Im new to this. Do you guys use an equalizer with this dongles? Or just the pure audio? I was about to buy the 15 Pro Max, but I've read that iOS doesn't have system-wide equalizer support. I'm currently an Android user, and I use an equalizer. Is this not supported on iPhone? :(
Hey are we suppose to "allow Tidal to access the M15I(DAC)"???? I get that option Everytime I connect my DAC, on android. For some reason whenever I hear an MQA song, something glitches where I get no sound but there is power to DAC and DAC also shows the quality of sound going through.
Wow, today I was searching for any info about DAC support on iPhone 15, and suddenly found this video, thank you! Do you know if a basic iPhone 15 also supports the same as Pro?
yes, dacs always worked with iOS devices seamlessly including iPads. if you have lightning you can use that adapter for usb port. You just have much less clutter by using a usb c iPad or iPhone. The way iOS handles audio passthrough is no resampling, so its much more better than Android.
Hi, I have an IFI hip Dac 2, I connected to my iPhone 15 pro max, via usb c to usb c cable. However for me I couldn’t get it to work ? Also I didn’t have that headphone prompt as u, on your iPhone ? Any help for me to have my hip Dac to work please ?
I have the IPhone 15 Pro but compared to my streamer Eversolo DMPA6 master edition ,it is a very huge diff in sound quality. I guess for portable use it’s ok but it’s def not audiophile quality , far from it
I used to use my Fiio Mont Blanc plugged into iPhone 5 via 3.5mm headphone jack. Now that headphone jack is long gone and 10 years has passed, how is this “update” any better? I guess the only difference is that Apple Music streams better quality files.
I’m no expert but as far as I know, the lightning port and, more recently, the usb-c port bypass the phones internal DAC and gives you a digital bit perfect signal from the phone. A headphone jack would mean that the phone is converting the signal from digital to analog. Also, lossless and hi res lossless only work when you use an external DAC. I’m not sure why the phone’s DAC is incapable of lossless and hi res lossless but it could just be a business decision or space saving measure. I have no clue. I’m not sure that I can tell the difference between Bluetooth and hi res lossless.
Hello! I have an ibasso dc03Pro and I can’t adjust the volume through the iPhone 15, it turns out that all ibasso dc models where there are only + and - volume buttons cannot be adjusted through the phone?
It's just that before I connected this DAC for the first time, the phone showed a notification about what device I was connecting, and I selected "other device" instead of "headphones", is it possible that because of this, now I cannot use the volume slider of the phone with this DAC ?
@@ianfann I want to purchase KZ x HBB PR2 I saw some videos of this item(KZ x HBB PR2 ) and heard that KZ changed the tunning of the IEM and made it worse. therefore I asked you to retune the KZ x HBB PR2 I hope you understand my question
@@oficial-M.R.1977 Yeah with Apps and Workarounds not by default...when played through Tidal, Spotify or Apple Music it goes through the terrible resampling process..A 14 hasn't resolved the issue and has been confirmed by Darko. And I am speaking abt Smartphones not DAPs which bypass the resampling through a customized OS.
The iPhone is using only the amp not the dac on the dongles.Try neutron and usb audio pro and see if it will use both dac and amp on the dongles.Thanks.
@@DenzCasuelaIt can't. This person doesn't know how it works. The hiby DAC said 24/96 and iPhones internal DAC is limited to 24/48. I would like to see him explain this lol
@@Haydosapparently you don’t know what you’re talking about clearly and misleading others. Using a dongle/dac amp via usb c means entirely bypassing the internal dac/amp. Hence the processing will be handled on the dongle dac/amp.
@@hengyeewei1137 that's not what I said. I showed why it's not possible. I know that it's a digital output. Please read my comments correctly. I'm trying to ask the person that made the first comment what he means. Because it makes no sense
@@ianfann Using iTunes? I'd like to do it using a USB stick, not iTunes, and play music using third-party apps like Power Amp or USB Audio Player. THX
