I have a new appreciation for the iPhones, the 14 pro max in my case , a few days ago I was in a car accident out in the country where my car took a decent impact and was disabled , myself and a family member where shaken but ok , I immediately got out of the car to shake it off and look around, I got back in in the car , my iPhone already had rung emergency services and they where asking if I needed help to which I replied no I’m ok thank you , she took my name for the record and I hung up , about 10 seconds after that my phone rang again , this was another family member that my phone texted to say there was an impact detected with my location, again I replied I was ok and not to worry. This built in very polished emergency feature alone in my book deserves a bit of praise . I also had an android phone that detected the impact , a prompt came up on the screen asking if I had an accident, which I had to press a button to acknowledge, but that is as far as it got , the iPhone just did the business as soon as I did not respond in X amount of seconds without asking . Well done Apple !

I have chrome and google apps on my 14 pro max , and while using the google search feature several times I have been asked if I’d like to give Gemini a go , that might be an option for you if you want to see if it’s available in your country? I think it’s the more basic AI , but I dunno it may be worth a look ?

@@stanleysanchez2898 even the s22 series that was released in Jan 2022 got the AI features, but iphone 15 that was released in Sept 2023 is not getting those AI features. They could've given 8gb ram in iphone 15 and 15 plus as well, but they didn't because they are never consumer friendly and yet people defend that company. And i know what people who defend Apple will say "who cares about ai features?" If iphone fanboys just criticise their fav company, maybe they'll stop these anti consumer practices.

Apple is losing customers cause of dumbing down on previous Generation phones. How dare they skip 14 pro max on AI like it is nothing? It shows they all about the dough! They don’t care about the customer anymore. All the hype with the chips, on 14 pro max, or was it a lie? I wish steve jobs 😢😮could have seen this ?

Gonna keep my 15 pro max until at least the 17 comes out. So many small changes these days that aren’t worth upgrading every year. Great video!

You’re already thinking about replacing it when the 17 comes out. The differences will still be slim to nothing by the time 17 comes out as well. People who replace their phone every 2 years are just wasting money. And replacing every year is just outright ridiculous.

⁠⁠⁠@@ESKATEUKtbh no one can really predict whether the changes will be, and from the looks of it the 17 seems to be a decent upgrade from the leaks, but once again, one will have to wait and see whether it truly will be worth it. Many people have different needs for upgrading, whether it be 1 or 10 years. I too have the 15 Pro Max, and I will also not upgrading until at LEAST the 17, should the upgrades be sufficient enough for my needs.

@@ESKATEUKyour not wrong. Maybe 7 years ago this was the standard to upgrade every 2-3 year but now phones have 5-7 years of support so people can keep their phones longer. However, people will still upgrade early regardless.

Why are people so desperate to “upgrade”? Honestly what is the point, the phone will be 95% the same as what you’ve got. Then when you get it, you’ll just be feeling inferior again when the next phone comes out. It’s a vicious cycle that people need to step out of. You lot are replacing phones that are absolutely fine for no reason. They’re not broken, they’re not inferior. Yet you chuck them to the side and spend 1.5k on another one. It’s like upgrading your pc every single year that new tech is brought out. It’s a waste of money, and idiotic. Apple and other big phone manufacturers love it.

I have the 14 Pro. Thinking either the 16 Pro or 16 Pro Max. I hate the bigger size, but my near vision in my 40s isn’t what it used to be. I used to be a Mini fan. I might even go with a 15 Pro Max if there’s a sale.

Yes , the old eyes can be a bit of a factor and are in my case too , i`m in my 60`s and i always buy the biggest screen i can get my hands on , but i do like the big screens as well because i have pretty big mitts and large digits which absolutely sucks if you have to type on a narrow or small screen . Plus you get a bigger battery , and maybe im a bit weird , but i actually do like a bit of weight and a chunky case , rightly or wrongly , i have always felt weighty big solid devices have a bit more substance to them , i even prefer having a bit of bezel :) . @@ESKATEUK true and I thought about it but the addition of USB C was a sticking point for me. Also, I’m not buying a battery every 9-13 months because of a known battery issue. Never had this issue with any of the recent iPhones I’ve had. IMO that’s why I haven’t purchase the AirPod max yet… no usb C.

My iphone 14 Pro is almost one year old and still at 100%. What battery degradation issue are you referring to? The heat issue the 15 had at some point will hit battery life hard too. In the ende, it‘s not to expensive to swap batteries. But many opt for a new anyway.

14PM > 15PM anyday interms of yr over yr upgrade and will have 90% of features of even upcoming 16PM other than the camera !!! I've bought 14PM last yr after 6yrs of using 6s and its holding up quiet well in terms of durability especially after heavy drops it just ended up with very few scratches similar to my earlier 6s as I use my phone careless !!! but heard 15PM isn't strong enough to sustain hard falls though in comparison to previous stainless steel models !!!!

