Followed every step of the video and everything worked to fix our iPad screen. The only problem is that the iPad won’t charge up now, any idea what would cause that???
Is nasty when a technician do this most people won't understand but you don't put a white digitizer on a black tablet or put your hands on the lcd without gloves cause you can never get rid of the fingerprints You started really desent but at the end you went down the toilet Also you don't trust the adhesives that comes with the digitizer
Yes it is questionable to use a white digitizer on an iPad that was black originally, and yes one should use gloves - but this may have been a Good-Enough repair done at bargain prices for a customer who just wanted it to work. As for the adhesive that come pre-applied to replacement digitizers: it is complete shit. 9 out of 10 times the screen ALWAYS lifts at one side or edge, and this is why I also use the now legendary B7000 with mad fans around the world - magic gravity rubber to make sure that I never have to worry about it again.
Sometimes these aftermarket digitizers are really hard to snap in. Try to align and use more pressure but be carefull not to bend the pins. You might need to try another digitizer
Can’t reattach the home button. It won’t attach to circuit or board or whatever it’s called. It doesn’t have a nice place to pop in like the digitizer and lcd.. 😖
