I think 11 owners shouldn't upgrading to the 12 unless some of the new features really matter or their battery is broken. XR users may want to consider upgrading, and I think anyone owning an iPhone 8 or older should probably upgrade, especially if the battery is starting to have issues.
For real i have an Iphone SE 1 since it was released and could keep it an other year even more, it is unkillable, it’s not the phone’s age that should make it change it but more about what you want, I Will change it for a new one (probably a 12 or remaining 11pro) but it is just for my luxury that i want it i could rock a SE 2 and be just fine for 4-5 years tbh
As in case any tech, it is not 90s and there's no breakthrough each generation. Basically, skipping at least TWO generation for every tech is minimum rational approach.
You should do a comparison between iPhone SE, XR, 11, and 12 in practical daily use. Just because iPhone 12 is the shiny new tech, doesn’t mean it’s the best value for money/go-to choice. Many people are on tight budgets
Cuz Apple said it, Apple hasn't had a truly new design in years, they have given up on their loyal customers. They know they have millions and millions of people locked into their ecosystem and are gonna take advantage of that fact till the end .
Cuz it’s not. Yes, it has flat edges, just like the 4, but it also has the all screen design and glass back. It’s a fusion, I guess you could say, of the 4/4s and 11/11 Pro. This creates an all new design.
The second-hand/previous-generation iPhone market is going to explode, my eyes are on putting my cracked 6S out of her misery in favour of an Xr or even an 11
@@poundlandspeedwagonrequiem If your budget is that low just buy an Android. The lower budget Androids can probably give you a better all around experience than the lower budget iPhones. Me personally, I'm upgrading to the iPhone 12 from a Note 8 that I got for 200 dollars. Try getting the Note 9, it's around 200 dollars now and it's a great phone, can probably give you the same experience as an XS Max.
How is holding it? I have the 7 in rose gold and was battling between pro and pro max (for the camera). But I don't know how bigger the pro is to handle compared to the 7, like, is it even worth considering the pro if I, literally, can not handle it?? 😂😂😂 Please I would love your feedback
@@MarissaCooperButPoor it feels better to me honestly like I’ve always preferred the flat sides since the 5. If u want the best camera then definitely go for the pro max. I got the regular pro bc the pro max would be too big for my hand
@@MarissaCooperButPoor wait for for 12 pro max, 12 pro literally has no difference from 12 other than a depth sensor and telephoto lens which honestly dosen't really make it worth the upgrade. If you want a bigger battery + good camera go for 12 pro max. Otherwise 12 would be sufficient. 12 pro is just stupid.
@@abhishektomar2082 I know, I just like the pro for its size and color choices but for a 100 dollars difference I feel like the pro would be the better choice because of the camera features and battery life. I am moving from the iPhone 7, so good lord I have no idea how it will feel in my hands. Now the choice is between 12 white vs 12 pro max gold.
The iPhone 12 has a worse battery life than the iPhone 11 because the iPhone 11 has a bigger battery pack. Also I don’t think the camera has much improved on the iPhone 12 except the night mode. Last but not least, you get a charger and new headphones with the iPhone 11, while with the iPhone 12 you need to buy everything.
iphone 12 actually did better because of 5nm chip and in dark mode pixels turn off on iPhone 12 screen while on IPS on 11 they don't and overall 12 has a little better battery life
@@GamingZone1234 the first one I don’t say anything about that, BUT the iPhone 11 has DEFINITELY a better battery life in comparison. The battery pack of the iPhone 11 is bigger (like I mentioned) + the new Software and resolution on the iPhone 12 eats more battery.
I think apple has stopped including the charging brick and headphones in the iPhone 11s as well. Plus the iPhone 12 is smaller and lighter than the 11. I have both and it’s definitely noticeable. Also, the screen quality is worth similar if not slightly worse battery life.
@@KapitalElement I'm abt to buy an iPhone but Im unable to choose between 11 or 12. I want the one with the best camera. Does the 12 have much significant difference to the 11?
@@neroknight1234 honestly not really. But I didn’t go out and take a ton of photographer level photos and compare them. I know a ton of reviewers who are better at this stuff say low light and video are a little better on the 12 but regular photos in good lighting are about the same.
I agree both iPhone 11 and 12 look ALIKE they basically tweaked certain things such as speed, pixels and body density ( You can drop it and supposedly it won’t break) This video is for HARDCORE iPhone fanatics... I love the iPhone and had one since iPhone 6 ( I currently have a iPhone 11) but to me what they desperately need to do is redo the entire body design, change the game do something different...
