I had my 64 GB, and noticed it was slow, and kept running out of space. I like to edit some photos on Lightroom, so I upgraded to the 256GB, and man was that a game changer. Great content Noah. 🤙🏼
Literally sold my m2 iPad Pro and got this. Zero regrets and I can’t believe how much I love this thing. iPad mini 7 requests: Higher refresh rate, higher brightness, and more storage. That’s it.
iPad Mini + Cellular is such a game changer. It’s like a having a portable workstation + leisure device all in one (It also puts less strain on my iPhone’s battery since I don’t need to do a hotspot all the time). Totally worth it!
@@hazyproduct1692 Because this is not a standard size iPad. Did you even watch the video? Do you not know the difference between an iPad mini and an iPhone?
@@OpasgegenLinks yea i watched it and have an ipad, but really what are you going to do that you can't on a phone??? drawing? too small. reading?? worse screen and not much bigger. gaming? maybe, but still slower than a phone. video editing? work? still goes to either a faster and smaller iPhone or a faster and bigger Mac.
Phone & tablet size has disproportionately risen lately when they were always originally intended to be small, the iPhone mini 13 & the iPad mini 6 are the perfect combination of fully functioning lightweight powerful products in a compact portable format, expensive yes but totally unique & niche. I always buy the cellular version of ipads, yes it increases the initial purchase price but the convenience of cellular especially when travelling is worth it, so easy to pop in a prepaid data sim or activating the esim for connectivity is a bonus I don’t understand why some people limit themselves to just wifi.
it’s the portability for me. I have the iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard and it’s great but HEAVY. the mini, as you said it best is a sidekick. I wish it had display zoom but still an iPad. you can hold in one hand is really neat
I love mine. I already have an iPad Pro 12.9 which I found too large to take out of the house. I never thought I would use it as intensively as I initially intended. Now I’m stuck deciding if I should hold out for the new model or upgrade it to the 256GB 😭
I’ve been using a 12.9” Pro for work since 2019. But when I’m at home, I also use it for consuming media and it’s quite unwieldy carrying it around the house. So a mini would probably be perfect. But I’m afraid I might miss ProMotion 😅
WOW What a Great timing! I was thinking about to get one. Although I know for sure the 7th will be released in 2024, Because the 6th stock is currently running out everywhere, many retailers have put it as discontinued. So I do agree, the discount now can be a really good purchase. I will get one, cuz I want to use it now for note taking. laptop won’t cut it for me…
Had the mini 6 then upgraded to the M1 Pro after two weeks. So glad I did, mini beautiful but too small. In my opinion the 11inch iPad is the perfect size.
The Mini is my favorite iPad too, but it's still not a real computer! I can only install software Apple approves of and can make money from. I still hope people don't consider iPads a replacement for an actual computer. God help us if that becomes normal
I was just searching about ipad mini and this vid dropped. Still on the fence if I get the mini 6 or wait for apple to drop mini 7. Anyone with same dilemma?
I believe it is there as the display itself is setup to use natively in horizontal mode. so in vertical It will have that jelly effect (same with my ultra wide monitor that I set it in vertical) But it’s really much less noticeable on high refresh rate display. I always wish for ProMotion on the mini line…
I love mine. If Apple created one for under $300, I think it'd be a massive, sleeper, cash cow for the Corporate bottom line, as a portable content consumption device... carried with the iPhone for the bigger screen.
I have a 2018 iPad Pro 12.9 inch still works great but wanna upgrade next year with the the new ones but can’t decide if i want the smaller pro or air but mini looks great too ugh hard to choose
Very good video. I enjoyed the most this ipad mini video. I get the everyday usage feeling in the video. My favorite is that you show usage in different orientations. I would heard more about battery life.
Sometimes it seems a little funny, maybe ironic that there're people who buy the iPhone either Plus, or Pro Max, but at the same time express their love for the iPad mini.
Good News is, when Apple launches the Mini 7, hopefully in the spring ‘24, the price of that Mini 6 will definitely drop! The lowest I’ve seen thus far was $379 ( 64g ) around last Black Friday. 😎👍
If Apple throw extended display support it will be a (even more) fantastic device. It’s a perfect sidekick or even a daily driver for many people how just want light browsing and light office stuff.
I had the iPad mini 6 but I found it too small, especially with multitasking, so I switched to the iPad Air M1. I'm curious about the updates expected next year.
Yeah tbh it’s just too expensive for what it is, it’s great for consumption but for that you might as well buy the basic iPad 9th gen for way less. I wanted it but ended up going for the M1 Pro refurbished for longevity and for cases where I also just wanna take it to do stuff and don’t wanna take my laptop. It’s a good size and when paired with the keyboard folio it’s awesome 🤗
Considering this as i have the iPad 9 gen and want something smaller, i always played with the idea of getting a kindle but it’s so many devices at this point i might as well just trade in my 9 gen and get a mini to use for my reading as well…right? 😂
Sounds like a plan. I have an old iPad (Gen 5 /2017) that I mainly just use at this point for watching sports and RU-vid videos /Streams. The 9.7" form factor is a bit small for multitasking, a bit big to easily hold and carry for note-taking, reading, etc. My 12.4" Samsung tablet is much better for multitasking /productivity and watching movies. If I don't wind up upgrading to a foldable phone, then I will consider getting an iPad mini for its light weight & portability.
