iPadOS 16.2 Full External Monitor Support - Why it’s not Supported on the 2020 iPad Pro!

Apple has recently released iPadOS 16.2 update to all the ipads including M1 ipad Pro, iPad Air 5 and the recently annonced M2 iPad Pro. IPadOs 16.2 has stage manager and full external monitor display support for the m1 iPad Pro, iPad Air 5 and the recently announced M2 iPad Pro. Older 2018 iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Pro wont be able to have Stage Manager with Full external Monitor Support with iPadOS 16.2 update. But there’s a big reason why external monitor support with iPadOS 16.2 isn’t supported on the 2018 iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Pro. Dear Apple Corporation, iPad pro models with M1 and M2 processors offer external display support. The A12Z processor, on the other hand, should be given 4K monitor support or QHD monitor or FULLHD external display support, not 6K monitor support. users are very victims, they are in favor of closing this deficiency, at least as I said, it seems that this feature should be offered to users, even in full HD.

As you know, M1 and M2 iPad models have an external display feature, but A12Z and Ipad pro do not have this feature. however, at launch, the A12Z processor was said to be faster than most computers. In short, I have a product with a warranty of more than 1 year, but I cannot use its new features. Apple has repeatedly piled up iPad models, and the generational power gap is huge. This difference should not affect us and the ipad pro should come with a model with A12Z processor or I will be more upset. External display support should come to the ipad pro 2nd generation product.

Yes i totally get the frustration but its actually apples decision to put such kinda usb C port on those pro models. Plus iPadOS scaling is actually a bit too heavier for some reasons as i have explained in the video. But its still sad

Yes this is because of the limitation of the usb c ports used on the older iPads. But the 2020 iPad is capable of doing it in 1080p in theory but apple won’t allow it

@@XTechByJoinTheAvid looks like you have lots of Apple share and you want to support Apple for this ludicrous decision to exclude 2020 ipad pro. if i keep all these tech jargons aside a windows laptop with USB C can support external display. and the whole thunderbolt tech spec explanation falls apart when you can find videos of USB to HDI used for external monitors with ipad pro. i agree these holds lower resolution and won’t be able to get 6K resolution. by giving that option to customers Apple would have supported users of 2020 ipad pro not loosing out a key feature launched under 2 years of a model release!

It could I guess .. at least upto 2k monitors but not on 4K or above monitors. So they tried to provide the same refresh rate at all resolutions

I totally get your point. But No it’s not happening because it’s not possible thanks to the usb C port used by apple in these iPads. That’s the thing I have explained here..

Then, a company that produces new products in such a short time should give a new version ipad as a gift to its users. You can't understand me. I bought this product thinking it would last a long time and get updates for a long time. and I didn't buy the base product either, I bought the 512gb cellular model. I'm a student and I said it would work for me for a long time, but we are looking at the app, a few months later, the device with M2. At least, if it is releasing a model that will make such a big difference in the future, Apple should have informed us and we would invest our money accordingly. I'm a student and I don't like my money to melt. Again, I am calling out to Apple from here, please offer external display support to products with A12Z processor.

My iPad Pro 2020 was still in warranty and I don't get the full screen support...that is bologna from Apple. I do have shiftscreen which gives me a full screen. I was told early on that it was coming to 2020 model from apple support

As said in the video it’s not possible technically. But apple should have used a better usb c port in the first place
