Real good comparison with the results I was expecting. Phone cameras are real good but not the greatest. I'd be interested in your opinions on phones with a lot of the manual setting and the ability to save raw photos. Im able to get some decent long exposers and clarity on my LG V30 but havent played around enough to know its full potential.
The two of you have such great chemistry, really entertaining and heart-warming to watch! I‘m considering buying a Sony Alpha 7 S III for my RU-vid channel, have been filming with my three year old iPhone (8 plus) thus far. Wondering though whether the Sony would be overkill. What would you recommend for a RU-vid hobbyist?
Really appreciate that! The ASIII is a beast of a camera and would be a great RU-vid camera, but might but a bit overkill if you’re only doing it as a hobby. The Sony a6400 might be a bit less intimidating and much cheaper if you’re just doing RU-vid as a hobby! Though I’d love to get my hands on the A7SIII.
I guessed all correctly. I have the IPhone 12 and it over saturates skin tones. What I have done is set the exposure to -0.7. This seems to reduced the rosy looking skin tones.
Is it impossible to get the results like the DSLR with the portrait mode on a phone? I got the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but a person or my dog often looks cut out and not so natural…
Yeah that’s the down side of portrait mode, it can create some weird blurring around the edges. It’s all digital manipulation where as the blurred look of a dslr comes from the size of the aperture of the lens.
