Hey Noah, do a video combining this iPad, the iPhone SE, and the Apple Watch SE., They are the cheapest iOS devices that will get you into the apple ecosystem.
@NoahHerman I have an IPad 9th gen, the visuals on games look great but I can’t play games because the app start lagging and then crash. Which makes it not possible to play games, do you know anything about this or have any tips?
I’m using a 32GB 7th gen iPad and I’m thinking whether I should upgrade my iPad to the 9th Gen or the IPad Air 4(my iPad is working completely fine and I’m using iCloud so storage is not a problem for me) And I wanna know does this iPad still have the air gap between the screen?
Just got mine in the mail today. ru-vid.comUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.
I appreciate how you make content that caters to normal people and focuses on devices that are often overlooked by other influencers. You're the best, Noah!
@@NoahHerman do a video comparing the iPhone SE, Apple Watch SE, and this iPad. These products are often slept on. No one cares about them, they only care about the most expensive stuff.
I love that now I have 64gigas but i did Survive totally fine with 32 Lol. The only reason i changed my iPad was Because the screen broke. You know got the Spider look.? But If it wasnt for it. I guess I Wouldnt have upggraded.
My mom outdid herself and bought me a iPad 9th gen for Christmas and I’m so excited. I’ll mostly be using it for casual things but I’m excited to know I have a device that will last when i go back to school and when I wanna do some artsy stuff too! Loving it so far
Hi, does it have a cut screen when watching youtube/ netflix? been thinking of buying this but im scared the screen gets smaller and im plan to use it for media consumption
I’ve just recently got my iPad 9th Generation and I am absolutely thrilled with it, it’s really quick and the screen is reycrisp clear. I upgraded has I had the iPad Air which I purchased back in 2016. I got one back has I have it mostly for RU-vid and for drawing on, which I have recently downloaded a tonne of drawing apps and just recently got a inexpensive stylus for it, which works really well on the iPad. But the iPad 9th Generation is an awesome tablet to own money well spent. :)
Glad apple keep the same price as previous gen, though the design kinda old, the performance is really good compared to other tablets at the same price tag.
64GB base iPad is the sweet spot for me... enough space to keep some files (iclound sync and Photos sync), a very versatile device to do some work (email, documents and stuff), some specialized work for me (Lutron ESN, HomeworksQS scene modification without open the laptop, and testing connection for Crestron processors). Great to edit some family videos on the go when in vacations, etc. The only downside for me, is the wifi version don't have a GPS which would be very useful, but it worth the money. I'll be buy one when arrived to my country.
im greatful with ipad 8 in here i can still do everything and also doing my favourite apps that i've been using for everyday task and ofher stuff with my ipad for travel music art and for reading and talking a note and using social media and browsing on the internet
Great review and am sold. My 5th Gen iPad needs a $200 Apple repair but still works so I’ll wait for holiday prices and wait for your iPad mini 6 review.
Get confused between ipad mini 6 or ipad 9, but after watching this video, i know which one that I should buy.. thank you Noah, really detail on that device 🌻
The base ipad 9 along with the Apple Pencil is a surprisingly useful tool for students. You have to use it to know what I’m talking about. Reading, taking notes, annotating documents and the occasional entertainment….in the right hands it’s a lethal weapon. For the others I know it’s just another accessory gathering dust in the drawer.
I had an iPad mini 2 for years! I didn’t want to part with it, but it stopped updating and some apps no longer worked on it. I now have an iPad 9th gen and I love it! The camera is better, I got a knockoff pencil from amazon for under 20 bucks, and the battery lasts for days with light use. I carry it everywhere I go.
Its the ipad pro 10.5 (2017) except its half the price it was in 2017 and it has ios support for the next 6 years so if your just starting college buy it today and you will still be using it as a masters student now thats good value.
This. I’m actually debating trading in my iPad Pro 10.5 for this to basically “renew” for $139. All my accessories work and I get a fresh clean device supported for even longer. Is there any reason not to?
You should make a video on refurbished older iPad Pros compared to iPad 9. I have an iPad Pro 2018 (9.7 inch) and just updated to iOS 15 and I'm shocked at how good it performs.
I've been away from Apple for a year and a half now ever since i ditched my iPhone for a Galaxy S20. I just ordered this tablet because my old samsung budget tablet is so slow now and this is at such a great price, a better deal than any android tablet out there.
I can't understand why is everyone whining about the "old" design. It's a freaking rectangle with lcd on it. The frame is not sharp but rounded and so what? And it's easier to hold the iPad with thicker bezels and not obstructing the content. And it's more modern design that the iPhone 14 will be next year because it will be based on 11 year old iPhone 4 design. :-) You forgot to mention that iPad 9 has 3.5 mm headphone jack.
fully agree on the “old@ design comments…the “old” design iPads are actually timeless designs that are designed for form and function The newer square bezels are actually quite impractical on the hands than the smoother rounded edges…and actually a little thinner although Apple tells you they are not (bs)
Just bought one and can’t wait till it gets here! Using it for business so not even concerned about cam quality or any aesthetic. As long as it makes me $$$$$$
Bought an iPad air 3 a year ago and still love it. True tone, laminated display and the design(thin and smaller bezels) is the reason to buy the air 3 instead of the iPad 8th gen when it comes out. Although I have thought about buying the pro 10.5' but it was few years old already and couldn't find new ones.
The iPad Air three is great, that iPad is slept on. It never got a lot of attention. I might get that in the future. I still have the fifth generation iPad and it is still great.
