@@TomerBenDavid hey man!! Great to get a reply. Hmm I'm no good at explaining maybe look up ASMR on google it will explain better. It basically means you have a soft voice that's relaxing to listen to. I love ASMR and you have the voice for it. You could prob start an ASMR channel and get subs, haha! Cheers!
Thank you for having the time to test actual things so many people actually care about, not everyone wants to edit videos on their ipad or just game on it. so thank you again. probably add notability and good notes as those are the best note taking apps due to their functionalities but yes it all most or less the same.
So confused. Did this exact test on my iPad Air 2 with a 5$ stylus and there was 0 lag whatsoever no matter how fast I drew where here I can clearly see it lagging behind as he writes.....Is Apple Pencil just garbage orrrrrr??
Hi, great video. Just wanted to know whether a screen protector is extremely essential in case most of my work is education/reading/note-taking? I will be using a folio and will put my life on stake to prevent it from any preventable accidental damage but does the regular use result in any evident damage to the screen? (including the use of my fingers and the pencil) Thank you
Hi, thanks for the very informative video! I was wondering if you also use a screen protector so that the pencil does not scratch your screen? Pls let me know before I do some serious damage to my new device
Hello, thank you for your video. I have some questions. Is it worth to get a screen protector (especially the matte screen protector) to write on Ipad Air 4.? Did your ipad air 4 also have a protector? I am considering buying a screen protector but i'm afraid the protector will reduce the writing feeling.
please i have a quistsion i am using samsung tablet and i am using squid for note taking but i am not able to write on it when my hand is on touch with screen and it is too hard to keep my hand far from tablet what should i do is there any option?
Did your Samsung tablet come with S Pen? Only S Pen will have palm rejection. And only certain apps will have perfect palm rejection (only take pen input).
Im trying to decide between this and the iPad pro 12.9 for university. The iPad pro is quite expensive (as i also need to buy a laptop for uni) but I'm concerned the iPad air will be too small. I am doing premed at uni. Any suggestions?
If you're not in a rush, wait for the refurbished iPads to appear on the Apple refurbished store again. www.apple.com/shop/refurbished/ipad Alternatively, consider the Samsung Tab S7 which at the time of this comment is US $500 (after $100 discount and $50 coupon). amzn.to/35QZqwo You can use that savings to get a 20+ inch 1080P monitor for $100-150 that you can connect to the Samsung tablet for a more proper computing experience. Or get those portable 15-inch external monitors (eg C-Force) with power pass through that you can get a larger display, at the same time charge your tablet. For that $500 you get more storage, RAM, S Pen included. iPad Air 2020 is US $599 without Apple Pencil.
That's because my palm on glass creates lots of friction and can't glide smoothly, and I have to re-record. But palm rejection is good. With apps that allow only pen input, palm rejection is perfect. You can't even draw with your finger if you want to.
The writing experience is about 85% same. The delay with writing on iPad Pro is 8 ms while that on iPad Air 4 is 16 ms (due to the 120 Hz and 60 Hz displays respectively). In short, you are not gonna notice any delay if you haven't written on any 120 Hz screen before. This is definitely not a deal breaker. That 120 Hz is not worth the 200 dollars. But if you are a professional sketcher, you should opt for the Pro version. For note taking, iPad Air 4 is more than pleasant, as we can judge from this video. I have shared this review after viewing several videos.
If you're getting a tablet mostly for taking notes, iPad Air is better simply because it's cheaper and still does the job. No need to spend so much money just to get a tablet to take notes.
I carry a 15.6" laptop to school, and I'm hoping with the iPad, I won't have to carry the huge laptop and still be able to do everything i could do on my windows laptop, basically use notion, multitask and take notes. So I'm wondering if the 12.9" will be a better alternative, not a replacement, for my laptop
Hey man, should I go for the iPad Air or get the Mac Air M1..?! Into professional blogging and image editing plus a fair amount of internet usage. I do have a fully working windows laptop though. Do you think I can jot up my blog on the iPad using this pencil and share the same to my laptop for final edits. Or I would save more and grab the Mac M1.. ?
Always get the smallest storage and use external storage for iPads. Much cheaper and much more future proof. I’d hate to lose 256 gigs of valuable files if some tragedy strikes my iPad on top of it being nearly as expensive as an iPad Pro
iPad Air 4 is probably slightly better due to the hard tip of Apple Pencil which allows you to write faster. However, if the main purpose of the tablet is to take notes, Samsung offers better value for money.
The air is 60hz and the pen can only work so well with 60hz. The ipad air is 120hz and is much with the apple pen. The s7 used the same software and hardware as the note and works very well. No way the air is as good as the s7 with a pen.
