Awesome video as always, today I went back and watched some of Alex Newborn’s videos from “My Ghostbusters Pet Peeves” and man you were mentioned in a bunch of those, pretty awesome

I’m actually thinking of buying a proton pack soon, do u have any recommendations for a 1:1 scale gb1 proton pack with a extend barrel?

Are you wanting to build one or buy one completed? Proton Props has done some commissions, not sure if he still is at the moment. Either way, be aware that it gets expensive quickly.

@@TheProtonPackIsNotAToy the funny thing is, I have already been looking into proton props and this just proves that it’s good. Thank you for your help.

Did you get the 3D print v-hook? Man, I'd be leery of that cracking off, but if you are just using the wand that comes with the Spirit pack, I guess you won't have to worry about the weight. I'm replacing our wands with 90%-scale printed replacements, so they will be heavier and need the metal v-hooks. I got a couple coming from Charlesworth Dynamics, along with a trap parts kit (refitting the Spirit trap too).

Yeah, I’m not worried about it failing with the lightweight Spirit wand. Charlesworth makes quality stuff from what I’ve seen.

Hey Matt, I have a slightly off-topic question. I don’t know if you mentioned this in a previous video but recently I’ve been looking through some forms and threads and I’ve seen some posts about Alice frames, snapping at the mounting area on a full scale pack. I want to make it clear that I did not build my proton pack. It’s mainly 3-D printed, no hefty aluminum parts, etc, but does still have some weight to it. I was looking at some Alice frames online and most, if not all of them have that slight bend towards the top. my alice frame is straight up and down and has no bend. Should I be more careful or is it OK? Please let me know.-David

Yes I’ve heard of that happening. I’d recommend using a bolt no bigger than a 1/4-20 and not drilling the hole big enough for the bolt to move around in it. I’ve also considered adding a brace to the upright bar to give it more strength, or maybe some JB Weld to thicken that area. Some people go as far as not drilling into the frame at all, but using a U-shaped bracket and drilling 2 holes in the motherboard instead of just one. It’s your pack and your investment, so go with the level of durability and/or accuracy you are comfortable with.
