Honestly amber just really pissed me off in this episode. Girl you KNOW he's a superhero. They're not supposed to tell people that they are for obvious reasons. You were mad last episode because he 'abandonded you' during the reaniman attack like a coward, but you were fully aware he didn't abandon you but was protecting you, and you're still mad at him. Because he's a superhero and isn't supposed to tell people he's a superhero.
In a world where literal demons come from hell to reveal corruption in humanity's largest power structures that defy all ethics on earth and space ruled by definitive magic and metaphysical beings, this fucking girl does gender studies and gets bitchy with a boy for being 2nd priority non-human mil-intel asset. Get fucking real.
“You didn’t show up to volunteer at the soup kitchen. That was a big deal for me, Mark.” “Amber, I’m sorry. I would have made it on time if... I DIDN’T ALMOST F***IN’ DIE!”
It's not about him being a superhero. It's about him not keeping the promises he's made. He knows his life will be full of unexpected interruptions, so he shouldn't make promises he can't keep.
@@MontgomeryWenis bruh, it’s a fact that he’s a teenager, who has to deal with full ass adult consequences. He knows Jack shit about adult humanlife, let alone the consequences of being a superhero sorta adult.
That explosion button wasn't supposed to hurt nor kill Nolan, it was supposed to quickly kill every employee inside so that their deaths would have been quick instead of anything Nolan could do to them.
@@MrTHEMONEEMAKER because they knew the explosion wouldn't do anything to Nolan because of his strength so yea it was for them to die fast im pretty sure
Best episode you say? Wait til next week! Well at least very crazy, can't wait til you guys get some answers and see next week. I've watched it like 4 or 5 times. I need next season, and a video game so bad lol
Amber knew Mark was Invincible and yet she still was mad at him for being a coward and “running away?” WTF? 🤨 This girl is a straight up sociopath and Mark needs to get out of that toxic relationship ASAP.
@@XiaoyuuuYT I mean, as a comic reader, Mark does this a lot, he galavants off without a thought too the people he leaves behind. The problem in the show (unlike the comic) is Amber *knew* and still screamed at him about being a "coward". Her being hurt would make ten times more sense if she had never known, and wild be perfectly understandable if she didn't want to date a superhero. But having her know he's a superhero and still calling him a "coward" who "abandoned her" is straight up insane.
She lay down so much bait to let him come clean, over and over. He says "hey lets start fresh" and she's bascially like "okay last chance" and he lies again. You may not value trust and communication and honesty in your relationships, but I do, and I'd dump a girl who treated me like mark treated amber.
@@eXponentia but you trust this kind of things to your lifelong closest friends who you know as good as yourself, people that shared countless years, secrets and tragedies together and worthy to die for. Amber is a minute-long school crush who wasn't even ever interested or aware of Mark until certain recent incident. They spend mere months together and don't truly know each other and don't even have any common grounds, emotional expirience and reasons to love and trust each other, it's simple mutual teenage hormonal attraction. So, first of all, she doesn't deserve to know such things yet and couldn't hope to be trusted with them. Second, she uses manipulative heart-breaking guilt tripping on him because of it, not just "lays bait".
Nolan defeated the kaiju (Hail Mary) off screen back in episode... 3, if I'm not mistaken. He got a piece of tentacle stuck on his cape (we saw it after Mark came back from fighting Doc Seismic) and later joked about wanting to eat it (or really wanted to, it's hard to tell with aliens), and towards the end we got a scene with Donald (RIP) picking her up for Cecil, after noticing she was still alive (in hindsight he clearly was already planing to use her against Nolan).
He kills the guardians at that time because mark got his powers but explained longer it’s because he only had like 100 years to conquer earth so if mark never got his powers he would of probably just waited till mark died then conquered the planet but because he got his powers Omni man realised he had to start preparing not only for himself to conquer the planet but for mark to join the viltrium empire
I might get called a racist just because I hated Amber's character, but I don't care. She's a manipulative bastard. She knew Mark was Invincible all along yet she didn't fill in Mark's situation. Amber only cared about their relationship, not the people Mark was busting his ass out saving. Hell, Amber even thinks she's even more important than the whole humanity lol.
Dude, you must have never been in a relationship. He's been making promises for six months that he knows he can't keep. It's not about cutting him slack, it's about respecting her and their relationship. His life as a superhero is going to be full of unexpected interruptions and he knows this. He should know better than to continue making empty promises.
