@@daienaa Maybe on paper it is, but on the daily basis, most flagship with LED panel last me more than 7 hrs of SOT. Since Im not a gamer myself and only use my phone for youtube and social media, Im willing to sacrifice the battery for LED panel.
I like the thing that Rene constantly tells.. hold on for as long as possible. Buy the best you can afford when you absolutely have to. And then enjoy the hell out of it.
I bought my current 6s+ 128gb used probably around 2016-, it's been great. Looking at getting the 12 pro max in 128 once it comes out, what do you think?
@@nahventure3873 you will love it 😄😊. I’d recommend buying as much storage as you can 😄. 128gb ran out for me in 1.5 years... so I longed to get more storage. I bought a second hand iPhone 7, 32gb, had it for 2 years. Then I bought a new XR 128gb, had it for 2 years. Now I just bought an 11 pro max 256gb. For a great deal. I bought it for the same price as regular 12, 64gb.
@@maxroman2010 how is the jump from the 7 to the 11pro? I've had the current iphone for years (128gb) and I tend to throw all my pictures and what not onto my PC and forget about them haha, storage hasn't been an issue, unless we're talking the 16gb iphones, those I wasn't able to do.

Well, buy the best for you. I could afford a 12 pro max, which is objectively the best. But I bought a 12 mini because I like the flagship specs in the small form factor.

I still have original SE as my main and only phone lol And it runs all tasks as good as it did when new and on latest IOS, And still in tact structurally and cosmetically.. I have an 8 Plus now and am having a hard time deciding whether to get the 11 or the 12..mainly because of the display. Does the LCD of the 11 look better than the 8 Plus?
When money matters the iPhone 11 is quite good, but if you can afford the iPhone 12, it is faster, more robust with better materials, the upcoming 5G and a better screen if the flickering is not bothersome. I already went to the iPhone 12 and I am very pleased.
About time a RU-vidr was honest about phones , there’s zero need to buy a new iPhone every year , most tech you tubers really overstate new features , the next one will be 120hz , it looks smoother so is a nice thing to have , but that’s about it , most content is 24, 30 or 60 FPS so a 120 he display is pointless for most people. The best upgrade an iPhone user can make is going to the apple store and replacing the battery in there phone.

I’m upgrading from 6s plus and going with the 12 pro max. Not much difference in price with the 11 pro max at least not yet. Didn’t upgrade for some reason last year but this year I am ready so I’m going for the 12.
I got mine 3 weeks ago and it's my BEST CHOICE and DECISION. I was actually rooting for iPhone 12 after it was launched, but for an average person like me who doesn't notice display, the square design and a new bionic chip, iPhone 11 is my most preferred. It fits my budget that gives me that iOS/Apple user feels. It has an excellent battery. Bezels doesn't matter if you use it on daily basis. I have done extensive research and reviews on iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, but iPhone 11 won my pocket and heart. And if ever I upgrade on next years iPhone, I have options to upgrade or not. We don't have 5G in my country. I need earphones and charging brick. The best iPhone in the year 2019-2021 is still the iPhone 11 for average users.
I got the 11 for my birthday last week. The 12 just ain’t it for me because 1. More expensive 2. OLED flickering will further damage my already damaged eyes 3. No adapter/earphones And so far, I’m loving it! 🥰 (since I upgraded from the iPhone 6 😬)
My beautiful iPhone 8 broke a few days ago and I decided to buy a brand new iPhone 11 and paid it in full. I was kind of regretting that purchase but I am so in love with my 11 and I realized I didn’t wanna spend an extra $200 when the 11 is so perfect lol
@@kimberlymoreno4259 I had a cheaper android before I got my iPhone 8. I paid $150 for it, it was an LG something. I really liked my 8. The camera was a big improvement.
I bought the iPhone 11 exactly two weeks ago. Today was the last day to return it and get the 12. I finally settled it that I made the best choice sticking with the 11... then found your video. Switched from Android to Apple for the Iphone 11 and I love it despite people saying the low resolution and LCD screen are lame comparing to Android phones. You can’t actually notice it with the naked eye. I’m happy with it.

