I went from a XR to a 14 PM. While the PM is a step up; it is a "pig" to carry around due to its size and weight. Something I wasn't prepared for. May need to upgrade but step down the size to a base model or Pro.
Yea, i have the iPhone XR and I was debating between the 15 pm or 16 pm and I chose 16 pm because it’s better and won’t have as much thermal problems from the 15 pm and it will have better specs even by a lil bit😅I can’t wait for the release of the 16pm😊
It’s not worth it. Wait till the 17 or 18. I’m still using a 6s and don’t see a reason to upgrade. I have a 13pm I never use too...if it’s still supported by apps I don’t see the point in getting a new one.
@@9852323 battery’s cooked on my 12PM (I’m on my second battery) and it overheats way too easily in the sun. I’m ready to move on now that that Apple is taking the thermal protection a bit more seriously, screen is a bit bigger and USB-C is a thing. A ~1000mah increase on battery and 120Hz is a nice bonus too
i'm gonna upgrade for my 15. Battery life has been pretty awful plus I don't like how small this phone is

Have a 15 pro since launch last year & I’m completely satisfied with it. Won’t upgrade till another 5 years or so unless there’s major changes in the years to come.
Exactly 💯 TBH? I think I'm not interested in apple iphone or products I've seen s23 ultra are remarkable more easier to use. Plus all the customization
@@davidrubio6067 Samsung phones are good and I like them too but I like iPhone better. I like the simplicity of it.

@@johnathanwiggins_3.22 Yea, tbh there isn’t much difference when the new iPhones are coming out yearly. I upgraded to the 15 pro from the X as the 15 pro had a laundry list of features for me to upgrade. For me, it has to be a list full for me to upgrade and these minor improvements are not enough for me to upgrade every 2-3 years as most people do.
same here. from 13 pm to 16 pm. bigger and brighter ltpo screen, better battery, battery stacking, the super thin bezels, faster usb c charging are the reasons im going to upgrade this year
I'll be sticking to my iPhone 15 Pro, as I only just got it in April of this year! Might upgrade a few years later though! Also, did not expect a Sunday upload today! Great vid Aaron, informative as per always! :)
Should I skip this year? I have an iPhone 12. It works fine, a little slow. I want to see what they have next year, but next year I might want to skip till the iPhone 17. I am leaning towards getting the iPhone 16.
Nope, It’s still at 83%, I’m referring to the hardware itself. I use a MacBook Pro with an M3 chip and ProMotion daily, so I’ve become accustomed to the smooth screen scrolling. It would be fantastic to have a 120Hz refresh rate on my phone, along with a better camera, OLED display, and all the upgraded hardware.
currently using the 14 pro max 512 g and have loved it and had no isssues BUT i am really thinking of getting the 16 pro max do you think its worth jumping up to the new one ? cheers from Vulcan Canada
It depends on your thoughts about Apple Intelligence. As an owner of both 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max, only the 15 series and newer iPhones can take full advantage of Apple Intelligence.
Hi Aaron, happy birthday 2u 😊 from Frankfurt, Germany. Hope your day is excellent and funny, worth to remember. Thank you for the reliable latest news to smartfones and, by the way you are my favorite language teacher😁
I've been on a iPhone XR since release. I know the 16 Pro will be my next purchase. It will last me the next couple of years. Only reason I'm going to upgrade is because my XR is damaged.
I'm from India and hearing about Pro models will be now made in India It gives me real hope for a price decrease in them at around 1.2 Lacs for pro max
Planning to upgrade from an Xiaomi Redmi to an iPhone 16 Pro IF now that's a big if the battery life, camera quality, size and the new features are better than the iPhone 15 Pro 🙈🥲
Bigger screen sizes always intrigues me. I had no intention of getting the 16 Pro Max but since the screen is rumored to be 6.9 inches, I am intrigued. In late June/early July of this year, my iPhone 14 Pro Max sustained water damage and the insurance replaced it with a complimentary 15 Pro Max. Its only late August now and i’ve only had the 15 Pro Max for several weeks but I am eligible for an upgrade through my carrier so I might just use my upgrade eligibility on the 16 Pro Max.
I have a regular “base model” iPhone 14 with 86% battery health, I am *definitely* trading in and upgrading to the regular “base model” iPhone 16 (with some extra storage) in October or November through my service carrier.
Seriously considering getting a 15 Pro when the 16s come out. They’ve already been discounted on the UK Amazon Apple Store, so waiting to see if the price drops any further. Thanks for the content.
Hi Aaron, my iPhone went black the other day while I was just checking the time. It wasn’t dropped, didn’t get wet, overheated, or anything like that-it was just a regular night. The repair guy told me the screen was burnt out, and I believe him because the iPhone still made sounds and vibrated, but nothing showed up on the screen. I even tried restoring it, but nothing worked, so I ended up having the screen replaced. Do you think this could’ve been caused by the beta? iPhone 13 normal.
Also the capture button which is a capacitive button, Apple will likely put a feature where if you don't long press it or hold it for a certain amount of time, it would not open the camera app like the Action button similar to that.
