Great vid Omar and if anyone from Milliamp sees this comment thanks for letting Omar shoot this vid! Very interesting and informative, I love taking electronics apart and putting them back together. FTW
@plektrum93 It is there 1. to allow the user to hold the iPad comfortably without engaging the touch screen, and 2. to give space for air to circulate, keeping it cool. :) hope this helps!
Wow good video. The good new is that there is a ton of space inside so there is room for new things. I take it some of that space is going to be filled with a 3G radio but I still think there is going to be room for a camera and other stuff in the second generation model.
wow awesome video!!! thats really cool. anthony is so cool, taking apart things looks like fun. but i dont have the guts to do it cuz id never be able to get it back together haha
If there wasn't a black frame around the edge of the screen, then you'd be putting your hand on the screen when you held it which would be pretty annoying.
@Frans000003 yes, and you think it all came together by magic, right? Did you see how small the logic board is, how big the battery is, how bright and vivid the display is, and how fluid the software works? Don't you realise that people have to research and test these things to be able to make them? Do you think this is all done for free? People complaining about the price just want to have one but are too close-fisted to admit it, I wouldn't be surprised at all if you are a digital pirate.
@plektrum93 A buffer for your fingers, I'm assuming. That way your hands don't get in the way of the screen or cause unwanted movement on the multitouch display.
when you zoom in it's blurry and i cant tell what i'm looking at. otherwise, pretty interesting. and i was hoping u'd put it back together and speed it up.
@naumankhawaja I would still prefer a slim "only-screen-looking" ipad. the technology/algebra for palmrejection is an eaysi instal. Everything bigger than a coin is not a tuch from a finger. The only good reason why the frame might be there is for the air cirkulation which is totaly accepteble but unnecessary. I have an Ipad my self and it is always very chilled no matter how hard I do run it.
hi can you help me to my ipad 64g my problem is i jail break my ipad then i accedentaly drain the battery. after that i charge it then when im trying to on just stock to apple logo? can you help me pls
@ferbrz for information, I removed the comment because I had a problem posting it, had to copy/paste and it did not work well. It was the same thing as above.
Such a simple design. If only some companies that design tablets would make their logic boards slightly bigger then they could put more components in. I WISH I JUST WISH there was some kind of tablet that can support desktop linux os i would defiantly buy that =D but other then that iPad is cool i just kinda don't like apple for making great mobile devices because i don't like their software but its cool =D
How is it that an iPad requires such a tiny motherboard (and large battery) and a laptop has such a big motherboard and a relatively equal sized battery???
That is true. But if Apple released a product like that they wouldnt make as much sales with their next product. They just make it thinner by 0.01 mm everytime. Thats how big ass companies make so much money.
why does apple make that fat uggly black design frame round the screen if its that much space left inside the ipad? seriously it would be much better/cool looking if it looked like it just be a screen.
i think apple made the first ipad like shit on purpose, many people bought it. then they will make the ipad 2g and that one will have usb plugs and all awesome things that havent been in the first one, and most of the people who bought the first one will buy the second one, too.
@Dylan54333 Really? And where did you get the statistics? Take your bad language somewhere away from me, please. Tell me one tech company that doesn't "suck" and show me concrete proof, and maybe you'll get your credibility back, otherwise you're just an angry little person who watches a video about a product made by a company that you don't like and comment on it because you are just an attention seeker that thinks it's funny to make rude comments... We aren't all children here.
