So S20 can do everything the iPhone does and more, while the iPhone does some things better/faster but is smaller and more expensive. S20 for me, easily.
iPhone is just optimized so much better with apps like Instagram and Snapchat. Also there are less bugs on iOS. Whereas customisation and features easily go to Samsung. I'd go for the iPhone 12 only if it had 120hz. That is the biggest deal breaker for me
I went from iphone to Samsung. I've been using my S20 FE for about 10 days now, and I'm so happy with it. Also, I paid $60 on Amazon for a 512gb micro SD card, so storage is massive for a phone. Highly recommend!!!
@TheChaosWithinn I say go for it! I compared the iphone 12 up to the 12 Max, and I liked the S20 so much more. I was originally going to get the S20+, but I had no idea about the FE 5G version. It's much cheaper, and has everything that I wanted without paying the S20+ $1100 price for features I don't use or care about. The FE is perfect for me, but try them all and see what's best for you!
@@aswinshajisv4797 I have my S20 over 5 month and I think it is good smartphone. I have Exynos and I miss 5G and better battery but camera, display, design and software are very good
You can get a new s20 plus for around 739 to 749 some places. Snapdragon variant for that price it blows the iPhone 12 out of the water. I don't see magsafe as a pro for apple either. You got to buy that plus their 20 watt charger to be able to get the full 15 watt wireless charge it doesn't work with any other charger but that one not even the faster macbook charger. Apple is ripping people off again. The only thing apple has over the s20 plus is the a14 bionic and you can only see the difference when video editing and rendering. The iPhone both older ones and new doesn't have proper thermal systems for proper cooling and sustained performance when gaming. Sad really with all that processing power. As for video that can be subjective to with the money you save getting the fe or s20 plus get a good 3 axis gimbal and you're good to go. Gets rid of the micro stutters you seem to get on android phones due to the eis.
This is the first Samsung phone I owned where I actually tried DeX and all I can say is that that alone will be the reason Samsung auto wins every time! This thing is amazing and will now be a must have for me

I bet you’ve never tried an iPhone, and not all these, “iSheep” are fanboys. Also, you make fun of the charging brick going, but then on your S21, that you’ll never get, it’ll not have a brick aswell. To end, they’re just phones, you can’t insult someone or make them seem uneducated just because they use an android/ios phone.

Looks soo much better than the samsung . Not futuristic at all in my opinion. But it all comes to the personal perspective... And after all i‘m kinda tired of ppl saying apple has no innovation in design.... like how many ways are there to design a phone ? Not many and the iphone looks really good imo.
@@LordOfChaos.x say an iPhone doesn’t have a notch, what’re u gonna put there? just a few pixels for the background wallpaper. videos getting slightly cut off is a valid argument but I think it looks much better than a hole punch so it’s all personal preference at the end of the dsy

Never really understood the discrimination on plastic. its less likely to break. My first smart phone was a S3 and it never broke after a little over 6 big drops. I guess i understand giving apple a point for material but what difference does it make to the user experience in the long run? Going with the FE based on price, charger and 120fps display
I hate when ppl say how cheap it feels and look, the same ppl that probably uses a phone case.... I recently bought my S20FE and my apple friend with the iphone 12 was actually jealous of the fact the FE comes with 120 Hz, Telephoto lense, EXPANDABLE MEMORY, etc. And all the people who complains about performance...realistically whose gonna use the phone to the max everyday
So you say having a phone that lasts you 5 years is overpriced and rather buy a phone that may last you 1 or EVEN 2 years? Lmao android phones may have a good battery after 1 year when you turn on the battery saving mode but if not then the battery sucks...
@@lel3019 I always keep low battery on anyway plus they promise 3 years of update so that's good and android phones last alot longer than that depending on how you use it and it's much cheaper not everyone can afford a iphone nor want one
Fair, it’s your preference. It is not the same for everyone tho. Apple does deliver its value for some users. No need to fight over this, some people enjoy meat while some enjoy vegetable.
