Dang! Thought the battery life was my phone! Draining so quick for the first time since I’ve had it, not lasting all day like usual. Battery health on 100% still too.
my phone was behaving buggy too, mainly related to Files app or the sharing extension. Whenever I opened up Files it completely froze up anything related to document sharing.. on 17.4.1 I still get the volume control bounce tho
Is apple ever gonna fix thise issues? Or is it Just for always. Im downloading it rn and im scared i switched from samsung to iphone 2 days ago so i hope its goos
I just need for Apple to fix the battery drainage nothing else in an update matters to me right now I think they should keep the focus on that right now for it seems to be the issue with a lot of iPhone users.
my 12 pro battery was also worst in 17.4 and also phone was heating quickly while charging, now after 17.4.1 It seems fine. Let's give it few days and then we will find out if the issues are being resolved or not?
If your battery is close to 80% I recommend you change it, installed a new battery on my 13 Pro Max and WOW, screen on time is crazy right now, but 17.4.1 still have some issues for me: sometimes when typing fast in some apps the clicking sounds just go crazy loud :|
Please test it on older models as well next time, a bunch of people still use 11pro/pro max, 12 pro/pro max and we were wondering if it is worth doing the new updates, if it will moves slowly after the new update.. Thanks!
You mentioned alarms not sounding when they should, and that has been a problem for months with me! The issue is if you set multiple alarms and one of them isn't cleared before the other one starts, all the remaining ones will not make any sound - I finally narrowed down the issue and sent a bug report a few weeks back to Apple, here's hopes they fix it
Hi there! Unfortunately for me the issue persists after the update. You seem to have understood the problem better than me. Do you have an advice what to avoid or how you can work around it? I don't have it often, but several days a week, a timer or even an alarm clock doesn't give a sound.
There is most definitely a battery drain. I can be sitting idol or doing little throughout the day and quickly lose my charge. By the end of the day, forget about it.
Yes!!! They also fixed the widget clock dark/light thing. Before it would stay white after sunset when I used my devices. Now it changes automatically even when I’m using my device.
That is thanks to Apple. I wish they would fully remove the percentage, but at least they listened to my suggestion to make it say normal and then go into more details. They need to bring that to older phones too.
Well, it’s actually valid obsession. I had a 86% battery health in my 14PM. In one year usage. The daily battery life was 💩! So happy I upgraded to the 15PM. Battery % matters!
I updated to this and now my battery won’t charge. It will not go past 20% and while it’s on the charger it goes back down to 10% and now it’s on 2% about to die! My phone is in pristine condition. I have a iPhone 12. Never dropped and no water damage!😊

He obviously doesn’t want to update because he literally said there’s no issues currently and doesn’t want to have any as Apple has a notorious history of bugging out phones and eating battery life with newly released updates.
I had a few bugs with iOS 17.4, mainly the battery drain, I had to go back to charging it every single day! There was an error with Markup in Photos, every time I tried to draw on a picture, after a couple of minutes, it would crash. It was a decent update, my iPhone did run slower though. Hopefully this update fixes things.
Yep my alarm failed this morning too….luckily my 3 year old daughter hasn’t had a software update so she was up and early and bouncing around. She also seems to understand better than Siri too :-)
iPhone update 17.4.1 is a nightmare. It deleted or has hidden my contact names and info. When people call, I no longer see who is calling and every time I get an update it’s a damn clown show. May be time to switch to android. This just hit my phone last night and it was working great yesterday but today it’s a pain. iPhone quality seems to be on a steady decline and of course we come to expect problems every time apple drops a new iPhone. Buy new or get frustrated. This will be my last iPhone as the headaches and limited signal are more than I care to deal with when using a $1000 phone.
I just released a video going over that in more detail but also it seems like it, but it takes a few days for that to settle in so we won’t know probably for a few more days
iPhone 13 Pro Max, lag when presing unlock button or tapping the screen, 4 -5 seconds of black screen and slow Face ID unlock, then, everything normal, repeating this couple times daily …
Never had so many issues with 17.4. Completely messed up my music library amongst other things. Come on Apple your devices are not cheap, sort your s**t out!!
I still had notifications' round edge bug(where they appeared at right angles initially then change to round edges) on 17.4, and sometimes keyboard sound bug(where they unexpectedly get loud). Hopefully they fixed them for good on 17.4.1
Well in ios 17.4.1 my phone wont light up when I get texts I have to wake it up and the notification is there. This happens all the time though but its really bad on this version
I’ve noticed that when pod cast are played with Apple car play they made a change. The pod cast used to pause when the Waze gives directions then start. Now when it starts again it actually rewinds a couple of seconds. Can be kind of bothersome.
Just checked and updated my 14 pro max thanks for the alert Aaron , a total of 390 mb in Australia , started the update on my 12 pro max , a total of 361 mb.
iOS 17.4.1 still laggy. Lag throughout the system navigation. Laggy transitions and animations. Bring back the iOS 16 smoothness. My device 14 pro max.
The last few months, DHCP has been failing on my iPad and I've had to manually configure a static IP address. I'm gonna update tomorrow morning when my iPad is charged, hopefully this fixes it!
@zollotech I just noticed a bug on my 13 pro max, the True Tone on my phone is now reverse, when I turn it off the display gets warmer and when I turn it on the display is normal but before it was reversed the case
@@GayRelay The performance feels less smoth than 17.4, the battery backup is just OK in 24 hours, But, I face screen glitch while I use the phone to play a game (the temperature is quite hot). But, the glitch has gone after I force restart the phone. Do not know, this is bug or my hardware 😭 Wish the phone nothing with the hardware
Can you tell me how to revert the colors on this update? They’ve changed from orange on the alarm, calculator etc, to red, and other colors have changed as well. I really like the old colors. And it looks like your phone didn’t update these defaults. Thanks.
