LG has made significant contributions to the things we've normalized today like a dedicated wide-angle camera, double tap to wake or sleep and now the shortcuts bar. Kinda miss having LG as a flagship competitor.
I don't miss Lg at all I have had the G3, G5, G6 love my pixel 5 looking forward to the pixel 7...........LG updates are lacking compared to Google pixel
I honestly think the Dynamic Island is just another one of the small marketing schemes that apple does that works so well. Even though there is still a notch, this new feature made it look new for most people.
It is new though. Not only a physical redesign, but incorporated into the software as a usable space. Not saying it’s anything incredible, but for early adopters it’s an awesome addition that has some cool benefits over previous designs
I’ve had my deep purple 14 pro for about 6 months now. I upgraded from an 11 that I dropped in the river. I’m very impressed with it and love the dynamic island. I’m finding myself surfing through apps on the go and it’s very convenient. I almost always have AirPods In and love the connection as well
It's amazing how some features like 'Car crash detection' seems so simple for people but I think this might have made the engineers and designers scratch their head to make it precise.

With Apple being late to it, I'm sure they were able to copy a lot of Google's R&D to get themselves pretty close starting points. Pixel's have had it since the Pixel 3 with no reports of false triggers
@@kill3rbyysight more than luck, the popularity also plays part and most people still remember that iPhone was first smartphone so they are popular that doesn't mean I am taking it away from LG. Its just WHEN you got popular . I ma an android user.
@@kill3rbyysight Your comment proves that ignorance is bliss, and nostalgia is a great memory blocker. Apple focused on the right things from the start. They made sure the user experience was solid, and avoided big hardware issues. Hard work and creativity only get you so far. LG phones were garbage. If LG was successful with their phones, they’d still be selling em.
As an avid mountaineer the satellite communication is groundbreaking. Maybe for some that feature seems like something you would never use, but I spend almost every weekend out of cell service. The ability to keep family updated with my location quickly and easily and have the ability to call for rescue is an absolute insane feature for me 😄
i know exactly what you mean, its huge honestly like i didnt think apple would be the one to fix this issue like its almost in my daily life where i dont have service bc where i live so i dealt w this and now apple is the problem solver
Regardless if you can text family or not but the fact that you don’t feel like your going to die in the middle of nowhere is a great relief. I don’t even do outdoor things but from watching all those horror films 😂 about getting lost and having to cut your arm or getting lost in nature! 😢 or even getting stranded in the middle of the ocean! Imagine titanic passengers having iphones that couldve sent sos to responders!
I used to own an LG G4 as a middle schooler, and no matter how many impressive phones I see, I just can't get over how ahead of its time that phone was. Couple features that have since been introduced to iPhones are the back of the phone taps, front screen tap to wake up, always on display, default weather animations, and the "dynamic island." and absolutely AMAZING camera quality as well. Honestly as a South Korean myself, kinda bummed that my childhood smartphone is never coming back.
Interestingly, a lot of those features go even further back - the Nokia N9 from 2011 had an always on display, tap to wake and other crazy innovations! It’s super cool to see features like that evolve over time :)
Man, I *loved* my G4 until I got the bootloop issue, got it replaced and then within a year the battery life just went to absolute shit. LG innovated like crazy but they had so many issues that just made a lot of their phones unreliable and even when those issues got resolved they never managed to recover from it.
i still use an LG G7 for the stellar (relatively, for a phone) headphone amp, and its a decent phone still up to this day. LG phones are underrated and underappreciated
It's true. The iPhone 14 (non pro) is almost identical to the 13 with 2 extra GB of ram and the 13 was practically the same as the 12 with minor performance enhancements...
I'm not an apple user most of the time, but the dynamic island thing is genuinely so cool to me. One of the rare times apple has actually added a feature instead of removing them in recent years.
That and Magsafe, their next move is to remove all ports, and I feel like Magsafe is going to also implement data transfer. I'm just waiting for improvement to Bluetooth quality since they removed the headphone jack. It's been the same for years.
