Mine comes on Friday. I'm upgrading from an 8+ so this will be a big jump. I went with the pro max 256G in graphite. I chose the Pro Max because I'm very interested in the cameras and I just like the larger format. I do a lot of outdoor photography while storm chasing, so am particularly interested in the low-light performance as well as the wet tolerance. I'm pretty stoked for it to get here!
Im still using 6+ and the 12 series not much a different compared to the 11 series so I’ll wait for the 13 pro max next year with full screen no notch, got 120hz pro motion, bigger battery, bigger RAM, 64mp camera, 8k video, 1TB storage, no charging port (completely wireless) USB C always a welcome and In display touch/face ID
I really want to see one in person. My 7 Plus has been great but I'm eyeing an upgrade. On one hand, that 6.7" display sounds HUUGE, but I also remember when a 4" display on a phone was considered gargantuan and here we are.
Me too. Same width as the 7 Plus and only 0.1” taller. Should be virtually the same feel in your hands, other than the extra weight, which is substantial.

I think you’re missing the whole point. If you’re like most people you always have the phone on you. Therefore you’re less likely to miss that perfect shot.
The gold just isn’t gold like on the back I like the steel gold color but the back is so weak color wise. The graphite is amazing but I wish there was a black version too

i'm dying. The new iphones are launching 18th December 2020 in South Africa and still not sure which to choose! Iphone 12 Pro or Pro max. I use my phone for my RU-vid videos and will be doing so with my phone of choice but its just not an easy decision since the camera difference is so tiny!
Been an android die hard since the OG Samsung Galaxy S. This is my first time owning an iPhone. Due to new widget and customizable Home Screen options, iOS now has removed the most annoying limitation it had in my mind. I come to the 12 Pro Max from a Pixel 4 XL, so the size is just fine for me. My pacific blue unit is a gorgeous phone to hold and look at. This has been a no regret switch that I wouldn’t have made but for the T-Mobile promotion.
Just bought this today. I pick it up at an apple store on Friday. I'm switching from a Galaxy S9 to this which is my first iPhone. I'm hoping I have a good experience
You will 👍 It will take a few days to adjust to the iOS and it’s quirks but you will love it once you do. I was Android for 8 years with my last phone being the Samsung S10+ . I changed to the iPhone 11 Pro Max 9 months ago. Haven’t regretted it. Enjoy 👍

Preordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max gold on the 6th! Got the email earlier today that it's been shipped. Hopefully it'll arrive earlier in the day tomorrow. SO EXCITED! Upgrading from the XS Max that I got in 2018.

Excellent point towards the end of this video. This device is great for media consumption and the bigger battery but when is Apple going to utilize the screen space appropriately? I’ve had my Xs Max for over 2 years and it’s been mostly a pleasure to use. But it’s also been frustrating that I cant take advantage of any type of split screen for the extra screen real estate. That’s why this year I’m opting for a standard 12 Pro. I’ll go back to the Max once they figure out their software.

