iPhone 11 Pro Max Smart Battery Case Review!

I’m a trucker so I’m always taking my phone on and off the charger. This case let’s me wake up with full phone and case charge and I still have plenty of battery when I bed down for the night. The camera button is perfect for me because I take A LOT of pictures and videos for my family to show them where I am at and what I see. The button (at least for me) is in the perfect place and feels natural for a camera. I think I’m done buying the new iPhone every year when one drops and I think I’ll still with my 11 pro max for a while.

When you are mility and you go on an excercice. Screen brightness 100% all day and you sleep outside a week you need battery!

I watched this video 4 months ago when I was considering this case and I ended up buying it back then. My last IPhone 8 had a battery case and I loved it. For the last 4 months I’ve been very happy with this case. I love how it has that high quality Apple product feeling. The camera button is nice and knowing it’s there I often use it. My only concern is I simply don’t use my phone enough to actually drain the battery. I think in the entire time I’ve had the IPhone 11 Pro Max I’ve maybe reached about 95% once? So it’s obvious I probably could have done without an extra battery but I do drain this case completely often. I read that the iPhone 11 Pro Max uses a new kind of battery that you don’t want to completely drain it or completely fill it. When you charge your phone it will actually sit at 80% for most of the night and then quick charge to 100% before you wake up so you’re good to go. My problem is my iPhone rarely drops below 100%!! What does this mean Apple? It’s not good to be above 80% and yet your battery case keeps the phone at 100% permanently? This seems like a major flaw to me.

I bought one of these after the Mophie case (which i liked initially) kept overheating every time i would charge it. I love Apple’s version!

You forgot to mention the people that would typically be using the most battery life… The delivery drivers for food or groceries. I don’t know if UPS or FedEx does their own thing or if drivers are required to use their phone but having a battery pack is almost essential for having that driving position. I originally had a life proof with a battery pack on an older iPhone I had and loved it. The case was very durable even if you accidentally dropped it as well as a very very long battery life. It was a little on the bulky side but I figured that was a trade off for being able to use my phone all day and being able to charge it in the case. I know that if you’re charging your phone for five minutes at a time and doing that 100 times in a day you’re going to kill your battery of your phone (charging from the car) battery pack was a great way to not need an auxiliary battery and still be able to charge my phone. I just got the Apple version. While I have not had really a chance to use it I am somewhat skeptical of the case and how much it’s really going to protect the phone if it accidentally drops But I’m hoping that battery wise what I am used to for life proof that Apple is similar.

Question: which is preferred the white or black? Does the white show the same dirt and stuff that the black in the video shows? You older smart battery case looks pretty clean for it's age.

I’m still using one on my iPhone Xs Max. Surprisingly even though it’s not necessarily needed it’s the main case I use on my iPhone.

I have a question, if you stick your iPhone in the case, it automatically charge your phone, so your phone wil always be 100%, isn’t that bad for the batterylife ?

Can you put a Popsocket on the back? Like will it stay on? Or will it just pop off (no pun intended)? I tried putting one straight on the back of my 11 Pro Max and it didn't even last 2 hours. Maybe I'm just stupid, but I didn't expect that to happen. I've had a silicone Apple Case like this for my X and it stayed on. So a popsocket should stick and stay on this too, right? Thanks

I see what you mean by the camera button on the side, a small part might be Apple trying to influence us to take better photos because it's a Pro model. Other than that love how I don't get stress watching your videos. Very to what matters in a review.

this smart case definitely designed not for everyone, but someone who really need long time of battery life, anyway good video, good product.

how is it recharged does it recharge the battery plus the case?

Will this work with the Xs Max? The original Xs Max smart case is impossible to find as most of them are defective.

My brother got the battery case for last year’s phone, and one thing he mentioned that I thought was cool was not having to ever plug his phone in to charge. He only charged his case, and snapped that on when the phone battery was low.

I bought the first one for my iPhone X and it kept disconnecting I had to juggle it to connect it back to my phone I want to get a new one for my iPhone pro max 11 but I don’t know I’m having trust issues right now , did someone had the same problem

Yeah, battery life is crazy without any charging case. I’m at 80% battery with 6 and a half hours off the charger. I haven’t been using it like CRAZY, but I’ve been using it like I would normally.

I go on all day mountain bike rides, so hopefully this battery pack will serve me well.

Does this case work for an IPhone XS Max? I know the phones have the same dimensions and physically the only difference is the camera bump on the back. Looks like it would work and just leave some of the back exposed on the XS Max where the extra camera on the 11 Pro Max would be.

I have the XsMax. Is this still a good case? I eont travel but i listen to audio books and music most of my day. Im tired of carrying around my belkin battery pack. It makes my bag heavy and takes up real estate in my bag.

I think the point of the button for the camera is when your phone is in your pocket. So when you go to grab your phone it’s easier to click it when the phone is upwards.

How do you turn off the case ?

In my opinion with the price of that, we will only get casing benefits, because the benefits of the Powerbank actually only replace the quality of the iPhone battery itself which is declining due to the long-term use of the smartcase. But I still buy this case myself, cool👍😊

I rarely use this case, I would only recommend this case if you go to theme parks a lot. I only use it when I go to theme parks because you need the brightness at 100% all day and there’s no place to charge the phone unless you pay.
