Main problem I had with the special is how illogical things get. Sure this show played fast and loose with reality but it was mostly grounded. Yet here, Josh gets arrested and sent to prison for something he didn't do, and then Drake and Josh are harassed by this asshole cop...and he never gets punished for it. And of course, despite this being the last Drake and Josh anything...we never see Megan punished for her antics.

I actually really love this movie. This isn't my nostalgic memory failing me, I watch it like... 7 hours ago. I just love how insanely stupid it is. It's stupid in the best way possible, even if it's...*really* stupid.

I honestly thought it was one of Nick's best shows and I do think some of the humor holds up well and the We Will Rock You moment in The Storm was one of the coolest moments in this shows. Looking back, I don't like Drake and Josh as much as I used to. Some moments in the show are more stupid than funny and it gets really mean-spirited to the point of discomfort, like most Dan Schneider shows. Seriously, Danny boy, what is so funny of people's misery... Oh wait, he's been fired, never mind.

I find this movie so watchable & interesting precisely because it's a homespun addled wreck with beats in all the wrong places. It's just like listening to an album by The Shaggs. According to press quotes given at the time of release Bell & Peck gave a lot of notes and did their own improv on this..uhhh...script....so there's that. That said, given the reality subtext (I'm 80% sure Bell & Peck were doing substances and possibly hooking up while shooting) it would have made for a much stronger more plausible film if a) it were about D&J as a couple trying to adopt a child with their existing rapsheet, and b) it spoke to an older demo i.e. highschool/College kids with something like a TV-15 rating (as dialogue in the final-cut retained innuendo about prison-rape and gay sex among other adult references, perhaps this point is moot...)

I have problems with this movie megan was pretty mean in this movie this being a Christmas special she could have helped her brother even without the oboe just saying This movie didn't need to have a monkey scene plus in my opinion this movie should have been split in two Yes drake and josh should have turned it off I assumed that josh told bludge about the oboe