Samsung has a good battery for like uhm short term. They don't run out fast but the older they get the worse it is. Apple on the other hand has an okay battery but in the long term, Apple beats it. It's just preference in operating systems and brands
To me the S20 FE wins because: $700, 128Gb storage in base model + expandable memory, 120hz refresh rate display, no notch, larger display, charger included in the box. The A14 bionic is not that super fast in comparisons I've watched, it is actually disappointingly similar only really shining in video decoding, which has always been what they are good at; and next year when new phones get the new Exynos 1080, Apple will have to really re-invent the wheel.
Having both the devices .. I do switch around them once awhile. I will choose the iPhone 12 for its OS fluidity and Face ID. S20 FE seems to give much better battery life compared to the IP12, pixel density may be lower on the S20 FE but the amount of colour clarity you get from the S20 FE is brilliant. Overall both phones win in this case.
Where I live the S20 FE 5G costs 470$ for the 128gb model, while the iPhone 12 costs 920$ for the 128 model. I really want to have an iPhone, but I don't think it worth the double price tag.
I just bought the s20 FE 5G fot $449!! After seeing this video I'm even more excited. I dont like spending alot on phones but for that price I figured I couldn't go wrong.
Ok so the S20 have wireless powershare, no wires needed, comes with it straight out of the box However the iPhone 12 has.. magasafe? Which you don't get but have to buy separately.. And the magsafe doesn't come with a power brick And the iPhone itself doesn't come with a power brick too.. S20 just killed iPhone..
@@lel3019 You keep saying that but I've never had that problem on the Note 10+ nor on any of my previous phones, the Note 8, 5, etc. Maybe you were just unlucky or it's not the phone but something external.
@@emilijanar Hey! Wow it's been a year already that's crazy. But my phone is still pretty good. However I do have some things to say about it for sure. The battery does heat up quite a bit if it has a thick case on it or if you put it under a blanket (like I did once) and it over heated before shutting down. The battery life was super good when it was new. As of now, it's decent but I can tell it will start dying a lot faster. Like something roller down a hill, it will get faster and faster before it stops lol. But my biggest heartbreak is the camera. The back camera is alright but not the best, my previous Google Pixel 3 had an amazing camera and I'd take that over the SE 20. The selfie camera is absolutely awful! It's grainy and not good at all, it reminds me of a phone camera back from 2014. If the camera matters to you then I'd go with the iPhone 11 or other choice than the SE 20. Everything else is great though. If you play mobile games like I do, the graphics are super crisp and clear. I have had no problems with anything to do with that. If I think of anything else I'll probably edit this reply, but I hope this helps! Good luck with your new phone! :)
How do you like it so far? I am trading in my iPhone 11 l have had for a year. I don’t care for it, going back to Samsung 20FE Android, had a Samsung 7 earlier
@@davidshort9439 I've been using it for only a couple of days and the phone is speedy. I purchased the 5G model with 8GB memory and 256GB storage. This is the 1st Samsung phone ever to release in SG with a Snapdragon chip instead of Exynos. The Snapdragon 865 is really powerful and can take on any tasks I throw at it, be it gaming or daily apps that I used. On a side note, I'll not consider this phone if it came with an Exynos 990 processor. I'll not recommend this phone to anyone if the Snapdragon variant is not available in your region.
I wouldn’t say there is a definitive advantage, if you are an iOS user you wouldn’t really consider android. Same goes the other way. Some people might get bored and switch around. We don’t need to compare phone as if it’s a political debate. Both platforms serve their target audience well.