Another argument, the 11 is sold for 689 euros on the french website of Apple, whereas 905 euros for the iPhone 12. Bump them to 128gb and you get 739 vs 959 euros (final price, tax included). So that's 200 euros difference (even more in dollars). Not gonna hesitate picking the iPhone 11, also it feels more comfy to hold in the hand
Thank you SOOOO much for mentioning PWM Greg! I am one of the 10 percent that OLED screens cause migraines and headaches. I will NOT be purchasing a phone with an OLED display until they manage to stop using PWM.
Yes LED lightbulbs can be a trigger as are a lot of TV’s these days. I stick with Sony TV’s that don’t use PWM and buy laptops that don’t use PWM after looking at the rtings reviews. There is actually a company online that makes a type of LED bulb that doesn’t flicker. It has a built in direct current type of ballast I guess. (Not sure about the specifics honestly.) I don’t have any issues with those. The school I work at uses all LED lighting but those lights also use direct current and don’t bother me. Apparently many schools do this so that the LED lighting won’t flicker as it can bother students and studies have also shown it can cause kids with ADHD to have more symptoms.
I’m not the kind of guy that changes phone every year......I upgraded from my iPhone 6s Plus to iPhone 11.....buuuut I honestly wanna trade it my iPhone 11 for the 12pro pacific blue. That blue color is beautiful and the new design 😍😍
I'm an android user but I did try the 12 for a few days when it came out. And while I did enjoy the slightly better camera, there isn't enough there to justify paying that price increase over the 11. My wife has the 11 so I was able to compare them side by side. Very minor differences and we both didn't care for the squared off edges. I will say the deeper blacks were noticeable in side by side video, but that's minor. If I had to choose, I'd go with the 11, save that extra money or spend it on the airpods or something useful.
I sold my 11 and got a 12 and to be honest I already miss the 11. I actually prefer the feel of the rounded edges to hold and the true tone setting on the 12 is way too yellow for my eyes. It was not worth it.
Yeah I was thinking about that too. Tbh when I got the 11 for the first time before I got used to it it felt kinda yellow for me,but now reviewers saying the 12 has even more True Tone and say the 11 is not yellow enough,I was like no ty lol. Ofc True Tone can be turned off ,but I think every year upgrade is a waste.
Still on my 6s and still receiving updates. One of the biggest reasons I'm an iPhone user is because of their unmatched support. Yes, you pay a premium with Apple, but you get guarantee support for up to 5 years and that support clock doesn't start until they last officially sell the phone. The iPhone 11 will be supported until at least 2026 if they follow history and remove it this fall when the next iPhone is launched. You can't beat that value. As far as 11 vs 12 goes, I don't think it's ever worth upgrading from year to year. If you really want to see leaps it makes more sense to keep your phone for multiple years. We've gotten to a point in the phone landscape where most of use don't need more power. Most of us probably don't use the power we have.
I think the 12 is worth paying the extra money for, but of course it depends on your situation. I am absolutely loving my iPhone 12! The new flat sides make it so much easier to hold, it’s lighter, thinner & a little smaller than my XR (work phone) & there’s a big difference in the display. I traded in an 11 Pro Max for this one & couldn’t be happier.
I went to the apple store, had the iPhone 12 on my left hand, the 11 on my right, after a few minutes I decided to go with the 11. The extra money for me just wasn't worth it. I upgraded from a regular iPhone 7 so anything would have been a great upgrade, but I liked the 11 better than the 12
@@raulhernandez2379 brother if you can, go for it. I used my phone for work stuff too and needed to upgrade from the 7 pretty bad. I am super happy with the quality and performance of the 11, again, I just didnt like the 12 that much to spend the extra money.
Me watching this on an 11 having bought it two weeks before the 12 dropped 😂 it’s been an awesome phone! The photos are just beautiful and the battery life is great. I love Apple tech but all the points in this video are some of the reasons I chose not to wait for the 12. No regrets

You sold me on the 11 even tho I am getting back into photography and was going to upgrade to the 12 or 12 Pro. It's just not convenient to carry around a big digital camera everywhere but $1000 was hard to swallow!
Just got the iPhone 11. I have always been an Android person. But there was the iPhone 11 half price when I went to upgrade from Samsung galaxy S8. I went in saying no iPhone and left there with an iPhone! And I freaking love it!!

Yes one thing some people aren’t considering is Covid like people aren’t as financially stable right now just saying it’s worth mentioning this year is quite different with the iPhones due to Covid and I would expect the 12 possibly not to sell as well due to it but who knows really.