@@redeem5858 Apple intelligence ? sorry mate i dont share your enthusiasm for this feature set which imo is way , way over hyped , at least for an average phone user , if i need to write an email , i`ll just use my own brain and my own words , the summary thing could be handy , on occasion , i could use gemini on my iphone on chrome should i want it , my pixel 8 pro also gave me this option , i wasnt interested ...... i`m just not all that fussed with the AI BS mate as long as the phone does all the usual things well that phones should do , and my 14 pro max does that , in some ways it is better imo , case sturdiness as shown in a test , , do i need to spend another $ thousand plus bucks to get a very slight power increase and the AI stuff ? ..... i`m just not feeling it bud . If apple put a 3.5 mm headphone jack in it , to me that would be a feature of substance , AI just more software , big deal . But if you want it , all the best to you .

You know I picked up an S24 Ultra because I wanted to match my Deep Purple 14PM and I can confidently say I am perfectly fine waiting another year to get the 17Pro Max for Apple Intelligence. I personally am not that frustrated but for those who only rock one phone I feel for ya.

I have a 13 pro max and honestly my next upgrade will probably be a plus version. The extra battery life is a big bonus for me. Plus I rarely use the “pro” features so I don’t feel it’s worth the extra cost.

If you got the 15 pro max on release date it had shipped with ios 17. Apple released a software update since then to fix the problem. That was version 17.0.2. The latest ios version out now is 17.6.1. 18 will be released soon.

Nick, I have a question. I own the iPhone 15 Pro Max since November. I can say that I use my phone quite a lot. The battery health dropped at 90% . Is this normal ? Kinda I'm worried and thinking to upgrade to iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Battery degradation is normal especially if you’re cycling the phone a lot I recommend watching my video how I maintain 100 battery health to try to avoid faster drain, it is inevitable though. However at that rate you will probably need battery replacement by 2026 which is far less than a iPhone 16 Pro Max.

My sister recently got the 15 pro max and I have the 14 Pro max. When I saw my sister’s phone vs my phone, I literally see no difference. Both phones look the exact same, the only difference for me is the charger. I’m glad I didn’t update my phone in my opinion

It’s just as well. I will be upgrading in September but obviously with me living in the UK, we won’t be getting it, for about a year thanks to some EU even though we’re not in the EU anymore.

Why upgrade? Honestly what is the point, the phone will be 95% the same as what you’ve got. Then when you get it, you’ll just be feeling inferior again when the next phone comes out. It’s a vicious cycle that people need to step out of. You lot are replacing phones that are absolutely fine for no reason. They’re not broken, they’re not inferior. Yet you chuck them to the side and spend 1.5k on another one. It’s like upgrading your pc every single year that new tech is brought out. It’s a waste of money, and idiotic. Apple and other big phone manufacturers love it.

I'm really disappointed in Apple that the 14 pro max is not going to use the ai. I had the se models previous personally I didn't think the upgrade was all that special, larger screen was nice but the phone seems extremely heavy. My favorite IPhone was the 4s it seemed like major upgrade at that time. I'm wondering if I should jump ship when the Samsung 25 Ultra comes out. From the carriers I'm only seeing 500 dollar trade in for 14 pro max. I hope Apple sees these comments. I have 1 tb storage and the depreciation is astronomical. My other thought with disappointment from se to 14 pro max upgrade is to wait till iPhone 20 pro max comes out. My prediction is 16 pro max won't do much first issuance of AI still in experimental stage, the way they leave current models behind like there doing this time definitely does not sit well with me. I'm open to best suggestions as to ways to sell Iphones. I liked your video but I needed to vent over being left behind with an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I'm content with my 14 Pro Max. I don't care about AI and the cameras are decent. As I get older, I care less about the newest toy. Does what I have do what I need it to do? If the answer is yes, then I don't need the next 'bestest thing ever!' Battery health is still great and the speed is fine.

The 15 Pro Max has a much better display than the 14 Pro Ma; it’s the same resolution but looks brighter and sharper. I’ve grown to appreciate the Action Button. USB-C has increased continuity with my MacBook. I upgraded to the 15 Pro Max from 14 Pro Max.

My other half has just got the 15 pro max, I have 14 pro max. There is no doubt that the 14 pro max looks and feels more premium out of two. However the finger prints are annoying. The 15 pro max also is WAY hotter in the hand. My 14 pro max runs cool, my others half’s 15 pro max is always warm to hot. Camera on the 15 or max is a little better, not a huge improvement, but they’re both amazing cameras. And that Apple intelligence would have run fine on the 14 pro max. It’s just Apple being Apple trying to make their new phone look more appetising. There is no doubt a 14 pro max or even a 13 pro max could comfortably run it.