i like how they made IOS 16, more "one hand friendly" on the lock screen. Moving notifications to the bottom. But then make EVERYTHING go to the very top so its almost impossible to one hand it because of this "dynamic Island". However i like the implementation and idea.
Agreed. They confirmed that moving everything to the bottom is much better for reachability by releasing IOS 16, but then had to move interactions IN THE SAME MOMENT to the top for the iPhone 14 pro? It’s hilarious how people don’t realize how stupid it is. It may look kinda cool, but it’s by no means a “feature” that couldn’t have been done at the bottom 🤷🏽♂️ On top of that, the island is placed much lower than a normal notch. For me, that alone makes the pro version inferior.
LG was an extremely innovative company when it came to phones, trying new things all the time and having other phones adopt what it has done proves that, sad that they no longer make phones
@@henrylam92 oh yeah they were, e.g. the Wing. totally not a concept that should have been a released phone, it was a scenario no one wanted his phone to cover.
I think it might be better if the dynamic island can display notifications as well, like the notification just pops out from the pill instead of a separate box like the one shown in the video
You could change what it included and even rolling different features. Hey, it's iPhone, what you thinking? For that price, it shows your friends girlfriend secrets, what he even haven't seen, if he uses some android.
I was gonna wait for the 16 to upgrade because I want usb c but the 15 is limited to 2.0 speed and I know for a fact that apples gonna be all “we have completely innovated the charging port and made it 100x faster”(upgrading to the actual usb c standard) when they announce the 16 But my 12pro is shattered on the front and the back and the charging port barely works and it’s not gonna last until the release of the 16 So I’m getting a 14 pro because it comes in purple
Reminds me of TopGear - that show was about cars but oh my, those visuals 🤤. Same here, the effort that goes into making a seemingly simple phone review 🥹
Love the LG mention. It’s a shame that they were so slow with updates, because their hardware was always great and innovative. Thinking that they might not release a new phone ever again… I’m actually planning to buy some of them just for “collector” purposes
Yeah, me too actually.. think I'm gonna get the G7, the V50 S.Korean maxed out version, if I can find it somewhere (from what I understand, it's supposed to have the best DAC of them all, according to "Juan Bagnell" ("Some gadget guy"). Then the V60 with the extra screen case and the "LG Wing", just because it's so bizzar and too fun to play with, lol..😁 Also getting all the old Pixel phones. I.e. the old ones.. So all the way up to the Pixel 5a (except for the Pixel 5 and the small sized Pixel 1 and 2). Well that's my two cents! Best of luck with your "hunt"!!👍👍🦶
@@Superknullisch I have every Pixel. I highly recommend them all, but really I'd just start with the 3plus and go up from there stop at five then get the 7.
I was an early adopter of the LG v10. The second screen, removable battery, stitching the front and back camera images made it highly appealing for me. The design was great as well. The battery life though was not. Glad for the shout out to this under-rated device!
I do miss the second screen from LG V20. That was easily one of the best implementation of widget on any phone. It served as Always on Display and widget at the same time
I feel like a lot of people like the 12 and 13's design. However, I feel like some of those people also don't like how it's so flat that it feels sharp.

LG was so underrated but novel in many of their designs. The LG V10 was a great phone. It was an absolute missed opportunity that they couldn't build off the platform. Curve displays, multiple cameras, notebook-like phone....LG was so creative.
LG produced some amazing phones, still use my lg g6 from time to time. Shame they left the smartphone game, same with HTC. HTC one m8 was a god tier phone for its time.
I just upgraded to the 14 Pro w/512 from an 8 Plus w/64. Yep - an 8 and it was still working with some inconvenience but worked fine. 14 is wicked fast …. From what I had.
Thanks for mentioning LG came up with "Dynamic Island" concept 7 years ago with the LG V10. LG took many gambles and had some really cool stuff on their high end phones. Sure some things were a miss but when they hit, they hit hard. They're already missed.
I'm very curious if a rough rollercoaster would set off the crash detection. That is pretty much the only thing I think could trigger it without a real crash.
Theoretically a rollercoaster shouldn’t trigger it. Because the phone measures high g forces of a sudden stop. Which should be way higher than those of a rollercoaster or fast spinning. But thats just a guess. Im no expert.