@@MontgomeryWenis I mean sure but for her to know he was invincible during their time at the college and give him shit for it? Like seriously fuck off. "Oh you didn't tell me?" He's known her for 6 months as you said. Man didn't even tell his bestfriend William who he's probably known longer. I was definitely like man sucks he keeps doing these empty promises but then after she knew and still gave him shit? Yeah fuck Amber all my homies hate Amber
@@MontgomeryWenis & you’ve never been a superhero. He definitely wasn’t a good bf with the empty promises but what exactly is he supposed to do? Because she can’t expect him to reveal his identity in a relationship that’s only lasted a few months. There could be ugly breakups where the girl tries to expose him. It’s not just his identity he was protecting but also his family’s. So is he just not supposed to date normal humans? I don’t blame him for wanting to live life. He put lives before his relationship & the one time he actually chased after her, Rick got turned into a cyborg. After all that, she still got pissy about him running away. If anything, Mark should be the one calling HER out. I hate how the show acted like Mark was the sole problem & I hate even more how he just accepted her back instantly. Dude needs to just move on to Eve & leave Amber in the rear view for good.
in my opinion i think that the reason for omni man to kill the guardians when he did was because he feared that mike might turn against him and go to the guardians. And he probably wouldn't be able to stop then together
That's my thought too, remember his stunned reaction in ep1 when Mark's telling them that his powers are kicking in? That's his "Oh shit"-moment when he realizes he cannot put off his mission anymore. I think he was hoping that Mark would never manifest his powers because then he could continue being a family man and pretending to be a hero until both Mark and Debbie had died of old age and never had to know about the Viltrumite mission.
Robot is now much weaker surely , he can die much easier and can’t fight as himself anymore as he’s just a regular human - he just controls everyone - whereas before he always did stuff from far away as a robot
You guys won't know the answer until you watch the last episode. You've probably watched it by now but at this point in your release schedule they don't make it clear about anything to the last second
This show probably won't end any time soon. This season is only the very beginning. It covers about 13/15 of the 144 comic issues. The comics are definitely worth reading IMO. There's a lot of crazy stuff heading our way in the future.
can we take a moment to appreciate that Atom Eve has Godmode Hack powers and she could just re-arrange Omniman particles into a liquid state or something like that without too much effort, regardless of how many planets he can destroy?
1.) He still has intensely effective reflexes. That'd only work if she could get him while he was asleep or otherwise completely off-guard. 2.) There's another reason why she doesn't just morph living things into sludge or whatever; we'll see when it comes up.
3:53 "So he was an actual person at one point?" Dude... he's an actual person when you said that. Just because he's deformed doesn't mean he's not human.
In the comics Mark used Amber for sex or quick love and ignored her for multiple issues after that lmao She didn’t even have a personality Your definition of a well written female character is one who doesn’t mind being treated like trash on the sidewalk lmao?
Neither Mark nor Amber handled their relationship well. I'm not putting more on one over the other. Mark should have told her, but if Amber figured it out, she should have confronted him on it.
Mark should've told his "secret identity" to amber ... They were dating for like 6 months lol.... Spiderman didn't tell his identity to his grand mother lol.... And u want marl to tell his secret identity to a girl who he has been dating only for 6 months..🤡
@@allinonechannel637 the whole secret identity trope has been the same in every series ever and everyone acts like that's the way it should be. The issue at hand is what does it matter that he has been with her for a short time. He chose to be in a relationship with a non super. He should tell her or leave not lie to her like he did and end up looking like a 🤡
@@Kodabear6275 revealing your superhero identity seems like it's taken as seriously as marriage, so I don't blame a child for not wanting to make that commitment
@@allinonechannel637 Why don't they? I want you to explain the reasoning behind it. There is a difference between telling your partner and telling the world. Mark telling Amber ONLY affects Amber. Unless she blabs about it to everyone, she won't be put in any increased danger because if someone knows that Mark is Invincible, they will already know he is dating Amber. Whether or not she knows doesn't change this. You guys need to understand that a secret identity is for THE PUBLIC. Not for your personal life with family and close friends/dating partners. If Mark is actually in love and taking it seriously, then him not telling her means he doesn't trust her. She has a right to be pissed about that given that she gave him a ton of chances.
Amber was right, if Mark knew he was going to lie constantly to her he shouldn't have been dating her. He's free to keep his secrets (as is his right) and not date her, but lying is fatal to a relationship and it's more than reasonable to consider it a dealbreaker even if you already know the truth and even if they have a "good reason" for lying. Also, maybe Amber wants someone who can actually spend time with her instead of being absent all the time, which is also reasonable. I see it like the job situation; even if his boss had known he was a superhero, he still needed his employee to be on time and at work, or else that's not his employee.
You are 100% correct. The Amber haters are so weird to me. She just wants a boyfriend who puts in the time and doesn't lie to her. It's up to Mark to make that and being a superhero work. Besides that fact, and I've said it plenty of times now, but a secret identity doesn't mean shit. Once a superhero is in a relationship with someone else they put that person at inherent risk.
Mark didn't intend to lie to her, he didn't intend to not be with her, I understood where amber was coming from until she said she knew for weeks when she said the previous day that he ran away when he didn't, her character confronts on having information or something along the lines but why didn't she confront him and tell him I know your a super before he told her, if she said that and he lied and said "No, I'm not" then you can firmly say mark was the absolute dick in the situation, They both fucked up their relationship was bad from the beginning tbf.
This is what confuses me , so 13:18 omni man looks so worried for marks safety and keeps tryna save him , but then next episode he does what he does? Makes no sense
Just binged this in 1 night I hate amber the gay kid is fucking hilarious I'm quite pleased with the way new age issues are depicted in this cartoon some cringe parts though not as many as the other series that have come out recently.
