not just the rounded edges actually makes it more vulnerable its also because the titanium is very hard and the glass is sensitive for the pressure, as well that they built the back of the phone differently the back glass has no metal against it as previous model did have for example.
Good point on the focal distance on the cameras. Got bothered by it after upgrading from the 12 Pro to the 14 Pro and was an added hassle when scanning barcodes like in MyFitnessPal. Was hoping they’d fix it or made it better on the 15 Pros but sadly they didn’t as what you showed here. Also appreciate how you showed the footage in ProRes log here. There is indeed a difference compared to shooting with the standard recording. Will still upgrade to the 15 Pro Max coming from the 14 Pro and will probably stay on it for a while till we receive better upgrades especially with the cameras. Thanks for your review on it in a filmmaker standpoint! :)
Me myself decided to get 14 promax because its cheaper and solid phone for 4 years. I have 0 regrets since I wanted 15 pro but 14 pro max cost the same but with a bigger screen and top camera still. I was ready for the 15 pro but so much issue right now and when I held 15 promax I was sold on a bigger screen
Man i am in love with my iphone 14 pro max. I upgraded from the 13 pro max bc the 14 pro max got a brighter screen (2000nits) dynamic island which is actually pretty awesome, and louder speakers. I didnt recieve one single downgraded going from 13 pro max to 14 pro mac other than the 14 pro max havin a slighty worse battery. If i go to the iphone 15 pro max, I lose my mute switch? Hell no, not yet lol. I love apples iconic mute switch. Every video i have seen shows the iphone 15 pro max being way easier to break compared to 14 pro max. the screen didnt get better or brighter........and the new usbc port is apparently slow and outdated, ima stick with the 14 pro max. Ill wait for first time ever lol. i usually always upgrade but i might hold onto 14 pro max for a while, i love that mute switch lol.
@@provideisrael1572wait for the 16, I’m upgrading from iPhone XS 😂 I know it’s old but still performing pretty well and I’m struggling to choose which one I should buy the 14 PM or the 15 PM or I should just wait the 16 .!!
I really appreciate your honesty All the other tech guys drool over this like it’s the best thing since sliced bread!! No need to get this if you have a 12,13,or 14 Not hardly enough difference to spend another 1300 dollars on
The information he gave in a previous video about changing the focal length from 26mm to 24mm was a game changer for me and I later confirmed how detrimental the change really is for faces, although better with landscapes, buildings and such.
Rhinoshields are THE TRUTH! I've used them for years. I dropped my Samsung down 15ft drop down a sewer in DC during Halloween. Was able to get the phone 5 days later and it still worked. I'm loyal for life for sure! Lol
Honestly no point of upgrading this generation if you own a 14, 13 or even the 12 at this point unless you got extra cash laying around or desperate to have USBC or 5x zoom, since the 14, 13, and 12 are still great phones. I upgraded from the 11 which I felt could of lasted 1 more year at most, but didn't want to pay for a battery replacement.
Maybe it’s in my head but I really feel like I can feel the difference in the width of the phone. It feels much better in the hand smaller and much lighter. I love my 15 Pro Max. I know there aren’t many differences this year but I just live how it feels 😍
Watched a lot of videos on this phone and the white balance tip was new! Solid. Apple is going harder on the pro features! Seems like we don't need a separate app now. Digging the lighter weight and usbc on this phone mostly
Upgrading from a 14 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max 🤡…….I’ll definitely pass. The difference isn’t big or ground-breaking enough in any shape, form or fashion. It never is in this case scenario.
I’m just glad i didn’t trade my 14 pro max to the 15 pro max. They almost the same. I still prefered the lightning charging and the stainless steel frame. I just check the antutu of my 14 pro max this year and the score is 1.4million. The phone still very smooth and the battery is doing good.
It’s not even just the rounded edges that’s makes the 15 pro susceptible to breaking. And the from screen is still pretty strong based on the drop test videos. The back is more likely to break because they mad the back easier to remove so it cheaper to repair. So there’s a trade off there. Also drop test videos aren’t realistic. Like who’s gonna bend their phone with that much force or drop a phone from that high. Seriously?? And who’s gonna drop their phone multiple times in a row consecutively that’ll weaken the frame quicker. To be fair the claims being made about the fragility of the phone is just nonsense.
My camera lens is scratched to crap because the protective lens broke. Apple quoted me at $500 as the whole back will need replaced at that point I was like screwit and and going to upgrade, plus my AirPods case is usb-c
Shoot. I found a deal on a new iPhone 14 Pro and “upgraded” from my 13 pro. I honestly don’t really see the difference aside from getting used to Dynamic Island
Upgraded from a 13 Pro to the 15 Pro (solely because of great trade in value for the 13 Pro). The 15 Pro is slightly wider which takes a day or two to get used to. The Action Button is a great addition and I use it to quickly switch to the camera. Quality of life improvements throughout, the 120Hz is surprisingly smoother and that can be attributed to the improved and noticeable speed of apps opening and the improved RAM management. The camera is noticeably better with the 48MP camera, 24MP shots are more detailed, the addition of 1.2x, 1.5x, HEIF 48MP, ProRaw 48MP, auto portraits on live photos, ProRes 4K 60fps for external drives. USB-C braided cable (although the speed is the same USB 2.0). The 15 Pro is noticeably lighter as well. I haven't really done much with the Dynamic Island, it seems gimmicky but I hope to make good use of it soon. I haven't encountered any heat issues, honestly that issue has been overblown, games, icloud background processes and extensive video recording always heated up iPhones. The heat for that is worth a mention but not the overblown excessive media coverage that happened as soon as Apple sent review units. Of course I have a solid Lamicall phone case on the phone, I use phone cases as standard but with the titanium shell scratching easily and the back of the phone being more fragile, a case is mandatory.