The funny thing with the dynamic island is that it clearly started out as a way to camouflage the notch yet they ended up making a complete feature out of it that could've been developed and implemented in the absence of a notch.
Yea, Android hardware is already heading towards no notch/invisible camera hole. I'd still enjoy an interactive notification bar like this! Competition is good.

Whenever I hear about satellite modes from US-based reviewers it reminds me of how good their general coverage must be... I live in Australia and it would be epic here! So much of Australia has no coverage and I literally take expensive GPS beacons with me on big hikes just in case. I can't wait to get satellite coverage here.
Literally have to take my inreach mini 2 with me everywhere here in Aus. We do have alright satellite coverage here no where near the US due to a small market. But between a new iphone and the Starlink dish (RV use) that ive ordered, im gonna be pretty set for 4x4 travels.
I really love the dynamic island, wish they did a sort of dynamic notch for the regular 14 because the dynamic part is purely software, but this is outstanding and i love it!
Upgrading from the 8 Plus to the 14 Pro and I'm very excited for it. I probably waited longer than most.. I would've upgraded to the 13 Pro but got lazy, but the difference is big for someone like me. I've never had a phone with Face ID. I'm even amazed by that lol.
Massive props to mkbhd & the editors... Their slight zoom ins to footage are just so nice. Apple like (and I'm an android person)! What a dream to watch.

Watch them remove the port and say portless is the new future and more environmentally friendly or something. Just like removing the sim tray which I’m disappointed about. Edit: changed sun to sim 😅
i'm just wondering how much the Dynamic island actually add to the experience. i had to buy a new one because the old one died, but with IOS16 the whole island thing is pretty much the same, only now when you are watching something that pill is always going to be there. very annoying and wished they just kept it at the top of the screen
I really hope the dynamic island isn't copied! We've spent the last few years making selfie camera close to invisible with small holepunch cameras, and I'd hate to have a massive chunk of my screen taken up by a floating widget just because Apple did it.
Yes, the Dynamic Island is complete trash. It's more intrusive than the prior Notch and is just Apple making lemonade out of lemons. How much is Apple paying Influencers to promote that design flaw. Steve Jobs is rolling around in his grave.
As an 11Pro user I considered upgrading but decided to hold off for now. One thing I liked about apples new update was that you can use your iPhone camera on your Mac for better quality and the whole top down view (still don’t get how it works but that’s super cool). That’s one thing I want to learn more about.
Interesting! I want to look into that too. I still have the iPhone 7plus, and I will likely upgrade next year. I wonder if Apple will sell app suites, a collection of apps with a subscription fee. & I wonder if Apple will create irl membership perks, based on the iPhones you own.
Don’t feel obligated to upgrade frequently. To apple’s credit, iPhones from the 6s on have had really long lifespans. I didn’t upgrade my 6s to a 12 until April
Just upgraded from my iPhone SE 2nd gen. Battery life increase is a game changer. Pro motion is a game changer. Screen size is a game changer. Camera system is a game changer. Dynamic island is neat. IPhone SE feels like the first iPhone now
This is cool, a very good and understandable upgrade. I never understand why people upgrade every new release though, especially since nowadays the differences between last and new gen iPhones are barely noticeable
Marques is hands down the best and most consistent reviewer on this platform. I’ve been watching for years and I’m just in awe of how he continues to push the bar.
MKBHD has the highest production quality but I like a lot of smaller channels better in terms of getting new information or interesting analysis. This channel is pretty graphics, a cool dude and easy watching.
in an extremely consumerist environment, where influencers are a walking advertisement at this point and we are all pushed to always have the latest and greatest new gadget, your candidness and honesty is greatly appreciated. you are one of the biggest tech youtubers and you’re constantly getting deals from the big brands and stuff, it would be easy for you to just push ppl to buy this new device but you still take the time to be frank & direct and state the honest truth; no matter how hard brands try to push us to buy their latest product; the *average* iphone 11 or later user wouldn't really notice a big difference between their current phone and upgrading to the 14 pro, no matter how cool that new shiny phone is. thanks for your honesty and great review as always
Great comment too. Marques isn't the most unbiased reviewer out there when it comes to iPhones, but he's definitely much more neutral compared to the various other tech channels that have an Apple bias.
I will be keeping my red cracked iPhone se 2 and saving $1100. Still does everything this new phone can do. And I can take a nice vacation with that money.
I’ll be honest, the Dynamic Island felt like the only new feature from my 13 PM and even that is very minor. I don’t think you need to change phones these days for at least 2-3 years and with a battery change, even longer.

