Regarding those magnetic "magsafe" USB-C charging dongles - convenient as they are, they are also generally unsafe and may harm the device you're charging. I'd advise staying away from those.
Because of the magnets? Given the amount of magnets in the cases, folios, MagSafe batteries and other charges I all put int he same bag, these don't have a negative effect at all.
@@beardfm It's not about the magnets - it's about how such cables are inherently non-complaint with the USB-C spec because the spec itself does not lay out any standards for magnetic charging, as well as how such cables may potentially expose high voltage on the conductors There is a sticky post on r/usbchardware on why such cables could be potentially dangerous. In particular I'd highlight the comments made by u/laughingman11.
I also have the M4 iPad 11” and got the Statik 360 Pro magnetic USBC cables and these work great I bought one 3’ cord and five 6’ cords. These work with most any device.
@@beardfm I just got mine yesterday and love it. I returned my magic keyboard and apple folio case. This does both without switching case, provides protection, and cheaper. Only two issue is fingerprint magnet and the thunderbolt cut out size.
Hi Stephen, Thanks for the video. As always, you cost some money with your excellent recommendations. Question: I just purchased the 13" iPad Pro and am facing the problem that most magnetic stands, like the CharJen stand, are encountering with the magnet placement on the new iPad. Do you have any recommendations for iPad stands?
You're welcome! And there are not many options yet with updated magnets, but this seems to be the first and a few viewers are getting one: kuxiu.co/products/kuxiu-x33-pro-max-stand
I like your video! It’s very helpful. But do you have any recommendations of usb-c adapter to 3.5mm headphones jack for iPad Pro 12.9? I mean just a simple adapter not like 2 in 1 or multi function
Hey Stephen, new sub here. Thanks to you I just made a pretty good order from Waterfield, first time I’ve seen the brand. Liked your videos and actually looking into opening a RU-vid channel (none tech related lol). Would be great some guidance from you!
Hey Stephen I enjoyed the video and subscribed to your channel. 2 quick questions- do u miss the size of the 13” for Productivity? - also the SF bag - that looked like the “compact size” does it fit an letter size notebook? Thanks will catch up on some of your videos. Thanks
Appreciate that! I don’t miss the 13”, but I also have a 14” MacBook Pro I can use when needed. If this will act as mobile computer too, maybe go 13”. And yes, I have the compact size and the larger pocket (non iPad) should fit a letter size notebook without issue.
Hey Stephen - I tried the 13” IPAD and low and behold - returned and now happily using the 11” - It just seems to fit “better” - also actually starting trying an e-ink device (can’t beat the feel of writing_ - I think I am going to order the bag featured. Are you still using it? Still like it? - Not completely sure on the E-Ink but we will see. THANK You - Keep Up the great Videos - I catch them 😊
On the Waterfield bag, are the magnet strong enough to keep the bag close when it is picked up by the handle or when the bag happens to fall horizontally?
@@beardfm thanks for answering. Do you think the compact would fit a regular letter size folder as well? I need to carry that and an iPad pro 11" for work. I contacted Waterfield, but they weren't able to tell me. Thanks in advance!
Can you make a video addressing the issue that users have been having with Apple products these days The problem about having photos/videos that have been removed for months or years suddenly reappearing
That’s an iOS 17.5 bug which seems pretty bad. I don’t have much other information on that and I imagine a small update to remedy that bug will be released soon.
@@beardfm Thank god I don’t have that issue since my first Apple product iPhone I bought it in Jan that’s probably why that’s the reason But hopefully you haven’t had this issue
