I'm going digital with an iPad Pro this year because carrying my books and binders is going to be too heavy for me since I have quite a lot of them lol, (also officially a first year biomedical engineering student)

Yes I’ll definitely let you know, the only tough part about getting in ( I’m from South Africa btw haha) there’s only one university that offers this but I’ve also chosen biological sciences as my loophole into veterinary sciences and somehow along the way I hope to eventually get there 😂🍀

Yay that’s so exciting! I have a couple videos talking about things I learned in my first year if you want to check them out! But honestly, my biggest tip is to make the most out of your vet school experience by doing what is going to be most beneficial for you and not just what you think you should do because everyone else is doing it!

This video was so pleasing, especially the unboxing! I am looking into getting an iPad for my first year of vet school for notes...do you think the basic 7th gen iPad would work fine for that? Since I invested into the MacBook Pro I would like to spend a little less on an iPad. But I see most people using the iPad pros! What do you think lol

I saw you just unboxed your Mac!! Let me know how you like it, I’m not sure how much longer mine will last me ahah. Honestly, as long as you can write on the ipad you have I’d say don’t spend the extra money!

Student Vet Amanda yes!! I am still learning the ropes a little bit, but so far I really love it.. and that’s kinda what I was thinking about the iPad!! The only thing I’d be missing is the screen quality and size but I’d say I can do without that..

Hi! As far as I know each school has a slightly different curriculum so it will probably vary from Canada to the US!

I think so! I don’t do a ton of typing in general but I like the keyboard enough that I could type on my ipad if I needed to!

Hi! I’m am doing a masters program and will be applying to vet schools this fall! I’m having trouble deciding whether to get a MacBook or iPad Pro for both my masters and vet school. I cannot have access to both devices, so which would you recommend? I keep both electronic and paper notes currently as I enjoy writing notes out, but rely heavily on electronic notes for organization and ease of access. Would just having an iPad Pro be okay? I know it only works for apps, so what if the professor gives a document I cannot download from the iPad?

Hi!! Best of luck on your fall applications! I would say that having just an iPad is doable, the only thing is that this year we had to take a bunch of our exams online due to covid and for that we needed a laptop. Other than that all my note taking was done on my iPad. I would just covert all my professors notes to PDF and then I could access them all on my iPad! You can also have Microsoft Powerpoint on your iPad if you chose to view your lectures slides that way! But I would double check to make sure you wont need to do any online testing 😊 hope that helps!

Hello ! Do you think I can use an iPad for my next school year (11th grade) in a canadian high school ? In France I can take my notes on my laptop (that all students of my high school received at the beginning of the year) only for a few class. So I'd like to know if teachers are more okay with the fact that student take their note on an iPad or on a touch sensitive laptop ? If it's better to just use papper I'll but I really prefer using digital notes. Thanks for your help !

When I was in highschool (which was 6 years ago so things could definitely be different now) everything was paper based. We actually weren't allowed to have laptops or tablets at school!
