This is the very impressive short video, Whodunnit, shown during the Apple September 14th 2021 event. This was all shot in Cinematic Mode on the new iPhone 13.
Just to be clear. This video was shot on the iPhone 13 range, which includes the iPhone 13 Mini and was not shot using the iPhone 13 Pro or the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Expect the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max to be even better when shooting video especially as both the Pro models of the iPhone 13 will shoot in ProRes Apple RAW.
With time and attention, this is the quality of video that can be filmed on an iPhone 13. This truly is cinematic video from the iPhone 13 and goes to show the improvements for the cameras on the iPhone 13.
I think it's fair to say that the iPhone 13 video quality is awesome and the iPhone 13 is the best iPhone yet.

Wow, their camera got better. It has depth of field. If it's front camera has 4k24 it will be a perfect vlog camera!

Yes Tone, it looks great. I can’t believe the quality of the video footage. Sure, it’s been professionally lit etc. but it just goes to show how good it can look with some care and attention. Apparently the front camera can go up to 4K 60FPS, which is nuts. There’s also options for HDR. The Pro and Pro Max can also shoot ProRes and Apple RAW. I’ll be ordering the 13 Mini, so will find out if it will be good for vlogging. I also ordered the new iPad Mini as soon as I seen it had USB C, that should be with me next Friday. Loads of videos to do with these things :) Also, the Hero 10 gets released tomorrow. I’m now in two minds about that because the iPhone might be good for vlogging. Although, I love the stabilisation on the GoPro 8 and 9 and the 10 is apparently better for stabilisation. I do prefer vlogging on something that is primarily a camera though and I love the GoPro 8 for that. Looks like I’ll have to get into drug dealing to feed my tech habit 😆 BTW, screw Resolve 🤣 Cheers, Dave.

Wheres the bastard size Imac M1? I can't believe they haven't announced it. Jesus christ, a new phone with slightly better power and a bigger bloody camera, ffs. In case you haven't gathered, I'm a tad peeved lol.

What iMac are you talking about? I didn’t know they were releasing another one so soon. That said, I didn’t expect them to announce the new iPad Mini at this event.

@@DavidHarry Yeah, they've only refreshed the 24" model iMac with the M1 chip so far. The 27" (but apparently bigger) model was supposedly getting dropped today as was the 16" Macbook Pro. But instead it was the Iphone and the Ipad Mini. Looks like it's gonna be next year before they get updated now. :(

I see. The problem with all this talk about the various “supposed” new releases and models, is it’s mostly by all those BS Apple rumour channels. I pay very little attention to anything until the manufacturer says something. As for the 27”, or bigger, iMac. I’d imagine that Apple may be holding on until they start using a new CPU, maybe the M1X or similar that everyone has been talking about or maybe more likely, whatever the upgrade from the M1 is going to be. It may even be that Apple are waiting until they do a “Pro” line and then go really mad with the iMac. Why don’t you grab a Mac Mini M1? If you get one second hand you can always sell it on and not lose too much money when they finally release their bigger iMac. I’ve seen Mac Mini M1s as low as just over £500 on eBay. I had one and sold it because I wasn’t using enough but ended up getting the MacBook Air M1 not so long back because I really do need to move over to Mac properly and get into Resolve. Funny thing now is, I’m getting into the Mac stuff quite a bit more than I’d expected and laptops aren’t really my thing. I’m gonna sell the Air and get another Mini, again, a second hand one so I don’t lose too much when it’s time to upgrade to a more powerful Mac. Hopefully a more powerful Mini as I really do like that they are small and unobtrusive.

@@DavidHarry Yeah, I know what you mean about the rumour sites. They very seldom get it spot on. The reason there was a bit of hope for this one was cos when they first announced the M1 Tim Cook said it would be a 2 year roll out on all the machines. So the first year concentrated on the 24" iMac, the mini and the MBP. and then the second year which is now should in theory have been the other models. I was contemplating the mini, especially after you were singing its praises ages ago, then I thought I might as well wait and get the 27" M1/M1x updated iMac. So I was looking forward to today as hopefully being the announcement I was wanting hahaha. bloody iphone 13 instead. I might actually just bite the bullet and get a mac Mini after all. You are deffo right. I will have a look around at second hand, but to be honest I can get one with discount from the mac store, and it comes with 3 years apple care, so I will see whats worth doing. Bloody technology! :) Speaking of which is the new Go Pro due to launch shortly? You gonna be getting one when they come out.

Defo go for the Mini, it’s awesome for what it is. As for the GoPro, that’s supposed to be announced and maybe even on preorder tomorrow, Thursday. The problem I’ve got at the moment is that I’ve still got to setup my new Camera/Mic/Vlogging channel as I’m trying to concentrate on computer tech stuff on this channel and I’m not sure how much time I can put towards that stuff at the moment. Plus I’ve still got the 8 and the 9, although I’ll sell the 9 if I go for the 10. The 8 is still my fave so far. To be honest, I’m wondering if the iPhone 13 Mini might be a good bet for vlogging. That said, I’ve got to sell a bunch of tech, my main Windows PC, Android phone, tablets etc. I’m really getting into this switch over to the Mac and iOS stuff but it’s f…ing expensive 😆