Gonna stick with my 14 Pro for 3 more years. Just frustrating when I’ve spent $1,000 and no Apple Intelligence. Apple very well knew what they wanted with 15 Pro by not giving 8GB ram on the 14 Pro. So just gonna squeeze as many years as possible outta my 14 Pro…
@@Justmee10when it’s below 80% you just go to any certified repair Apple Store , and it’s usually 150$ or below for just the battery replacement, without Apple Care
@@Justmee10I would suggest just get the battery replaced I live in India and the cost of replacing the battery is ₹6000 for an iPhone 14 Pro which translates to $72 US. Which is absolutely fine. My battery health is down as well and I’ll get my battery replaced in 2026 January.
Time to upgrade from the XR to the 16 PM! I debated getting 15 PM but figured 16 has better specs and no thermal problems I’ve heard from the 15 PM from other people online… so I’m still waiting 😅
Hey everyone. I have an iPhone 12 128GB since 2021. It is a great phone and theres nothing to complain on the speed side. Battery is at 90% and it usually can last a standard day for me. I believe replacing the battery might do it for me but it is really tempting to finally move to a PRO model and since the 16 Pro will bring a larger display, higher refresh rate, improved battery and cameras, I believe it will be a great upgrade. With that said, it will cost 1100 dollars and by selling my 12 to Apple or someone else, it will make it a 900 dollars investment overall. My idea is that if I move big, then I will want to stick with my phone for at least 5 years, unlike now when I was upgrading more frequently. Can anyone advice if this makes sense considering the upgrade? I can make use of the camera system and I tend to have battery anxiety when I am at 3-4 PM and my battery is at 25-30%. I dont care much about refresh rate but the .2 inch larger display will be welcomed. Looking forward to your opinion
Currently have a 12 pro and will upgrade to a 16 pro. Looking forward to increased screen brightness especially outside. Some folk have said wait until the 17 comes out but you could wait forever if you keep worrying about what might happen in the future. Plus life is too short to just keep putting things off. Thanks for the videos you post…..from Greg in the UK.
*THE CAPTURE* Button should be like the ipad where with out having a button you can ZOOM IN out and by pressing itit would take s photo and a long press woyuld record, that be great!
The iPhone 16 Pro Max will be a nice upgrade from my iPhone 11. I’m only upgrading because I need bigger storage and because my iPhone 11 charging port is bad.
Everything sounds great. My only concern is the growth of size. I find that I’m having to use awkward one hand or two hands with a 14 Pro Max versus my 13 pro. More of a balancing reach that a grip touch is the best way to describe it. I really would like to see what the weights are going to be and what the battery life is going to be because honestly it’s gonna have to be a significant battery life and runtime to justify going bigger. If it’s all just to enable new OS AI features then I hope they give us the ability to turn it off and have stellar battery life if we choose. 9:46
because I've decided I don't use any of the pro features. I'm gonna go to the iPhone 16 this year so I went looking to see if Amazon had any cases out yet they do two of them and they both look similar to the Mickey Mouse headlock provided by the pro series, one shows a light colored phone and another one shows a dark colored phone through the back of the case. I guess somebody at Apple was jealous that the regular iPhone didn't have the Mickey Mouse look like the triple camera pro phones do lol
I am currently using an s22 ultra, but I am looking forward to seeing what the regular iPhone 16 will be like. As much as I love my phone, I hate the size. Might be tough leaving 120hz, though, if 🍎 really doesn't update the regular 16 to at least 90hz. They don't even need to call it pro motion. Fluid motion would be a dope name. I'm keeping my chin up, but I'm expecting for the worst, unfortunately, lol.
Hopefully the camera button can be disabled or at least not to be easy pressed. I can’t figure right now how I will be able to hold my phone in my hand without pressing accidentally that side button. The power and volume buttons are cleverly placed to the top of the phone where I’m less likely to hold / squeeze on sides.
probably gonna get a 16 base model ngl, i prefer the camera layout there and i dont rlly use the pro features anyway so no point wasting my money there. im just thinking if i should get a 16 or 16 plus
I will be sticking to my 15 pro max. Mainly because I got it in April and by next April I may as well wait for 17 pro max. Also no major upgrades this year it seems.
I just got the iPhone 15 Pro Max actually a week ago. People asked me if I’m nuts why didn’t I wait for the iPhone16? I got $830 credit for trading in my old phone. lol I’m nutty like that
Hi yes I cannot wait to purchase 1phone 16 pro max but perplexed as I needed to know more about duel SIMS which I they have I think have now sealed so how are they then loaded as the. 2 sims can so useful ! & how much will the 2TB VERSION be priced cheers BRIAN
I’m going to buy the 16 Pro Max in hopefully the 2tb . I currently have the 13 Pro Max 1tb It be nice to have the Dynamic Island . It’s not a new feature but it be something new for me.
im on a 15 pro, but i think i may have to upgrade, battery life has been terrible, and my phone is constantly overheating, Im going to wait for reviews and see how the 16 pro max is and if those issues are resolved
