Been using the pro max since a few months now and i love it. I think a lot of reviewers exaggerate the size/weight thing. Yes, its big and heavy, but its not problematic at all, at least for me. I can still type a whatsapp message with one hand ... Battery life is stellar, and i love the fluidity and quality of the screen.
It’s not exaggerated at all, it’s the heaviest smartphone by far. Quality of the screen is the exact same since the iPhone X lol except for the promotion
@@DeezNuts-pq9rb Having them side by side, I can tell you, that is certainly not true. Specs sheets aren’t everything. They look quite different. Supporting HDR could make that difference alone. My XS Max doesn’t support HDR.
@@DeezNuts-pq9rbI’ve had a 14 pro max and let me tell you the last thing i’d think about complaining of is the weight. doesn’t bother me one bit definitely over exaggerated by everyone and before you say i’m wrong, if it’s so heavy as everyone says, no one would’ve bought it but yet again they were sold out🤷🏿♂️
I have to agree. This phone is just awesome. I'm coming to it from a Note20U, which was also a great phone. iPhone, however, is simply a pleasure to use. I have no real complaints beyond what's noted here--mostly software related. C'mon, Apple! Give us Pro-Max users at least multitasking!!
Naw they need to give their whole phone series multitasking. I bought the 14 but having a bit of regret like I should have got the s23 ultra. Multitasking is so important to me. If I’m forking out 1800 I want to be able to do multitasking on a big screen like this. Absolutely ridiculous still gonna get the ultra. If apple don’t step up I’m gone. I do like their simple layout but can’t deal with not being able to use at least 2 screen at once. It’s 2023 man Samsung has had it for a long time now. Screenshots are easier on Samsung too. Apple is overrated. I’m coming from a 6 so I can see the difference but still Samsung beating them with the features. Bring numbers to the top of letters or pull down the letter to get to the number like what’s on the iPad like why can’t they be consistent. 😤
as along time Android user and iPad pro lover i really cant bring myself to like iphone. because its not as intuitive like an android. some simple swipe click on androind becomes 2-3 click on iphone when i tried it. If Apple can bring the stage manager of ipad pro to iphone i might try it for the first time 😅
@sahibbkaur I just bought iPhone 13, 1.5 months back and the battery health is already 97%. I don't understand the reason, and how to prevent the battery health from decreasing any further?
Hi, I should not be too worried, this is within the normal range of battery health reduction. There are very good battery saving tips videos around, including on this channel
Another great and interesting review! Really awesome phone and I choose iPhone because of its camera and usability. It’s easy to navigate. The camera and output are already good for posting/printing. 😎
Dion thank you for your honest and informative take on your six months of the apple iPhone 14 promax. I have been out of the ecosystem for 7 years. The picture and camera quality have far excelled it's last 6 iPhones. I think it is awesomely amazing when it comes to photography. The videos side by side other current smart phones to date. I am coming from an Samsung 22 ultra where they are playing the low game and second fiddle to the iPhone. I could not believe the amazement this has done for me as a comeback 📲 user. Have your heard of magbak ecosystem? The appear to be very strong for protection and and very minimalistic appearance. It even stacks up pretty high in rate along side the outterbox cases. Something to consider for your next case. 🎉keep up the great work. Show us more!
I love my 14PM it’s the first brand new apple phone I have ever owned and the second iPhone I have owned in total. I honestly can’t see myself going back to android phones. Cameras mean nothing to me as a professional photographer using full frame cameras. But the screen, speed, ecosystem, support from Apple made me fall for Apple. Now I’m using the Apple Watch ultra, iPad Air 5 and AirPods and obviously my 14PM.
