In this video we find out if the iPhone 12 mini is a better option than a professional DSLR Camera. Will the iPhone 12 replace me as a photographer?!
Honestly the results are shocking and this is the hardest i have ever worked for a video. Let me know your thoughts about this battle in the comments. Y'all agree?

That was a brilliant unbiased review, telling it like it is. I personally love old school photography using a DSLR and as much as I want to resist, I cannot help but give the iPhone mini’s camera full marks.

i love the iphone shots but iphones do something with the face, make it softer or something, that makes it look like an instagram shot to me and the dslr camera doesn't do that

Really fun and interesting comparison! I’m surprised that your iPhone 12 mini stacks up so well against your bulky DSLR! Have you compared it to the Samsung S21? I wonder how that will stack up against the iPhone 12 and the DSLR. Thanks got the fun video!

You should've disable the Capture Outside the Frame and Live Photos to trigger DeepFusion. For sure it'll provide more quality on the iPhone.

I’ve just got the iPhone 12 mini. Yes the camera is excellent. Even compared to my Sony mirrorless. The added bonus is easy great editing on the spot without having to transfer to lightroom. Also it’s so lightweight and mobile. Sold 👍

Super helpful video! I need to ask though, how was the battery performance when shooting + recording with the Mini? Did you have to keep charging it while on shoot; did the battery deplete super quickly, did it get hot..? I love the form factor of the Mini and now I can see it packs a whole lot of power for photography/videos. The one point I'm on the fence about is the juice.

well put. I had to shoot a short commercial for class and was frustrated with my 2015 SE in low light, so started looking at cameras. A 12 Mini is 700 USD and a good 4/3 kit with 2 lenses is the same. But only one of those I'll be using daily. Edit: I ended up using the SE and a pixel 3a, with daylight.

The reason on the backlit photo why you could barely see any detailing it is because you were on the Ultra Wide! The Ultra Wide zoom goes from 0.5x-0.9x! If you would’ve just put it on one X you would’ve gotten a ton more detail from the main camera!

Hmmm i dondt Unserstand this Review... I have a alpha 6400 (cheaper then 6d mark ii) and i creat much better photos then every i phon. Did you show the pictures in raw or jpg.? Wich Program do you use for edditing? And i dondt Unserstand that shadow argument... Sometimes you have shadows sometimes not and sometimes you have to use a flash light, a soft box or something else. The Bouquet problem... f 9? Put it on f. 1.4, 70mm a couple steps away from the Modell and you have blur as hell. Nobody buy a 1300€ camera with an 800€ objektiv makes Pictures in RAW and dondt buy an edditing program. That is weird... :D 4k video alpha 6400. 800€ Maybe i realy dondt understand this Review and my english is not pretty well. in this case i am realy sorry for my comment. Peace

The iPhone does look good but ONLY in Good light where with a camera you can bet different lenses for more versatility

@@baileyconway6890 year I have an old Panasonic GH1, was the First system Camera MFT in the world, think Must be Round about 12 years old and does only shot in 1080p but you don’t see it even on a Big Screen. I made some nice videos with that in the past. So I know it’s not all about 4K an megapixels BUT the 4K 60 fps that comes out of an iPhone is realy amazing for a small camera system. With some skills you can produce really good videos on it. If you start using extra lenses and video editing it could be so good that lots of people will think it comes out of a big, expansive camera. We have so many nice cinematic stuff out of iPhones here on RU-vid, it’s amazing. I like what apple made over the years, especially the video quality is one, if not the best of all smartphones. You can easily run a whole RU-vid Chanel by just using an iPhone.

Sorry but any beginner photographer who takes this video seriously is in for a big disappointment. You completely discarded everything the DSLR is capable of when used properly. We’re you just shooting in auto (that would make a slightly fairer comparison)? If you used strobe, or properly exposed or did anything a DSLR is capable of it wouldn’t even be a contest. That being said I’m about to start shooting with my 12 mini knowing it’s limitations while I wait for a x100V. ✌🏼

I do see where your coming from where the cannon might look better But at least behind phone doesn't make you look white like the Canon does when Michael Jackson bleached his skin white That's why android sucks it makes you look like Michael Jackson when he bleached his skin white