@@MissionControlTetBoth phones have similar battery life. The 15 Pro is slightly better but I received my unit on Tuesday and only charged it twice, with usage I expect it to last a similar time as the 13 Pro. 6 to 7 hours in my experience before needing a charge, but note that I maintain charge between 20 and 80%, less time using the phone before charging but the battery health lasting longer . For reference my 13 Pro has 97% battery health after two years of daily driver use, apparently some units had bigger batteries than the stated capacity and it looks like I received a 13 Pro unit two years ago with a bigger battery . If it helps, it takes 40 minutes to charge the 15 Pro from 20 to 80% using the 20W charger, which is similar to the 13 Pro. The 13 Pro started at that time period and now it takes 47 minutes to do the same with the same 20W charger.
_You forgot to mention the purpose of using raw, which is predominantly for professional photographers, who do their own editing or color grading of their photos; The reason that the file and raw is so massive it’s because it’s filled with so much color and contrast data that can be manipulated to a color graders desire_ _11:23__ People that are not professionals when it comes to digital media art Contant, such as videography, professional, photography, cinematography, or color grading, should not invest in the pro models at all; it would be a waste of money for them, unless they plan on crafting the trade_
100% iPhone 15 Pro Max is NOT “Stronger”…… sadly…. Glad to have my 💜 14 Pro Max. I’ll be keeping this until 18/19/20. They get released in Trilogy’s, *New Name* 11(11 Pro), [12(12 Pro) *new build*, 13(13 Pro), 14(14 Pro) *new Di build*], the 15’s GOT (Dynamic island), this is the NEW Era of Basic iPhone For the MASSES.
@@amstudio1166well some countries have slow and limited GB quota per subscriptions. Paying $ 8.10 usd for cable DSL and maxing out 3mb/s is insane for 250gb plan. So you're forced to manage your Internet usage.
First time i watch your channel, I like your way in putting everything together but you should write in the title should I upgrade because of camera because thats the most subject you focus about. For example: this year battery life is better and etc
I’m not the type of person that needs a new iphone every year … I’m totally fine with my iPhone 14 Pro Max the upgrades every year with Apple are so minimal it’s not even really worth it in my opinion for my self . I’ll be fine with this phone for the next three to four years . And then hopefully there’s a huge leap forward by that time. And if not, then I’ll just stay with this phone. I’m fine with that as long as I can.
Somehow i decided to switch from S23U to i14 pro max. The overall user experience felt more balanced. The most noticeable “downgrade” is battery life and the camera. The camera on iPhone is so terrible. And now that we know i15 is not much better. Apple really needs to get their shit together.
thank you for this video bc I am having a hard time making up my mind. I currently have and make content with my iphone 13 pro max but i wanted to upgrade to the 15 pro max my sister has the 14 and she says it isn’t worth it just get a 14 pro max 😩 still in between but this video helped immensely 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you thank you !
Im torn between the 14 pro max and 15 pro max. The 14 pro max is 20k cheaper than the latter, but I kinda want the better battery life and usb c on the 15 pro max. Is it worth the php20k(around $300-350) diff? (switching from Android btw)
iPhone 15 Pro Max is a little lighter, easier to hold in the hand, is more grippy - guess most of the changes are external (for the most part in my opinion) and yes I am aware of all the internal changes :)
Going from the 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max. The weight difference is significant. Maybe not on paper. But I went to pick up my 14 after a few days using the 15, and it felt so chunky. If you are concerned with weight I would say it’s worth it
The change from 26mm to 24mm in focal length maintained in 15 Pro is really a thing with people’s face. I tested in a store regular 15 vs 15 PRO, and 24mm isn’t good for faces. But why selfie cameras is even lower (23mm to below) and doesn’t affect faces? Do the focal length must be read in conjunction with other specifications? Thanks.
Good review I prefer what I have. Not planning on upgrading anything soon. Can someone tell me why IPhone video recording don’t have the option to pause a vid the resume where you left off..? Maybe then I’ll upgrade. 🤦🏽♀️
Hi. Thanks for the video. You said 48mp shots don't save the depth data, why is that? Did you just mean for jpeg but it saves it for raw? I've got the iPhone 13. Would you recommend me upgrading to 14 pro max or 15 pro max?
Great review...but as my wife said to me yesterday: I don't care, I just want the latest iPhone. I don't care about the photos or video...I work hard and I want the latest. (Voice of the people) as I Rolled my eyes and stick with the 14 Pro.
Idk about anyone else but from a 12 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max I notice how thin the bezels are every time I pick it up. It feels like I’m just holding a bezel-less display with floating content
How is the camera compared to the 14 Pro? I’m not a fan of the flat, cool, over sharpened photos from the 14 Pro and it looks like the 15 Pro is better
I will switch to iPhone from android, what do you recommend me, buy an iPhone 15 pro max or and IPhone 14 pro max cheaper? My main concerns are durability and the fact that there is not much difference for the regular user.
Did you already buy a phone? I have had all pro iPhones from the 12 Pro to the 15 pro and I’d say go with the 13 pro max if you want a phone that does 99% of what the 15 pro max can do at half its price. You can pick up a refurbished 13 pro max for $500, a 256 GB 14 pro max for $850 or a new 15 pro max for $1100. All are good but every iPhone since the 12 pro max has felt the same
Phones cost as much as computers, and some are just as powerful. Do you update your computer very year? The real question is, how much better is it compared to my iPhone 11.