For me I just got the iPhone 12 pro max blue color 128 storage for $1099. and I can get the iPhone 12 pro Max in 1 to 2 weeks for me. I’m happy to get the OLED display. iPhone 12 pro Max for me this year.
I didn't see that possibility coming, and I didn't know that you could get head makes from OLED. Mostly I use the phone to read. So thanks for this info, as the 11 would be a viable alternative. I don't even want 5G, even if we had it here.
I actually dont upgrade from my purple 11 because none of the colours this year is that great! Last year’s purple and green and even their product red were so much better🥰

I have the iPhone 7 and right now I am upgrading and I was considering buying the iPhone 12 but after doing research and watching some videos I have some doubts about it with the flickering and 5G issue. I bought a green iPhone 11 yesterday And I’m loving it. I’m a hardcore android fan and this is my first iPhone. Coming from a Oneplus 5t with a 1080p AMOLED screen , the display was one of my major concerns but now that I have this phone in my hand I do not mind it at all.
You have made perfect sense. Holding on to the 11 for a few years. Most people don’t even use all the things that come on the phones anyway. And they all do the same thing.
Can you assure me with the 11 that the battery will hold up like my Samsung s8 still great almost 4 years. I read different comments on battery life dropping quickly and that is a downer. If that's not true let me know please.
If you plan to get the 11 head to the store instead of buying it online and pick it up at the store or mailing it to you. Why? Because buying it at the store you still get the ones with a charger and headphones. As for the 12 not a good idea to get right now. Apple sucks at first generation tech and the 12 is full of them. Namely 5G and MagSafe. 5G is gimmick marketing since this is not fully developed and will take about three years minimum probably to fully see its potential. By that time probably have much better 5G tech. As for MagSafe there are going to be issues. Already there are problems that if you use that magnetic wallet it may erase your credit card as this will wipe out the strip.

@@Light00121 The "5G" right now is not 5G. It is a marketing gimmick. 5G is supposed to be many times over 4G at its full potential. Some say could reach 100X of 4G. Right now the "5G" you are seeing is 30% to 40% faster. Doh! Also the batteries now can't handle 5G as they are drained very quickly. I would give it a few more years before buying anything 5G. By then we are going to get much better hardware all around.
Yes that crazy true when i was using iphone 11 i was not suffering from headache but now i buy iphone 12 before 2 week and m greeting headache when i use my phone on low brightness
Totally, I just switched from 7 plus to 11 after 4.5 years, I could not believe I could transfer everything (even wifi password and hotspot password)to my new phone by putting them next to each other.I am never the earliest adapter for phones and honestly I still love my 7 plus. For basic stuff I can’t even tell the difference in speed. I spent 650 pre tax on 11 (128) and if the comparable 12 would be around 300 dollars more after tax. Not worth it for my needs. Very happy with my 11 so far and I am still having seconds thoughts whether to trade in my 7 plus for up to 140. It’s a very reliable phone I may just keep at home in case someone needs it as a back up.

I would personally choose the iPhone 11. The design is much better, it’s $200 cheaper, and they barely changed anything at all. It’s basically the same phone, but with, in my opinion, a much better design, and it’s much cheaper. Definitely choose the iPhone 11! 😊
My main reason for buying the 11 instead of the 12 is the increased locks Apple built into the 12, it's nearly impossible to get the 12 repaired properly by a third party especially if you need to repair your camera, etc. So you're basically stuck with getting it repaired by Apple, which will likely be 2x to 4x more expensive than a third party could have been.
My iPhone wasn't working properly after 3 weeks of purchasing it. Apple support made me reset it's iOS it was not a great first impression as a new apple user. It's working fine now and I hope it continues to work like.
I'm upgrading from a cheap, 3 year old Android phone to the iPhone 11. It suits my budget and has everything I want. I'm picking it up in the next few days...a green one like the one in your video. I'm pretty excited and can't wait !
I’m 100% happy with my iPhone 12. The battery is considerably longer battery life than the 11 (which my sister has) and my battery last longer than hers. I love the square edge design and how much lighter and thinner my phone is compared to the 11. For me it’s a clear overall win for the iPhone 12. Plus the camera is way better. I notice some differences between my phone (the iPhone 12) and my sisters (the iPhone 11) it’s still a clear win for the iPhone 12. I would go with the 12 if you can afford it. When I went to go purchase my iPhone 12 T-Mobile told me a lot of retail stores are discontinuing the iPhone 11 ALREADY! So that was the biggest decision factor of my choice making. The iPhone 12 is the newer model compared to the iPhone X , iPhone XR or iPhone 11. 🎉iPhone 12 for the win!!! 🎉
My bf got me an iPhone 11 for Christmas (White, 128GB)! I love it, I was debating which phone to get when he asked me what phone I wanted, but then I looked at pros + cons, and chose the 11.
just letting y'all know there are people who still own the iphone6 and older which was released in 2014 and it works fine except that they stopped the updates and my apps started crashing while using the camera like instagram so i need to upgrade finally so if you purchase the 11 you can spend the other 200 on airpods or get some food :)) and it won't fail you for another 4-5 years or if you're rich enough to be able to change phones often go for 12 or if you like it more go for it
Great review. Really juggling between the 12pro and 11normal. Going to make that decision today and videos like this really give the “unpopular” option a fighting chance.