With the dynamic island - I'm wondering if the 'touch' will interfere with the physical sensors / cameras? The complete omission of updates to Siri continues to surprise me. Great review overall Markus - you make awesome content.
As much as I find these small improvements over the 13 wicked cool...I think I'll hang on to my 13 pro until a USB C iPhone comes out. Not sure if I'm alone in this, but I am genuinely surprised the 14 wasn't the phone to finally ditch lightening.
I believe the next iteration of iPhones - the 15 - will have an increase in storage to allow for 8k video (and make full use of the new 48mp camera) and USB-C to increase export speeds.
They will go portless before they go USB C. I too have been waiting for a few years for USB C to come to the iPhone but at this point I'm convinced it just won't happen.

The LG V10 and V20 had a smaller secondary screen that provided quick access to specific apps, music controls, notifications, etc. It did what the iPhone dynamic island does. I loved that feature. The LG V10 and V20 are my all time favorite android phones based on functionality and aesthetics. Too bad they had flaws related to hardware and now LG doesn't make phones anymore.
I'm actually still using my v20, the loss of features never really made getting a new phone worth it to me, Especially since I want to keep the removable battery
Many reviewers bash the always on display for being too bright and mistaken it for still being on. I switched from android to the iPhone 14 Pro space black and in combination with the Omber leather case and the standard background with the always on display, the phone looks really gorgeous on my desk. Give it a chance to get used to!
Its interesting, because Android seems to be focussing more on getting rid of the notch. I don’t know if it makes sense to copy apple or not, its a very apple thing, the ✨dynamic island✨
That's what I commented just now. ZTE is leading the way with under display cameras, and I wasn't very hopeful cause they're not famous, but then Samsung started doing it with the fold, so I think we're good!
'Already having' a feature doesn't mean that it's equally good as Apple has implement it, just like Marques and the vast majority of reviewers have mention before. And this time around the difference is not only software-wise, Apple has made a big upgrade to the accelerometer which lets it calculate massively more g-forces, making VASTLY more accurate and reliable for the detection of a crash.
Ive seen Marques’ around, but I’m not really into tech channels. That being said, I’m upgrading my phone this month and with the 5-10 videos ive seen I’m genuinely impressed with the video quality. Also i just trust this dudes opinion
Apple is very smart with their product. I haven't seen a single person who said how not removing the notch is basically stalling for other iphones that'll remove the notch in the future. Imagine if they removed the notch then apple would've missed out on 2 possible I phones .
Yo fam I’m a small content creator, and I make a variety of entertaining reactions, vlogs, and a range of other content and I’m still working On quality But I guarantee you will find something you will enjoy 🙏🏾💙
To me personally the true limit of the new camera is that they did not implement a 5x optical zoom. This is only partially replaced by cropping a more detailed 48mp photo but it still lacks for all those that like me don’t usually take photo of people.
The reason they didn’t implement a 5x optical zoom is because that amount requires dedicated periscope lenses technology. Its coming with the iPhone 15 pro ultra next year according to rumors. Digital zoom does not equal optical zoom. 3x optically is all you can achieve without need special side stacked lenses hardware.
Can we just appreciate the attention to detail and editing through out the vid these TikTok dancers that do nothing and put Minmal effort in they get millions millions of views but mkhbd is working in an environment that noT that many people watch but he still manages to clock millions of views
Agree completely. I'm about ready to upgrade my 12, but USB-C and more zoom (5x would be fine) is a top request so hopefully the 15 next year is the thing.
kinda late but something i observed when using my 14 pro max while snowboarding this winter is that it is fairly easy to trigger crash detection when skiing/snowboarding. i imagine this is because you can go from like 30mph to 0mph quickly and sometimes take some hard slams in the process, but it still went off like 9 or so times throughout the season, so be careful lol
The only thing that bothers me a lot with iOS 16 is the battery icon is always filled in regardless of the battery percentage, I feel like now that youve gotten used to having to reading the battery percentage of how much it’s filled in it will take a while to get used to that
Kinda stupid because you literally see the percentage number which is THE POINT of it! When you don't want that you can just turn it off and see the normal battery icon. It's just the best way to do it because if they mixed both it would be pretty much impossible to read and make both useless.
My only concern with the dynamic island is that people will definately have a dump of fingerprints on their front cam and gotta clean their camera everytime they wanna take a selfie..
It makes sense to have the multitasking features out of reach of the fingers. If the dynamic island was at the bottom of the phone, people would keep triggering it accidentally. That said, I think that the intention wasn’t to design a new multitasking feature, but to make use of the new design in the best possible way.
Obviously, because it isn't a true multitasking solution. It only works with some apps that take advantage of it while running in the back. A lot of apps will never show up there. It's just a happy coincidence. If they intended for it to be a multitasking feature they would have marketed the hell out of it.
no it doesn't. having it right at the top middle is extremely hard to reach with one hand, especially if you have the bigger version. it's awkward at best and completely unreachable at worst if you have small hands
@@kevinjohnanand Ultimately, all Tech companies are aiming for a proper implementation of Under-display selfie camera as the notch/cut-out are not the answer for a full screen display. Personally, checked the latest Fold and Samsung is almost there with the under-display camera. In one or two generations, Samsung will perfect it. Then Apple will release it naming it "Submarine Eye" or something like that
I assumed the A16 comparisons to the A13 were Apple's way of tailoring its keynotes to driving real-world user sales/upgrades instead of catering solely to the tech-inclined. Most people don't care about yearly processor changes because they're not upgrading their phone yearly - but Apple wants to speak to those on a roughly 3-year upgrade cycle, hence the 2019 chip comparison.