Can u get to the size? I've the galaxy s20 and I've never had Iphone. I want to buy the Pro max, but scared if I regret. Its not a cheap phone for me. Greetings from Germany
@@user-qj4eogo to an apple store if you have any in your area, or any outlet or retail that sells electronic. Try holding it in your hands and play with it for a bit to see if the size is a good fit or not. I don't have big hands but i have an s21 ultra which is a pretty big phone and i don't have any issues with it. It's about the same size as the 14 pro max maybe a little thinner. If you like big phones with big screens just go for it
I have smallish hands & it’s easy to reach the top just hold it one handed but sort of cup/lean it towards inside your palm & bam can reach top corners with one hand
I’m using both , Samsung S 23 ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max. There is nothing on the iPhone 14 pro max. What Samsung galaxy S 23 ultra doesn’t do better, except only video. Video is still better on iPhone, but the margin is much smaller.
ive always used android phones but im thinking about switching to iphone if i do which iphone should i get? I don't really use my camera that much so its not important to me how good the camera is
Nice review, i have the 14 Pro Max (512GB) in deep purple which I’ve had for almost 6 months now and I love it, the camera is great and the video quality is incredible with battery life while very good, I don’t think it’s quite as good as my old 11 Pro Max and my battery health is still at 100%, but I think that’s more to do with iOS 16, again, great review.
@arsalkashiff The 14 Pro fits small hands better and is overall more compact and easily fits in small areas. (edit) even though it has its cut downs I think with the MoFT MagSafe charger the pro is equally as good and you save some money.
Have it since release day. What can I say? It’s probably the best all-around smartphone outthere. The average Joe got way more than he needs in daily life in top notch quality. It is as it always is, in the end nothing beats an iPhone.
I am watching reviews of 14 pro and pro max as i want to buy my first iphone pro but only think i am worried is the size as i wanna go for pro max but they say it's too heavy and not easy to use one hand and hand hurts?? Please give me your suggestion with which one should i go for, I will be thankful and waiting for your reply
@chevbii Apple's recent iPhones really caught my attention from the 12 to the 14, the squared off edges looks neat and very nice to hold on to, iPhone 14's dynamic island was something new to bring to the mobile plate.
@natiii12i if you want performance , durability and good resell value , definetly go for the iphone but samsung is great for customization and i really like the split screen feature.
@stotch.1 I have to agree. This phone is just awesome. I'm coming to it from a Note20U, which was also a great phone. iPhone, however, is simply a pleasure to use. I have no real complaints beyond what's noted here--mostly software related. C'mon, Apple! Give us Pro-Max users at least multitasking!!
@paper_cliff I will always choose iphone over other smartphone not because im locked into its ecosystem but for its security and seamless compatibility with regards to payment using wallet. Apple may be behind with features but when integrated to the phone, it just felt way better than other competitors.
@wizp0p As much as I prefer the S23 Ultra, there are some things that the iPhone 14 Pro Max can do that the Samsung can't. For example, great battery life, excellent portrait mode and great video stabilization
Groet, Dion
@sophiapontanilla i think i would go with iphone 14 pro because the iphone 14 pro max is slightly heavier and bigger, it doesn't fit my hands that well 😅 another things is that i like the dynamic island feature, i think it's a nice upgrade.
@amrichri I'll go for the regular 14 pro all day. The bigger pro max can be overwhelming with its weight and feel in hand (since i have tiny hands). I think that phones should be in a size that you can comfortably carry day to day, in and out of your pocket without feeling too heavy and big. The regular pro's size hits the sweet spot and substantially cheaper than the promax. Love ur vids Dion, very informative 👍
@william_.forrest Thanks for the videos man! Little typo on the phone specs. You wrote 265GB instead of 256GB. Anyway, how would you say the iPhone 14 pros camera compares to the google pixel 7 pro?
@marcuslowyc Six years of further support is insane. Thanks for covering how the phone holds up after 6 months, and how it’s likely a great phone for many years to come.
@tematotherescue The only thing making Pro Max models (even as awesome as 14PM) a no go for me is the size and weight. Kinda sad to hear all the rumors of 15 Pro Max getting more features than a smaller-sized 15 Pro.
