like 2ish pages. Oh i also find it interesting that everyone forgets what Sam said. That her family "forgot" her birthday but they were planning a surprise party for her. I feel if they werent so shitty....then MAYBE it wouldve been better

Eve's story seems analogous to someone in the autistic spectrum with the way she was treated as a "freak weirdo" by her dad for being hyper focused on a subject

Wow the emotions in this one episode is a handful! I might be in the minority, but this is my favorite episode from the entire series so far. I absolutely loved this episode, and I can't wait for Season 2 this early November.

I hate to be the guy that talks about "realistic" in a superhero show but it's wild that none of those cars on the freeway stopped. You're telling me every single one of those drivers saw a pink wizard fighting abominations and was like "Yep, full speed straight ahead, no problems here"?

I'm sure you've gotten several comments by now of when season 2 releases this year so I won't bother telling y'all when but man I wish that day would come sooner lol. Loved that we got an origin story episode dedicated to Atom Eve and I hope we get more of these for some of the other main characters in the future as well.

Eve's dad is interesting because in a way he means well he just shows it in all the wrong ways
