I have an old iPhone 6 that I have to always keep on the charger because my battery life is so bad. The battery has also lifted the display a little. If I hold it and look at it from the side, I can see the backlight shining through the gap between the sides and the display.

@Muhammad Umar It's exactly what that person just said. Their job is to test them to see how strong the durability is. They're not testing them to be selfish. These phone's are made to be a bit stronger. He's simply showing how much damage each height can cause. To see how high it would take to actually break. At first I didn't understand why there was a reason to do this, but it honestly seems pretty helpful.
