This week, Apple is releasing iOS 16.
For parents, this change includes the first significant improvements to the usability of their Screen Time parental controls since its 2018 release.
By “usability,” we mean making set-up easier for parents.
Historically, setting up Screen Time has been difficult for many parents. It’s a complaint we hear about often from our followers.
But the new age toggle is going to simplify what used to take some parents over 30 steps to set up correctly.

Screen time really needs a keywords blocker instead of typing in websites you need to block. This would be 100 x better and parents will worry less about what there kids are viewing, multiply blocking sessions not just between one time frame. Block apps at locations e.g school Add these Apple and you would have perfected screen time

This is very cool to hear. I wish the slider controls that you mentioned were available in screen time without needing a Family sharing account. I am an adult, yet I can choose to block adult content on my phone. I understand that not all filters are guaranteed to work, but at least I can choose to play clean music rather than explicit versions through Apple Music, block explicit content in Siri, block passcode changes, and with a screen time setting, block apps from requesting to track me on all my Apple devices at once. I also blocked the news app via screen time because I prefer third-party news apps over apples built-in app.

I have iOS 16.2 and there is no "family" button anywhere, especially not right under my profile.

Screen time is so annoying, lmao y’all controlling parents can’t get over the fact that your child is growing up and doesn’t need you peeking over their shoulder 🤦‍♂️