@@123theprodigy5 yess I also have the 5th gen ipad and it’s still good, but I only use it now for studies, because I’m a heavy gamer I recently bought ipad air 4 and its so good 😭
@@doyoungkim8436 i have it too and it works well but I really miss the apple pencil feature so I'm probably gonna upgrade because of that, still didn't decide which one to upgrade to
Currently watching this video on my iPad 9th gen which has been great! If you don’t care for/can’t afford a more expensive iPad, this is a great option! I do plan on upgrading soon and giving this iPas to my dad as I want better graphics on the games I play (primarily Genshin Impact) which means I’ll greatly benefit from an M1 chip. Which is why I’ll probably upgrade to an iPad Air. I’ll have to wait a few months for that though hehe-
I got it at 64 gb as I only use it for watching yt and netflix only plus a facebook and messenger only. I can say that it has no major performance diff from ipad 8th gen. 😊
Originally I thought of getting the air 4 but have decided on this instead. Non laminated does not seem such an issue. Is the reflection bad though without the anti reflective coating?
It's really bad for the eyes. iPad 9 has 40,000 pwm! Your average oled iPhone which puts an incredible strain on your eyes has just 250! That's the main reason I am considering to buy Air 4, which has 0 pwm, instead of iPad 9. What do you think?
@@sardar_gurjot Hi, your statement is confusing as the only iPad that has PWM is the pro 2021 12.9 inch mini LED. All other iPads are LCD so the iPad 9 has 0 pwm too.
im getting this for my mum in less than an hour!!! she only needs it for reading the news and some casual video content... I think she'll love it(and also scold me for "wasting" my money 😂)
Thanks for mentioning the advantage of having a non-laminated screen. It does make it easier if the screen cracks because all you do is replace that and not the display. Otherwise, for what it is, the iPad 9 is solid.
Shit I have bought iPad Air 4. I had been preventing my self from this purchase before I bought it. To be honest, I expected that iPad Air wouldn’t be interesting but it was only my issue. And now I can definitely say that iPad Air is delightful gadget. So, if you have some extra money for this purchase you must get it. I assure that you won’t regret. That was my attitude. I think these 2 devices are great.
I. And across a problem which occur on 2 iPad 9th Generation: The volume in phone calls (FaceTime or VoIP app) has to be on 100% in order to hear something. When watching videos, if the sound is good if volume is less than 50%.
I have the 6th generation, and every single time I play Genshin. it lags so much, it kicks me out, and every time my Raiden does her ult, it looks really like she's taking out a purple stick. So, with the money I saved. Buying this will be very good
Hey , nice video. Do the photo app in the 9 have auto correct like in the iPhone 13 or is it a diff app?? I just like the auto correct on some photos and want to use a iPad instead of my phone
Thanks for this video review.. I am planning to buy this one but I want to know if this ipad 9th gen can transfer around 15 minutes video to iPhone 11 using airdrop? I hope you know. Thank you so much..
I got the iPad pro not sure why I am watching this, and when ordering made the mistake of ordering the black keyboard for the M1 iPad. Works as if it was make for it
do you recommend the stylus pencil instead of the apple pencil over the long term? does The stylus pencil damage the iPad 9 screen? I am on a budget. I just use an iPad for note-taking.
Considering the price, which is a wiser choice ipad air 4 or ipad 9? I'll be using it for creative work and school productivity. I want to know as well which ipad is "future proof", like good for 5yrs??
The difference between the iPad 4 and iPad 9 is the chip. iPad 9 is A13 vs A14 in the air 4. That said, product support will last a year longer on the Ipad 9 since it came out in 2021 vs 2020 for the Air 4.(basically comparing the Iphone 11 to the 12 in terms of chip set). For productivity, they can both handle the same load. My iPad Air 3 handles office productivity just fine, but I also have the M1 pro. I might trade the air 3 for the 9 because I like the finger print scanner.
I would say buy Air 4. The biggest deal breaker for me with this iPad 9 was that it was 40,000 pwm dithering whereas your average iPhone which gives terrible eyestrains and headaches has 250, the Air 4 on the other hand has 0 pwm! So if you want to put your eyes on it for long term I'd recommend Air 4.
I want to mention, I ordered this iPad today and its not coming for more than a month (because of supply issues) latest arrival date is December 6th. So if you do get that holiday price, you might not actually get the device by the holidays.
I just ordered mine yesterday, it says it won't arrive until December 14th because they're all out of stock. From Amazon. This happens around the holidays with shortages and shipping slowing down.
@@justalilcray2229 I pre-ordered a 13 Pro Max 😊 I got a 50% loyalty discount from my network provider since my family has been a costumer from them since 2002.
Anybody please help me decide iPad 9 with 256gb or iPad Air 4th gen with 64gb? I'm gonna use it for procreate ( bcs i'm a beginner artist ), note taking, edit short videos, and maybe play genshin. Plus, i'm probably gonna be stuck with it for the next 5 years.
@@sabillamaulidha3861 Hello, i decided to go for the 9th since it's a lot cheaper and it was worth it for me. Also it has newer tech than the Air 4, and i heard that the Air 4th and 5th gens are so fragile, they bent so easily. That's why i went for the 9th gen. However, since now the 10th gen's out already you might wanna check em out hehe. The point is, 9th gen is good enough for me, it performs very well.
@@sabillamaulidha3861 Indeed but only if you use the higher canvas resolution in pixel and i've never really use the highest resolution so far. I've only used the screen size resolution or the square one, nothing higher than 2500px. Then again, i think i don't really have a project that requires me to work on a canvas higher than 2500px. So, it doesn't bother me.
why am i the only one that thinks 32 gigabytes are JUST FINE FOR AN IPAD? like seriously, i have TONS AND LOTS of apps and i only have 32 gigabytes on my base-level 6th gen iPad and i work just fine with it!