The quality of the video is incredible. The focus when you hold the phone to show the camera, when you hold the phone @16:50, the transitions, the intro (man, the intro !)... Awesome.
Great review as usual! One note though. 24p in Cinematic video mode was the new frame rate introduced with the iPhone 14pro, not 30p. The iPhone 13pro always had 30fps in Cinematic video mode. In fact, it would only shoot in 30p which was always kind of strange since it is called "cinematic" mode which would imply a 24p standard. Now they've finally added 24p and 4k to Cinematic videos which should make all of us filmmakers and wanna-be filmmakers happy.
Just upgraded from an XR and it’s totally worth it. Could’ve got another 2 years out of the XR or even more, but my battery degraded to 80% of it’s original capacity and the phone started to feel a bit sluggish. The 14 pro is (obviously) so much better and a worthwhile upgrade.
This is because the feature is a workaround as they could not hide the notch completely. Personally I think, that just making a true i-shaped notch with pixels between the camera hole and remaining sensors would have been also fresh-looking and with no necessity to customise software and usage patterns, add hardware to service this area.
It’s cool what they did with the integration of hardware and software with the island…but honestly it seems more invasive than the notch. Wasn’t that the point of people wanting the notch removed? Granted I haven’t used it, but from everything I see it looks worse when watching a video/etc…I don’t think it will last long. I think it is just a stepping stone to completely removing it.
When the notch first appeared, I though it would be more annoying that it actually turned out to be. Most video when viewed wide, doesn't go to the edges anyway, so no problem there. The UI had mostly been designed around it anyway, so again no major issues there. Dynamic Island just seems to call attention to this mole. I don't care for it. Maybe a mis-step like Touch Bar on the Mac?
I personally think this is worse, you now have a black surface stretching further down into the screen. I’m happy it at least looks more aesthetic than before, but that’s all it really is, aesthetic- not productive. It’s a good job on the marketing team and that’s really it. I bet the design engineers argued the other way, but marketing was able to convince them otherwise.
As a android user, I've been tempted by the battery life of the 13 pro's and now the 14 has actual solid improvements over the 13, but the one thing that just kills it all is the lightningport... Usb c is just so usefull to be able to charge your speaker, controller, headset, laptop and phone with 1 cable is amazing. Ashame that they think differently.
Switching from Android to iPhone isn't a challenging process, the lighting port is a major issue to overcome. If you've got top of the line android and more familiar with it, stick with it.
There is still some years for that honestly. Sure, it will be permitted by law to have USB-C soon, but i still have some older products that have micro-USB ports. (Even some newer products still ship with that shit). So for now, they can get away with it.. hopefully just for the 14, USB-C is needed on the 15. But in some years, it will be great to charge even your shaver or any eletrical device for that matter, with the same cable, not just the usual stuff.
Hopefully they remove the port all together. I haven’t used my port on my 12 Pro and 13 Pro. Won’t be used on my 14 Pro neither. Everything have wireless charging now. Better water resistance.
A few years ago I made the decision of switching phones every 3-5 years (depends) and always going for the largest storage option available.. No regrets yet.