@@Anonymous-vh9tc I had android, then I went to iOS, then back to android. I slightly prefer Android for it's ease of navigation and customization, but iOS has become more like android over time so I've heard

Wait, that's not a joke...you have to BUY a standard charger for the Iphone 12 phones? As in, either Iphone 12 you get, the standard charger won't come in the box? 😲
Dyllen-Maine apparently it was for the environment and “everyone has it already” even do the ones they are selling is the USB type c ones which not many apple users have it’s so stupid
Considering the FE with the charger is $599 in the US and the 12 128gb is $879 plus $20 for the charger (so $899 total) there's no competition. The FE is the best value phone out right now and probably the only phone people should buy especially in the US.
he also forgot to say that real world usage ignores the fact that the bionic chip is faster since you won't be using more than the speed the snap dragon chip provides. you wont notice a difference in gaming, media, and other stuff except for creating large media files.
I have both phones. Upgraded my OnePlus 6t to the S20 FE (my first Sammy) and also traded my iPhone Xr for a iPhone 12. So far I'm *REALLY* enjoying the iPhone while I'm just getting used to the Samsung. The performance of the iPhone is simply great. However, coming from the OnePlus to the Sammy is taking a little time to get used to. OxygenOS was a joy to use and I'm finding OneUI to be a bit cumbersome TBH... or let me say it another way.. OneUI simply gets in the way quite often. With that being said, I'm giving the Sammy another week or two before changing launchers to try to get a more stock experience. However, it's not all roses with the iPhone 12. While the new screen is far more resistant to cracking due to impact it's also FAR more subject to scratching. So I'm treating this phone very gently until the case and tempered glass screen protector I ordered finally arrives. On that same note, the S20 FE already has a bit of scuffing from being in my pocket. I also ordered a case/TG screen protector for this one. Neither phone is perfect but both are enjoyable.
9:43 I have been talking about this for years, type c or standard android cords cannot cast without an internet connection and ppl have been getting scammed by faulty cords. Another reason for why I need this phone
I've had it for 5 days now and have had no problem. I think the recent updates have fixed i, I would have never known if I didn't do my research about the phone
Turn sensitivity on. Otherwise you will have ghost touches. I hate this phone because of it. It doesn´t happen often but the 1 time it does make me mad af.
From what I’ve seen the iPhone 12’s have limited repairs that can be done by a local repair shop, due to Apple serializing the internal components to each other. If repairs have to be done by Apple, that is a big drawback in my opinion.
Switched from Iphone to S20 FE and could not be happier - i appreciate that its a little slower processor because it improves the battery. The FE is better than S20 because its got bigger battery, slightly lower res which improves battery . Quality, beautiful phone.
In India S20 plus price is almost equals to S20 fe there was a massive price. So S20 plus have curve screen , dynamic Amoled , 120hz , half price of iPhone 12 ( in India)
In this case the iPhone wins anyway, the iOS app store apps are more optimized for iPhones. In the example of Snapchat, for andriod it takes a screen shot of the camera image instead of using the camera when on iOS it takes a photo directly from the image sensor. Also you will be getting longer and better software support with the iPhone.
@@mrcamelfrags I didn't say Apple isn't good. Better? No- it's totally depends on taste. I can never like iOS. Android is to go OS always due to its features. Considering software support, Samsung gives 3 years support now, longer than that nowadays people don't use phones. And yes, benefits of closed OS (iOS) is it can optimize apps better, while android cannot, but still Samsung gives comparable performance, so I am more than fine if I get a big beautiful & 120hz smooth screen, longer battery. Snapchat taking direct camera photo or taking time to process, who cares? I don't use snapchat or I won't mind waiting for software processing, no I don't have to run (not a deal breaker AT ALL). Believe me or not, Apple lacks in innovations a lot (and everyone sees and agrees on that now). This is my personal view & I respect everyone's.