@@teohontech7141 yeah that’s what I thought as well. I believe BestBuy USA will discount iPad Air by $100 during back Friday 2020. Thanks for the fantastic review. Suggestion: please also talk about the audio recording capabilities of the note taking apps next time. Specifically the ability to sync notes with audio . Thanks

@@Hanking-Yo-Schrader The problem is that there's hardly a price difference between the 11" Pro 128GB and Air 4 256GB. The 200 dollar difference is with the 64GB variant and IMO, that much storage is hardly adequate so a comparison between the Pro and Air is valid.
There is some issue with ipad pro 2nd gen 2020 while using apple pencil I would highly recommend not to buy one For more information just watch the video on my channel Apple support said that there should only be one primary source of contact with the ipad pro while using apple pencil that is the tip with the screen and if we rest our palm on the ipad the software will get confused and this will keep happening . And when I said that does ipad comes with palm rejection or not? Then they said I'm applying to much pressure on the screen with my plam while resting it while writing on ipad That the ipad is capable of rejecting really light pressure from our palm. Now the best course of action for thoes who are facing the same issue as me would be to get a refund from where we bought it or sell it on online
Hi Teoh, yesterday I received my iPad Air 4 together with the Apple Pencil 2, but I'm a little disappointed with the way it writes. First thing I noticed is that in Notes when I write it will often retract strokes every so slightly at the end of writing a word. So the last bit of stroke pulls back a bit after the pencil leaves the surface. Hope I'm making it clear. It also sometimes introduces bits of strokes I didn't plan to put there. It's difficult to put it into words, so I hope I'm making sense. Today I'm investigating further and another thing I notice is when I'm writing slowly or I'm just drawing a line slowly I see that it doesn't do it as smooth as you demonstrate it in this video at 2:14. My line stammers a bit while yours is much more smooth. Like it comes in bits of chunks, while your line is more flowing. I am aware that you're not using Notes, but it would be weird if the pencil wouldn't work as good in Notes as it would in other apps. By the way I'm not using a screen protector or anything like that. I'm using the iPad and pencil as it comes straight out of the box. Sorry for this long message, but I was hoping if you ran into a similar experience? Thanks!
The app you use can affect how smooth your lines are, or how accurately your handwriting can be captured. I suggest you try different note taking apps. Wacom Bamboo Paper is the most accurate in terms of capturing handwriting so try that first. You can also try Good Notes and NotesPlus. Or even Concepts app (a drawing app that can be used to take notes) If you still have the same problem, it could be a hardware problem with Apple Pencil.
@@teohyc Just to give you an update in case you're interested. I've installed OneNote and I have to say the experience is a lot better! But I don't understand why a third party app is better than Apple's native note taking app? (At least when it comes to the responsiveness of the pencil.) I also don't understand why I haven't heard anything about this. I've seen many videos on RU-vid on the different iPads, pencils, apps and what not. Too bad my first experience with this system was frustrating. I really thought I had made a mistake choosing iPad over the tab S7. I ultimately chose it because of Procreate, which I still have to buy and try. Hope the experience with that app will be great. Anyway thanks for listening. Had to speak to someone about this :-) Looking forward to your next video!
@@Unicode1900 Thanks for your advice. Actually I returned the iPad (although it's still on its way) because in Procreate it crashed two times. Even the second time it happened it was after rebooting the iPad and even reinstalling Procreate. To cut a long story short, have been mailing with Procreate's support team and they think it could be a hardware failure. And yeah, I'm a little bit afraid if I get a new iPad Air I will run into the same issue, so I am considering the iPad pro. As you mentioned, the 120Mhz display might be worth spending more money on. You will also get more storage and of course the M1 chip is always good to have. Never have to be afraid an app or a system update will slow the iPad down. So yeah, big chance I will go for the iPad pro. I have to say, if Procreate was available on Android I would have gone for a Samsung Tab S7 model. way cheaper and still really good and reliable. But yeah, Procreate and Apple have me under their spell 😅
You could even go for the normal iPad 2020. It's far cheaper and you could get a bigger storage option for less price. I use it for painting and it's excellent, so for taking notes I'd expect no less (non laminated display makes almost no difference tbh). Also, there are many more app options on iOS!
The pen tapping on screen its too annoying that one of many reasons made me hate ipad beside bend issues and screen when it fall it don't crack like othere sceeen it nearly to a explosion
That's not the problem since it doesn't prevent you from doing what you want it to do. The real "problem" is the refurbished 11-inch iPad Pro 2020 is priced not too far off from the base model iPad Air 4 so it makes no sense to buy this.