I’m still on the 8plus & there’s nothing that I’ve wished it had except a better battery life (bc mine is at 75% max capacity vs original capacity) & I recently cracked the screen after daily use since launch. So now I’m on the fence, upgrade to 14 pro, fix the screen/replace battery on my 8plus, or just get something like the 13 since it’s cheaper than the newest model. Don’t take/edit pics or vids & I legitimately only use social media apps, iMessage & what’s app.
That's apple sheep for you. Two videos on iPhone but none even showing how bad it would looks like when watching video. Purposely avoiding the bad point don't they? Quality? Unintended or intentionally avoid showing the bad point of watching video with the huge pills making it not a fair and good content.
I think it's quality only in term of production and not content. Ffs, he's talking like they did something mind blowing about things that we all know for a week already.

One problem with dynamic Island, I can see people complaining in the future is that constantly touching it to open apps will leave finger marks on the camera lens, which will of-course effect the selfie quality.

@@vitalpandya7908 it means that it's a little bit easier to open up, but iPhones are notoriously anti right to repair. A perfect example is what they did to the camera module where they soldered a chip onto the camera module which makes it so that if you try to swap to identical camera modules on two identical iPhones, you'll end up experiencing glitchy behavior. You could technically desolder the chip off of the old camera module and solder it onto the new camera module to replace your broken one, but it's so difficult to do so that it's unviable for a repair shop to do that and charge a reasonable price. Apple likes to pose as if they are for people's rights or repair while they actually do everything they can to stop it so that you go and buy a new device since that is their main source of revenue.
@@amizan8653 so parts are matched up on the newer iPhones with serial numbers embedded into each component, it’s mostly to stop people using fake components for repairs and there are devices that you would plug the original and replacement screens/cameras etc and it will copy over the serial so that it functions properly
It’s mind bending that Apple still doesn’t offer real split-screen multitasking at least in their bigger Plus/ Max versions. That would be a real good reason for people to buy a heavier more expensive model. It would’ve been also nice, if the Pro versions supported the use of the Apple Pencil.
True, I find that feature extremely useful but I think it's more practical on tablets. On phones it's still good but not a feature that you would use frequently (on a phone).
well it would be very well implemented because of devs optimising the apps for split screen on ios, but i dont think that many people would use this, only in a very few scenarios i actually find split screen useful on a phone
Apple users and fans seem to be embracing it so far as I have read/ seen. However, as an iPhone user (11 pro max) I think my next upgrade is going to be Samsung. The screens cannot be beat and no obnoxious notch.
Man the intro ❤️❤️💕i am just so addicted to it, the way the dynamic island capsule got transposed to letter I in iPhone and the same curvature was maintained for all the letters, and similarly when the word PRO came 💕.... Marques is killing it day by day, the smooth transition, the 180 degree rotating shot, the macro/close up shot of the camera island 💕😍 marques dude u are killing it , hats off , bow down 🙌❤️

