I upgraded to the deep purple 14 pm from the 13 mini product red. It’s a huge upgrade in battery life and display. The 14 pm feels like a ss brick. Lay it down on a table and you hear how dense it is. Sometimes, I do wish I had my 13 mini. But, I have a reality check with the battery life and always on display along with FaceTime with my wife and daughter. So, I love it more than I dislike it.
I don’t know how people be complains about the cut out from Apple if it’s the notch or the pill. It doesn’t bother me at all watching videos and majority of the RU-vid videos now and days don’t fill the whole screen unless you zoom in on it. For me the notch and the pill is perfect I prefer that over Touch ID
@@beaualoevvit will come once dynamic island is available to most iPhone users. And that will start when it’s available to bon pro models then after 4 years…at least 50% iPhone users will have dynamic island to motivate app developers to take advantage of it
I love my iPhone 14 pro max No complaints here . Definitely one of the best phones to have The display is friggin Amazing Battery life for me is always great and long lasting The performance overall is 10/10
Great video Nick. The 14PM for me has been a solid device. People did report a bugs on iOS 16( I Honestly didn’t notice any) but the battery health on my device is now at 98% so I’m guessing something was a little off with the software as it’s never drained this much in a year. Other that that this looks feels and performs like a top of the line device. I have an s23 too but find myself coming back to the iPhone just because it feels so much more refined.
I use the iPhone 14 Pro Max as my primary phone and I am pleased to report that the battery life is superb. It easily lasts me throughout the day despite my heavy usage. By the way, great video Nick.
I got the 14 pro after having my 12 PM for over 2 years. Only reason I upgraded was for some reason the volume on my 12 was so low I could hardly hear my alarm go off and I could hardly hear media I play through the phone. I had enough. The 14 pro is alright, nothing special
Ever since buying the iPhone X in 2017 I have never watched the next apple iPhone event. At least two years in a row I don't. So I skipped 2018 & 2019 event and I watched it in 2020 for the iPhone 12 pro Max and now it'll be this year for the iPhone 15 pro max after skipping the 2021 & 2022 event. Because I never see many changes in a year or two. Three years is when you notice some changes. I'm hoping the add periscope lens that can compete with Samsung otherwise I will skip this phone and wait for the 2026 event
I can’t believe it’s been a year already. I remember the 13 Pro Max being released when I was still in school. It’s funny how I some how own one, from mid-tier budget Android to high-tier flagship iPhone. Crazy upgrade and still works well to this day. Apple hasn’t taken a mint break in a few years, the UI got stale dry pretty fast, and I ended up forgetting most about the Android world, which I do miss, but I will be planning on dual-wielding it along with my iPhone.
I’ve just bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max and it was 19 days old with 100% battery for £700- sold my iPhone 13 Pro Max for £660 😊 so it was a cheeky upgrade for me at very little cost - I like the dynamic island now and it’s the best colour in Deep Purple
I use both the S23 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, on and off (using the S23 Ultra right now), I have to say I prefer the 14 Pro Max. Idk what it is, but the iPhone just feels solid when performing tasks, I'm wondering if it's because the apps are just better optimized (my Jeep and home security apps feel second hand on my S23U as a small example) . Also a lot of apps allow for IOS integration, so there are times when you can add things to my wallet or part of the software, when the same couldn't be said for my S23U (recently I could add plane tickets to my Samsung wallet with that airline that I'm usually able to add tickets to my Apple Wallet). At the end of the day it comes down to preference of OS.
Funny how people who have used Android more also think that Android is more solid and overall better. It really is just a matter of personal preference.
@@cw1161 if i wanted a phone that lags when is has 4 apps open & has the same front camera as an android from 2012, i would switch back to iPhone 6. same thing but without the price tag. never understood android people lol. let’s see if your s23 ultra works exactly the same after a year & drops in value so fast lol. no wonder that you get a high price trade in and free earbuds & watch just to stay with samsung
You are so right I got my iPhone 14 3 days ago because my iPhone 12 max stop working I was wondering if I should wait on the 15 but my phone was so bad I just said I will grab the 14 companies like AT&T have a promotion to get a iPhone 13 for only $800 when you can 15 max for the same price every year people know if they get the 128gb they paying a 1000 bucks I had my 12 plus 3 years . It was time my battery will only last 3 hours a day .
I have an 11 Pro Max , works great , never freezes does whatever I need it to, could use a battery change. I feel like they have peaked in speed for the average person , remember the iPhone 4 was amazing, fast, and the camera quality superb ? at the end of the day it’s just a phone . Great video !
I literally just had my iPhone 7 that came out in 2015 no cracks no nothing and just 3 or 4 days ago I upgraded to a 14 pro max literally I’m on one as we speak😂 it was a HUGE upgrade for me but can not be enough to where I’m not responsible because I have ocd and I don’t like cracks or dirt in the ports of the phone I got my 14 pro Max and literally treated it better than my iPhone 7😂🤷🏾♂️ and the 7 isn’t cracked it isn’t broken it’s just that I didn’t care about the 7 at all🤨🤷🏾♂️😂
Nah man some phones do have superior signal reception even with the same antenna company and carrier. Samsungs tend to have better signal than iPhones usually.
I hate the grainy camera in lowlight on 14 pro max. I really dislike that. I may consider switching to 15 pro max. My battery health is 97% after 6 months. I do use it a lot tho and it lasts ages ev n with the 3% battery health drop. Overall great experience except for the camera. I really like the dynamic island and would love it to stay tho. I actually love everything about it even after 6 months.
Same here im switching from android to iPhone 14 pro max. I currently have a galaxy s9. This is a big upgrade. Never had iPhone before. How was the switch for you?
I dislike that dynamic island so much. Even after a year, it annoys me. I think they had to do something special so people so people could get past its ugliness. Switching to the e-sim was a pain. They didn’t remove the sim from my previous phone, so for 5 months, I had call problems. Finally, one T-Mobile tech figured it out. The phone is too heavy. The display and battery have always been great. That is it. I’m looking forward to watching the 16 leaks for the next year in hopes of losing the dynamic island 🏝️.
@@redeem5858 I like the larger screens and the 13 pro max weighs the same as the 14 pm. I do love always on display, too. Through the rumor mill, I heard that the 16 pro and pro max are supposed to be bigger. If the 16 pro becomes 6.3, that may be close enough to a pm
The only 2 things I don’t like about my deep purple iPhone 14 Pro Max are the sheer weight of the device and the what I consider sub-standard battery life using iOS 16.6 since it has been available.
also... camera bump is so massive, yet cameras are not even protected by the rings... meanwhile S23 has that and smaller thickness of the bump as well...
It's great too. Photos appear natural and true-to-life like the iPhone. Pretty solid but video may be a tad bit disappointing compared to Samsung on the Android side
guy who bought the newer iphone every year lol. i think if you have the 11 pro max… and thinking about the 14,15.. don’t do it. buy the pro versions. wait for the 15 pro or get the 14pro and you will be very satisfied
Cmon apple! Your iphones are getting boring😪, we need innovation, we don't want to buy another iphone with almost the same as our previous ones, we need a real massive upgrade!