I prefer the design on the 12 plus it’s slightly smaller and lighter, plus oled and better screen quality, and although 5g won’t be useful right now it will in the future. (I’m thinking of trading in my 11 for £400 to get the 12) plus the trade in value will decrease if I don’t do it too soon. Is this a wise decision
@@kpopster iPhone 11 is $200 cheaper than the iPhone 12, but if you are upgrading from like an iPhone 6s plus then you should get the iPhone 12, but if you are just upgrading from the XR, then I think iPhone 11 is a good choice
I bought the 12 and I’m very satisfied it’s an excellent phone. The battery life is superior! And also the speakers are a huge improvement from the 7 which is what I had before. The OLED display is a game changer highly recommended!
Detailed and informative video as always. And there’s a design change too on the front.. the curvature around the notch on 12 series is more than previous generations.. which is aesthetically more pleasing
I still use a 6 plus and it was completely fine for me until recently. There’s a few problems now which is why I’m watching comparison videos to decide what phone to buy but I don’t understand the people who feel the need to buy a new phone every year.
Mine too, but have you noticed the camera slowing down at? I don't feel like it's as responsive since the last update. My teens just have the 8 and they are struggling.
Not only Oled but higher resolution, everyone that’s saying it’s not worth the upgrade or whatever are just users who don’t have money enough or don’t wanna spent more money on something that they don’t need right now, cuz reality is, it’s a big improvement.
Thank you for this! Everyone else is comparing the iPhone 11 to the 12Pro and it doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve been waiting for a proper comparison! Thanks again!
Interesting! Tired of looking at small screen in order to read something or watch. I used to like small screen a lot tho, however these days I want my phone to perform many roles
@@merveyilmaz847 Yeah it all comes to personal preference. I’m fine with reading, and really don’t care to watch movies/RU-vid on my phone. I have an iPad or computer for that. I just don’t like the reaching factor, and the feel of a big phone in my pocket every time I sit down or walk. I miss the feeling of the 5s in my pocket. Again all personal preference and what you use your phone for
@@fearless5116 If you’re not consuming media on it for the majority of the day you will be fine. I have it on standby for pretty much most of the day when I’m at work, so there’s pretty much no issue there. Again it’s all personal preference and how you use it
I went from XR to 6s Plus now to 12. Definitely a big improvement for anyone not using 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max. OLED screen, 5G, and the new design really marks the 12s a while different generation. Worth the upgrade in every way.
Left Apple for Samsung a few years ago and am happy I did. Apple isn't innovating anymore and charging their loyal customers more and not only giving less but even taking from them. No charger and no headphones. Shame on you Apple!
I have an iPhone 11 256gb version and its absolutely amazing , super fast , good battery life and amazing cameras , and the screen is not OLED but still a good display and btw in my iPhone 11 , 4k is available in RU-vid videos , and 4G LTE where I live is around 60-120+mbps which is great and not needing 5G so yea...
id get the 11. the only real difference is the display... and if ur like me and nave been using lcd’s forever its not much of a difference. the 11 is also gonna have a better battery life btw. annndd its 200$ cheaper
also, the iphone 11 is 200$ cheaper, it’s basically the same thing, just the 5g is the only difference because my friend got the 12, and the comparisons of the camera are kind the same but her camera is sharper
I get that the iPhone 12 is better if you compare it to the iPhone 11 (it's suppose to be)..but if you ask me, the iPhone 11 is a way better deal to get. I get that the iPhone 12 screen is better, but the iPhone 11 screen isn't anything to write off either..it's a great screen. The iPhone 11 is amazingly priced and is almost as good as the iPhone 12. In my opinion, the iPhone 12 isn't worth that $200+ difference. Great video!
I’ve had a 7 plus for about three years now and while it’s been great, it’s starting to show it’s age and it’s giving me some problems. Gonna upgrade to a 12 soon
@@kyndalcrossing4482 I honestly considered the 11 but since I’m trading this phone in, $100 isn’t much more the the upgrades that the 12 has over the 11
Same here, I have a 4 year old iPhone 7 Plus and its starting to fail, it’s slow and sometimes freezes. I’m not sure if I should get the 11 and save the $200, or go 12. I really don’t care about 5G. I do like the higher resolution screen, but the 11 screen isn’t bad at any means. And it seems the camera on the 12 is slightly better, but not sure if is a $200 price difference
iPhone 12 is better obviously. But you gotta be crazy to upgrade from an 11. Nothing wrong with the phone, still miles better than any Android phone in performance. Hold on to it until it's starting to show its age then upgrade to iPhone 13 or 14 which will have a much better, more efficient 5G chip that supports 5G aggregation, better battery, probably USB-C or 120 Hz. All the difference I see here is software optimization and if Apple wasn't assholes they could easily port those features back to the 11 and it would do almost just as good as the 12.