@eloysuuuh I prefer the iphone 14 pro's size, but having a longer battery life with the iPhone 14 pro max is great to have! Also, I do hope Apple introduce the split screen feature, atleast for the max and plus iphones
I just got this phone for $2.78 a month for 36 months. I’m loving it so far. Only thing I hate is the MagSafe charging. It takes 4 plus hours to charge from 0 to 100. It’s ridiculous
@kir_3n New 48 Megapixel Camera is awesome because off the detailing capture in single photo is incredible not even close to Samsung s23 ultra, still I would like 6.1 inch screen for better reach on my phone with single hand, by the way loved you videos keep going 🥳
@stephhencurryy Honestly the only thing that I don’t like about the 14 pro max Is the size because due the the design of the iPhones nowadays the corners feel extremely sharp and uncomfortable
the dynamic island is revolutionary because the space required for the technology such as the camera and face id has been sensibly integrated into the software. Apple needs more space because of Face ID, but they made the best of it.
I think my iPhone is defective cause it feels like im watching a review of a whole another phone, my battery health is at 92% already and its my secondary phone i don’t use it for anything but social media and calls, i dont have games on either of my phones.the camera has way too much contrast , crashes blacks, burns the highlights, the colors look like a samsung phone camera circa 2016-17, oversaturated, oversharpened, hangs a lot so i need to force reset/restart. Gets very hot outside, the connectivity is badish, drops calls frequently. I really miss my 12 pro max. Although it had worse battery life, it had a great camera and everything else was more stable.
i have for first time a iphone and man i love it evereyday i have no problems with it it was easy to understand design is amazing i dont have problems with my battery i love screen oled is great settings are cool i had android and samsung for years i have always have problems with it i dont like android mutch and samsung has a bad battery for me personality but now i step over to iphone i enjoy it so mutch with airpods pro 2 its great and having a blast! with apple
Hi Johnny that would actually be great. Batteries will degrade over time and 90-92% after one year is not bad, so 98% after 6 months is great (and a bit of luck). There are many videos around on how to safe batteries. Important is how you charge them, see for example this link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y8gYl_wMIvo.html
I have been using it ever since I got it for my birthday this year 2023 July 28th and the cameras are amazing and the battery is good ❤ I love this phone great design I wanna see what the 15 models look like and the features they have
@joshua.hh Great review overall! The magsafe feature looks cool but I wonder how stable it is if I'm trying to put it in my pocket or if the phone falls if those parts would detach easily.
@melvinluke.mjl People usually say flagship phones aren't worth the high price and it's just the same mid range phone with a slightly better camera. But after using the nes S23 I rralized that everything feels premium and phone works so fast. There's a snappy feel to it. Like the fingerprint sensor, navigation bar gestures, taking snip of a certain area of the screen, apps opening, display refresh rate, multitasking, etc are really fast. You have to experience it understand that all the the other phones out there are slow.
@jpher_ I love the squared edges from the recent iPhones, but leaks state that the 15 series onwards might lose that perfectly squared edge in favor for a more rounder look such as the 11 series
Just having a hard time switching from an S 23 ultra to an iPhone I just don’t think it’s gonna work for me. Having a hard time with the display I feel the Samsung’s display just looks a lot nicer.
Pro, but oddly I prefer the ultra model of the S23. An Apple device would probably explode trying to do the same multitasking as the Samsung until they are willing to upgrade the RAM
an__aavash i've been looking forward to this kind of review where i can actually know how the long term review is because if i get a new phone i look forward to use it for multiple years and i was thinking of upgrading from my iphone 8 finally lol. good info
@eddiem00n Great and detailed review!! I’m curious to see how the island will evolve now that the notch on the top center is gone. I think that calls for a celebration. 🎉
@katadoto Wish the battery life of the pro max could go into the pro to make it perfect. Just prefer the form factor in the pocket and in the hand and would rather use the iPad for screen real estate and videos/games
Hi sir big fan…i am planning to buy iphone 14promax..and after seeing your video i am confident about it i well go for iphone 14promax thanx u so much sir