One year later and the title is correct. The 15 pros are a carbon copy of the 14 pros. Just with a newer processor with some titanium slapped on to the frame.
Great review! I think I’ll stick with my iPhone 11 Pro Max for now. It’s still kicking on and this still doesn’t feel like enough of a change to upgrade. Really hoping the next version has a USB-C port now that the rules are changing in the UK.

Yes. You’ll notice the 2000 nits of brightness outside for a split second before the phone overheats and iOS throttles the system turning the brightness straight back to dim dim
The Dynamic Island is cool, but it definitely does not need the cutout for it to work. I would have preferred them make the notch smaller, rather than moving everything down which makes it feel even bigger.
Yeah, I find that it's a bit too visible now. And when it expands to show you more activities, it just covers up the entire top of the screen, it feels like a large button on the screen which kinda offsets me

You've become my favorite phone reviewer. Aside from this, I just upgraded from my 12 Pro Max to the 14 Max, and I love it. The Dynamic Island is fun! and definitely the camera feels even better.. I've been taking more pictures than I've ever had lol Thanks for a great review! :D
The insane aspect is really how this iPhone 14 makes my over 3year old S10 look so futuristic with its minor bezel and single hole punch camera. I just ordered a new otter box defender case and screen protectors because I have apparently bought peak tech with this phone, I could only loose ports and options upgrading today.
Good way to make yourself feel better about your purchase from years ago and the fact that you still have it tells me you’re low on money and didn’t invest wisely. Be gone, peasant

As an S22 plus user, I really only like the utility for the dynamic island for map directions, and though I'm sure more things will come later, I'll still prefer a non obstrusive hole punch.
I have the 11 and will be getting the 15 pro max when it comes out… my 11 is giving up early bc I’m clumsy & it has taken 2 trips to the toilet 🤦🏾♀️ think it would have survived me waiting for the 16 if I could have keep it in my hands more
MKBHD rarely makes a mistake but here it is: It wasn’t clear when you said cinematic mode added for 30fps. They added support now for 4k@30 now. Earlier it was just 1080@30fps on 13 pro. Additionally, they added support for the actual cinematic frame rate i.e 24fps as well which I found would be much more useful. 😄
Actually, he's taking a dig at the fact that up until now, the definition of Cinematic according to Apple, and others, was shooting at 24fps. So, his quip was an in-joke for purists, saying that now that Cinematic mode supports 30fps, it's official, thanks to Apple that Cinematic can in fact be 30fps.
@@KrisHyman Except cinematic mode used to ONLY shoot at 30fps. That was the standard. The new addition is the 24fps support (and 4K recording at both frame rates).
Watching the close ups and seeing the fingerprints on the front facing camera while using dynamic island seems like it would be super annoying needing to clean that for pictures all the time. Or people who don't care will just have fuzzy/foggy pictures regularly.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fingerprint show up on a photo. Ever Unless your hands are absolutely disgusting, in which case having a dirty front camera will be the least of your problems, it literally won’t be a problem
I can fully understand you. A lot of people aren't going to understand how eSIM works right off the bat. Hell, some times it's a pain just instructing people how to even take out and put in a SIM card.