If you’re on a tight budget, get the 11. I have the iPhone 8 and the only reason why I am upgrading is because of my iPhone 8 battery. It only last 2 hours if I am watching RU-vid or on social media. Current battery health is at 77%. You can check by going to settings, click on battery, click on battery health.
To everyone considering buying a 11 pro on sale: NO, DON'T do it. I've not seen a SINGLE 11 pro on sale brand new unlocked for less than even the SIM-free 12. And the 12 has 5G, a faster processor, better cameras (except the lack of a telephoto), better water resistance, larger display, and the new design. Unless you absolutely want the telephoto lens and absolutely can't spend the extra cash on the 12 pro to get it and some extra features, DON'T buy the 11 pro on sale.
Correct $399 brand new on rollback still in stock with most of the iPhone colors on Walmarts website. But the XR has to be activated on "Straight Talk" Pre Paid Mobile plan 😕
I loathe oled screens, which is one reason why I have been buying iPhones. The oled screens look stunning at first, but the pixels fade over time. Plus they usually get screen burn in. When I had a Samsung flagship, I had to constantly switch icons and wallpapers around to help prevent images from being burned into the screen, but it still happened. No one should have to be worrying about stuff like that considering how expensive these phones are. I am team LCD all the way, but everyone is moving to the faulty oled screens. I’ll be keeping my 11 until it breaks.
Hearing these issues, I think you are going to be very happy with mini-led displays, which are basically lcds with oled contrast and coming out next year:)
What ive learned: If you already have an 11, dont upgrade yet. If you have something like an x, or a cracked phone, or just due for an upgrade, then get the 12. I had the galaxy note 8 for a year, cracked it BADLY, and I just picked up my new 12 yesterday 😃
Totally random but on apple’s website, I’ve noticed that it said that the iPhone XR has Dolby atmos speakers when compared to other iPhones. It never had spatial audio before the iPhone 12 came out. Interesting.....
I am really waiting for 120Hz to come to iPhones. BTW video is amazing!!! Waiting for your gaming comparisons between Air & Pro!(cause your iPad videos are unbeatable)
That’s so cheap ... I’m from South Africa ... the Iphone 12 is R15000 according to USA price... IPhone 11 (64G) is R15000 right now at our stores .... the 12 will probably be around R25000+ / $1600+
URGENT: The Anker charging brick that you are recommending doesn't charge the iPhone 12 at 15W using MagSafe as per the review by another RU-vidr name Mark's Tech. Link to the video below - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UGU1PaMGkFY.html
If MagSafe done data as well as power I’d be all over it for my CarPlay. That’s why I am not looking forward to this ‘port less’ phone Apple seem to be pushing towards.
@@AidenRZ777 Someone said probably to have a better seal and you can finally bring your phone in salt water. Apparently, Apple has been trying to patent it.
I would upgrade from my 11 just for the new design and oled screen but they did us dirty with the price increase and 64gb base model. It is 959€/1137$ here in Spain for the 128 gb one and we're in the middle of a pandemic so ... guess I'll wait for iPhone 13.
I have a Huawei honor 10 lite bought it in 2018 and am planning to buy the iphone 15 or 15 pro when comes out until then I will use the Huawei honor 10 lite
I got this notification 9 minutes ago, but I just saw the video. I love your videos so much you’re my favorite RU-vid channel and I love all your comparisons
As per what you showed and what I have seen in real, the lcd screen on i11 is superbbbbb...the colours r super n it’s crisp n the oiled is at max only 10-15% better in terms of contrast which 90% of people won’t notice unless until they compare both of them side by side.... i12is a minor upgrade and at 599 i11 is a better deal
Good day sir I hope you’re doing well and May your day be filled with joy and happiness and keep smiling always lots of love and respect from India 🇮🇳 I appreciate your dedication and hard work which you put in every video keep it up 👍🏻😘❤️❤️
Dang! What’s wrong with your US cell data rates?! I get consistently 100-150MB down, 18-20MB up on my iPhone 11 here in Vancouver, Canada on 4G LTE. And the same on my work’s 3 year old iPhone 8. It has nothing to do with the phone, and everything to do with your carriers. You guys are getting shafted! And this is on a budget cell carrier here in Canada.