@@sharkfintech5893 i am bummed it will be too small to use for multitasking but i also have a surface laptop that may get more use after switching to mini. U got a good plan foldable phone would be a really great option too!!
I’m thinking about asking for an iPad Air or mini for Christmas of 2024 even though Christmas was 2 weeks ago while righting this since right now I have an iPad Air 2 from 2014
I am no expert and did not actually try them, but i heard they wear out the pencils tip much faster and that it feels rougher but again i just gave you what i currently know 😊
I want one so bad but I want the pro motion screen and the face unlock with 256gb !!! I loved my last mini but just want my 11 pro shrunk to the mini please
I picked one up about this time last year. I went from a 12.9 inch iPad to the mini 6 and I am so glad I did. The size is perfect. Not so big where it’s too cumbersome to lay in bed and watch videos and or read. The mini 6 is perfect for what I use it for!
I use a 12.9 Pro daily but have had a Mini 5 for a good while. I have debated whether it's worth it to upgrade to a 6 for Pencil 2 primarily since I use the Pencil so much. The 5 still functions quite well--my main use for it now (I have a Pencil 1 but what a pain to use with Mini 5) is reading--I much prefer it to my Kindle and use it daily for that purpose primarily but with Pencil 2 would carry it more as a note taker (and all the other things I use my 12.9 for but more mobile). Seems kind of 'first world' to upgrade for that reason though LOL.
iPad mini is/was my very favorite. Never too big, never too small. It's just the right size for all of my uses. I got my iPad mini with Retina display (iPad mini 2) when the free Swift Language Guide was released but the iPhone 4s that I inherited from my wife was too small to read it well. I bought my iPad mini with the maximum storage, 256 GB, because I intended to use it as my media device, for all my ebooks and digital magazines. It was my perfect take-it-anywhere device. But then last year the home button broke so now I'm looking at the iPad mini 6 because it now seems like a necessary upgrade. I can't wait to see what they offer in the iPad mini 7.
I just got the iPad mini 6 (256GB, Wi-Fi) in Starlight - love it! 👍🏼 I love the small and compact form factor. And with the A15 chip it will still be powerful for a few more years.
I could live with just 2 mobile devices, that would be my iPhone and my iPad Mini 6. I love my 12.9 M1 but I don’t need it and could easily live without it. The Mini 6 would be tough to live without
Torn between Mini and 11”. The 11” is also pretty compact and portable. I use it as my travel computer, importing and editing photos from my Sony Alpha. Been a great little computer.
if it's essentially gonna be a primary device, I'd go larger. In my case, the ipad, always a mini, has always been a recreational/ secondary device. It's great for watching videos, some casual web browsing, and occasianally as a second monitor with my 14" macbook.. But were it to assume the role of my primary device and see hours of real use per day, which it would be totally capable of, I'd be wishing for a larger display. For me, ~12" (11 is close enough) is about my limit when it comes to a device that I'll genuinely be working on all the time... and once you get into that size territory, I feel like the macbook is the way to go. I just prefer having a desktop OS for multitasking and general file management.. Unless of course, you need the touchscreen.
All ipad tablets are worst tablets. They dont support call and whatsapp whereas all android tablets support call and whatsapp. I wonder why all ipad users praise ipads.
I had the iPad mini 6th gen that I just sold on iOS 15 5G 256gb for $400 and honestly my experience while traveling with it was terrible. When you put this thing to the test it gets extremely hot while running Apple Maps or searching the web! I went back to my iPad mini 5 4G 256gb and its still on iPadOS 13 and it’s wayyyy better than the mini 6. You get home button, headphone jack, better battery life and does not get extremely hot when you put it through everyday test. I do NOT recommend iPad mini 6 I would wait on the 7 or downgrade to mini 5
Love my mini 6. Got one maybe 6 months ago after years with a mini 4. For me, it's always been more of a recreational device. IE, I mostly use it for youtube and web browsing in bed. I also have a $20 amazon pencil that i'll use for basic sketches.. thats the closest thing to work thatI do with it, aside from occasionally using it as a second monitor.. usually just to keep a reference document visible. I don't ask much from it, and it handles it's fairly minimal tasks very well. For anything serious, it's my macbook pro all day! That said, Paired with a cheap pencil and speck folio case makes an excellent, super portable secondary device that is fully capable of anything that I might ask of it. IMO, the mini Ipads are the perfect size for a tablet, whatever the use may be.. or at least for my typical use cases. Any larger and I'll take the macbook instead. the desktop OS just handles multi-tasking and general file management far better than a glorified, oversize iphone.
