This game was absolutely amazing to be at. I’ve gone to Texans, Rockets, Astros and UH football games many times. The atmosphere in Hofheinz is ELECTRIC. The culture shift is so beautiful to watch 🙌🏼❤️

Shead is kinda of like a throwback pg from the 90s (a mix of Jason Williams at Duke and Marbury at Georgia Tech) and I'm here for it all. Hopefully he'll be playing at the next level next year.

I wouldn’t describe it as a cakewalk, most of these games are knife fights. This league is amazing and Coog fans are beside themselves happy to be competing with these teams.

Uh, who in the old Big 12 is hating the *joining* teams? We *love* that Houston and other teams have joined the conference, especially when that was so direly needed after the two major defections! No, it's the teams *defecting* that we hate! U of Texas, U of Oklahoma, don't let the door hit you on the way out! Please, make yourselves at home, Houston! ISU fought hard and went down swinging against a tough Houston team, which is what I expected from them. It's a great learning experience and they will do better in the tourney. ISU and Houston will be Big 12 contenders in the coming years along with KU.

Giving Houston a scare like that in their own arena is very impressive. Iowa State is legit. Not surprised that they went up in KenPom is multiple areas after this game.

Both teams are really good, I think if Iowa State doesn't come out 1-7 with 9 turnovers this one goes down to the wire. Anyway I am sure both teams are glad they don't have to play each other anymore.

Depending on how brackets come in, this could easily be an E8 or F4 matchup in March. Iowa State is extremely dangerous and was in this the whole game even with costly unforced errors. Big 12 Basketball has been on fire the past few seasons.

Officiating was super inconsistent. Even as a Cyclone fan, I felt that Houston got away with an egregious foul and then would get called for a little one, and Iowa State got called for a few of those as well.

I predicted Houston wouldn’t be reset in Big-12 basketball (got it right in football) but pick up more losses than normal. so far they’re doing great. if they were in the AAC, they’d probably be undefeated with only USF and FAU as competition. making it harder to gauge just how good they are However, if you told me (today) whether I trust Houston to go to an elite eight/final four in the tournament i’d probably still say no. Especially in what quadrant they could be in. Purdue and Houston for some reason still reek first weekend exit to me. UConn is the clear cut favorite and Arizona is uhhh, I don’t know about them either because the Pac-12 is beyond garbage this year

You guys just got in the big 12 after 30 years, nobody is hating on Houston, maybe they did that in the AAC we don’t do it in the Big 12, learn the culture.