@@kesh4338 appreciate the respect, its unfortunately hard to have discussions instead of arguments. I think for innovation it really depends on what specific features the manufacturer focuses most (OnePlus for speed, samsung for displays, Apple for camera quality and optimization ect.). And I only used Snapchat as a specific example for my point. The three main points of a phone is texting, calling, and cellular service. Apple nails these features on the head with iMessage, microphone quality, and carrier support. I find that if andriod manufacturers worked closer with Google to solve these issues it would be wonderful. I have a note 20 Ultra and when I use RU-vid I get occasional video stuttering and crashes when I never had those issues on my iPhone 8. But I can take advantage of the abilities of an open source software like andriod. The main point is if you like andriod go there but if you like iOS get an iPhone.
@@mrcamelfrags @Adam Soumayah microphone quality? Samsung beats Apple totally. In terms of mic quality Samsung has been superior from last few years. Carrier support? Apple totally wins. (But only in America! For Samsung it's difficult as unlike Apple, Samsung focuses on many countries and there are many carriers in that way. In India, both android and Apple have same kind of carrier support). Call quality? both are great. I have Galaxy S10e - a tiny flagship phone and I never faced issue you mentioned in your S20 Ultra - looks like a temporary bug, should eventually be fixed with update I hope. And I totally agree with your point of Samsung closely working with Google for better support - and I think they are trying that since last few years (with Google + MS) and we do see improvements. Also I agree and I always mention, Apple vs Samsung/other Android is totally upto a user preference and both are winners in their own ways. 💪
You can get high refresh rates in cheap phones. I've watched reviews of phones that were $300 that had 120hz. I think I saw one that goes for $250 that had 90 or 120hz.
For the apps part you should probably mention that android allows third party app stores so you can get hacked and modded games a lot easier. And you can also emulate games on android so if you want to say play a old ps2 game on your phone. Also some games support 120htz so you can play at 120 fps
I just got the Samsung phone today. I have always been an iPhone user. A couple of days after I got my iPhone 11 Max I dropped it and got a crack on the edge of the glass. I had an expensive glass cover on it. Now it’s paid off and the screen is cracked everywhere. It seems like the glass is not as tough as it used to be. I’m looking forward to seeing how this phone holds up. I will be getting a case for it. A tough case!
@@tylerwatson9230 I didn’t know he meant it like that, I thought he meant it only the fe has it, AS WRITTEN. So it was grammatically incorrect. He should have said as well with the iPhone. The S20 FE also has face ID unlock system 🤷🏻♂️. Also, even though the S20 isn't as powerful and fast as the iPhone, you can still work pretty well on it. Most of the time you will be using a computer to work not a phone, so that extra power on the iPhone is a little bit wasted IMO. SO yes, in the long run, the S20 has more useful features for a smartphone than the iPhone and what it lacks in comparison (horse power) isn't a big deal since that is just Overkill for a phone. Also, lets not forget that the S20 comes with a charger. Just my 20 cents.

Question. How does one make a determination on what is "modern" in a smart phone design? The Samsung actually looks a lot like a Windows phone I owned several years ago, just a bit thinner, lighter and 0.5" more screen length diagonally. In a mere 5 years, will what you think is more modern be considered obsolete?
I was pretty much sold on the S20 FE but a friend has been trying to convince me to buy an iphone. I gave the IP12 serious consideration until I saw a reviewer who said that Apple doesn't cover water damage even though it has anIP68 rating. I couldn't believe it so I checked and a couple people had the phone in their pockets when they were caught in the rain and Apple refused to honor the warranty. Here's the link... www.techguide.com.au/news/mobiles-news/water-resistant-iphone-not-covered-warranty-water-damage/ Definitely going with the FE. Price, storage, 120HZ, Dex, and I prefer plastic.
That review is a total lie. People have literally swam in the ocean with iPhones and put their water resistance to the test and it takes a lot of water to kill those things! 😂
@@GalaticPanda I got my S20 FE 4 days ago! Coming from a Pixel 3a XL its exactly the same size overall but with a much bigger screen. Gaming performance after a year or two is where the extra power is used. My Tab S6 on the latest One UI version has frame drops and lag moments just playing CSR2. My iPhone XR on iOS 15 has no such issue.
