This is an attempt to compile the many, many times I have felt that life as an Iowa State fan is completely unfair. Side effects may include spontaneous anger and sadness. Go State🌪️.
There was a Bowl game in the Early 2000 betwen Iowa and Florida. Iowa got hosed by the officals. From Facemasks against the player being facemasks. To the terrible force out rule being called incorrectly. It was rough
Out of conference we get screwed too. Double foul against Michigan St. In the elite 8. Ohio State and the Kraft nonsense. Field goal called wide a few years ago against Alabama. In conference the charge/reach in against Niang vs KU at home should be mentioned too.
All will be included in part two… if I ever get around to making it!! Kraft’s entire game could be included. The reach-in call on Niang made it on Pardon the Interruption on ESPN the day after that game! The double foul with Paul Shirley against MSU cost us a national championship IMO
You forgot one more play from Iowa State vs Texas football game in 2010, after that terrible call where the refs called the Texas RB down, even though Jemariah George strip the ball, the very next play, Texas RB clearly fumbles the ball and Iowa State picked up the loose ball but the ref said that the Texas RB was down even though he clearly wasn't
How can you honestly think that hit against OU wasn’t targeting. Head or neck area are the hits they’re trying to clean up. The others were legit screw jobs though.
@@bennybuckets22 I had read it and at the beginning it was clear it was. But with the title of the video and the ending text, it appears it was trying to be justified as not being targeting.
@@TBagnU69 nah, I’m just saying that guys shouldn’t be kicked out of games for a hit like that. It especially hurt as a fan seeing Isheem Young (one of our best defensive players) get booted that early in the biggest game in ISU history, especially for a non helmet-to-helmet hit. But yes, by rule it was correct.
The targeting one is a foul, the receiver is defenseless, as he just caught the ball, and the forcible contact is to the head, so yes, that’s a targeting foul
@@bennybuckets22 Like Recent or in General. One of the Worst Officated College games ever was Iowa vs Florida in the Orange Bowl in 2006. It was terrible from Facemasks on the Player being facemasked. or the Terrible force out rule being called incorrectly. Its Bad enough the Commentators are calling it out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qBroOeFWlN8.html