The IPhone Pro Max has a much better resolution than the IPhone 12. IPhone Pro Max...2778-by-1284-pixel resolution at 458 ppi vs 2532-by-1170-pixel resolution at 460 ppi for the IPhone Pro. The max also has a bigger screen...6.7-inch vs 6.1-inch.
I just received my iPhone 12 Pro Max 512GB in Pacific Blue. The color is much nicer in person. Everything is flawless. Couldn’t have made a better purchase. I’m coming from the 10X Max. The camera is insanely great. The 5G in my area in NJ is crazy fast. Faster than my WiFi. I’m on Verizon. Overall, great job Apple!
I ordered then cancel it, then ordered and cancel it again, then the case arrived, and realized this phone is not as huge as most reviews make it sound to be. I been using the Xr, because I wanted to buy the 11 then when it came out it had no 5g so I had to hold on. After watching reviews you guys at c-net did it for me, so I re-ordered. Thanks for the review , I can leave my Nikon dslr at home again.
Initially, I dismissed the upgrade because I have the 11 Pro Max 256gb, but because of the upgrade program I figured I might as well get the new phone and I’m used to the larger screen. So, I ordered the 12 Pro Max 256gb in Pacific Blue. You did a great job of displaying all the features. When I saw you attach the 🍎 🖊 I thought it was a bonus feature I’d overlooked, but it’s certainly something they should do for next phone. Maybe shorten the pencil just a little and allow it connect to the side of the phone like on our iPad Pros and have it function same as on the iPad and I guarantee I’d roll over again to the new phone. Can’t wait for Friday delivery.
Hi Patrick, I have the Dji OM4, and I Love iT!! I use it with my 8+, and I will be moving up from the 8+, and contemplating between the 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max, just because of the dimensions of the phone and screen size of the max. But I'm nervous that the max will be too big for my OM4 clamp. Don't want to add the adhesive back; too permanent.What do you think? Pro or Pro Max? Will use it for video recording,
I have the OM4 as well getting the 12 pro max tomorrow. Won’t the magnet on the phone mean we don’t need the clamp or stick on? That is one reason I upgraded

I love my iPhone 12 Pro Max!!!! I got it the other day and I love it. I got it in the silver color and 256gb it should last me a while!!! I was going to switch to android because I enjoy both android and iPhones but I stuck to iPhone and I’m glad I did.
It’s a no brainer to go from the pro to the pro max for 100 bucks more. The bigger battery alone worth it. I preordered a gold pro max 256GB. Can’t wait until this Friday.

Great review. So if I wanted to switch from my note10+ which came with 12gigs of ram and 256 gigs of memory and a charger and headphones and I bought 1tb of memory for $25 for the memory card slot. And wanted to get Iphone 12pro max with 524 gigs of memory I be paying $1,399 no charger or headphones. Let's see air pods pro want the best is $299. Charger is $20 magsafe is $40 that comes to $1,618. Oh but the Promax does come with 6 gigs of ram. Remind me again why would I switch?

A good decision by Apple to use a 12 megapixel 65mm equivalent camera instead of 80mm 8 megapixel. Most people are not aware that "optical zoom" specs are just marketing, for example "3x" 80mm equivalent cameras often only have 8 megapixels, but optical zoom doesn't reduce the megapixel count. Theoretically 65mm + 12 megapixel gives you exactly the same amount of details as 80mm + 8 megapixel. So it's no surprise that Apple chose 65mm. If the 65mm camera has the same sensor size as Apple's 52mm camera, it will also capture about the same amount of light per time from distant objects as 80mm equivalent smartphone cameras.
I'm a serious photographer (amateur mostly, but for work, too), and I'm willing to pay the premium for the bigger sensor and the longer telephoto range. I have a tolerance for very large phones (preference, even). If I were advising most people, though, I'd probably steer them down the iPhone line.

I really like that Gold though this year and ended up buying the Gold one. I agree, the Gold sides is what got me also. It looks so luxurious. Friday can't come soon enough 😁
Very happy they haven't gone to the 20:9 ratio , and they've kept the flat screen. Just wish they gave you better gestures for going back , like a swipe from the right would be great .
Ordered my Pacific Blue 12pmax 512 today....only weird thing in your video Is I kept seeing a weird red pinpoint dot...was thinking, damn maybe I lost a pixel in my monitor...but no it went away at times...weird.

I mean, other than the folding screens that are still fragile for the masses.. there’s not much else to do. I’ve tried three folding phones this year just to test the form factor, and while they’ve certainly gotten better... they’re nowhere near as durable as they’d need to be for a “mass” device - Samsung and Motorola got it right by making them a niche device - for now.
I agree with what you said at the end about Apple should utilize the iPad/os. I was hoping to actually be able to use the 12 pro max as a second screen. Maybe in the next 6 months
