Played this in probably 93, in high school. I remember being so obsessed by this piece and all the intricacies and emotion. I still remember the how hard some of the flute parts were-and that was a long time ago! Lol. It’s a powerful piece and still moves me all these decades later. Great job!
What a fantastic conductor,huh? I should know..I had him for 5 years at Akron...and played this very piece with him..love Mike Golemo. One of the VERY best!
Did at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp back in...oh...like 1987 when I was a freshman in high school! This along with Festive Overture and Pineapple Poll. Good times!
Unless they did that line-up more than once that summer, I was in that band too, playing bassoon. (Had totally forgotten Pineapple Poll until you mentioned it.) Came here to this video because I was considering trying to convince my current director we should play it.
