God.......he was Gorgeous !! INXS was an incredible band but Michael Hutchence set the world on fire !! His phenomenal voice, outstanding lyrics, dazzling, sensuel charisma.......he had it, he just had it all...
Maybe the fright of not measuring up to what all of us expected of him, closeness to someone who understood, really understood his needs of love and trust...... Could any of us meet the entire world and meet their demands? Not one of us I think.....
I love how Michael had an incredible vocal range. He could play high and low notes without trying very hard. He was an incredible vocalist. Also, I love seeing the way he got to know his voice. There was a significant change from the first album to the last, obviously experience and age have a lot to do with it. He could play with his voice and make different melismas that gave a wonderful touch to each song.
Exactly!! Not only that. The way he carried himself, the way he danced. Completely different too. I still cannot believe it was the same guy from Just Keep Walking.
Just want to say that yes, Michael was one of the best frontmen ever, but love, recognition and respect must go to the other band members as well. Everyone in InXs carried their weight and contributed to a powerful performance night in and night out....Kudos!!
this is SUCH a perfect performance. Michael was in absolutely top vocal and visual form in ths video. obviously the rest of the band are superb artists in their own rights. a once in a lifetime band. RIP Michael

You know when a singer can sing when it sounds just as good (if not better) then from a recording. You can't say for a lot of so called "singers" today. This is why you pay to go to a concert.
So lucky I grew up in the 80's..I went to their concert and Damn they were amazing..Michael sounded the same like in this video..His voice was perfection..I guess fame was really hard for him..He was a beautiful soul
One of the few bands in the world even to this day, that sound just as good LIVE, if not better! In 1985 this sounded like the future. In 2019, it still does.

I owned this gig (Rocking The Royals) on VHS back in the day and literally played it till it broke If this had not come along until now, they would be calling it the hottest new music on the Planet.
I grew up in the 80's and saw INXS in concert..and Damn they left me speechless..I had the chills the whole time Michael sang..He sounded the same like in this video..But even better since you see them in person and see their energy..No autotune no lip syncing like the singers today..Just a bunch of amazing guys and their instruments..and Michael lighting the show on fire
What I need ?? A time machine to take me back in time, give me the chance to see you live.....This concert Rocking the Royals, and their show Live Baby Live in Wembly Stadium was their best concerts..................THIS was, to me at least, INXS at their peak, one look at them would be enough. Vibrant glowing performances, their unique sound ( especially the sax ) and their provocing lyrics....add the charismatic, dynamic and powerful voice of Micael Hutchence, above and beyond so many others......What more could anyone ask for ?? I miss you and I always will .....

I watch this on tv.- Rocking the Royals. I loved how some of the audiences copied Michael dance - his Choreography . Michael was shy at the end he left teary eye. He was Emotional - but Tim Ferris clapped & thanked them. They put Australia on top by everyone listening to hit after hits. They were Sensational

Hahhaahaaaa.. I took my daughter to a Depeche Mode concert when she was 13, and she was SO angry. Like - Old People's music!! For EFFS sake mum. Lol..She's 29 today and keeps on collecting concert tickets having some 300 odd in her collection now. Do i need to say, nearly all of the bands and artists from "the good old days". ;D)
