Watching this on my 16 Pro Max, again with day to day use, not much difference between the 13 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max, but it’s CPU intensive tasks like video rendering and gaming performance where you’ll see the real differences.great comparisons Nick.

I just upgraded to the 16 pro max from my 13 pro max. Even with my 13 pro max battery being at 87% health the battery life on the 16 pro max was no better and nothing on that phone made me “excited”. So i returned it, paid the $55 “open box” fee and learned a valuable lesson, if you own a 13 or above “pro” series phone and are a normal everyday person, you shouldn’t upgrade. Except in my case, Im upgrading to the Pixel. I played with it in store and it is such a snappy, fun and vibrant phone.

Let's be honest, if battery is fine and phone is not physically broken, it's still 90% the same phone. People should spend more resources on their family's wellbeing and less money on piece of glass.

What people spend their money on is their choice rather that is fiscally responsible depends on their circumstances, however I do agree the 13 Pro Max have plenty of life left in it. But to reduce the iPhone to a piece of glass is not quite the whole story. If someone is coming from a 13 Pro Max 128GB wants more storage, battery life, better cameras and AI features plus more ram to extend them into the future, they could sell their 13 Pro Max to cover a substantial amount off of the 16 Pro Max and have an iPhone that can carry them years into the future with latest tech. However if they want a radical change better to wait until the 17 Models

I just jumped from 13 pro to 16 pro. While 13 can do 95% of things that 16 can, it is very nice to have a battery that lasts as long as 15 pro max, have a better camera for video, usb c (finally), and Dynamic Island, which is actually a nice thing. Skipping 2 generations makes the amount of features you gain much bigger but 13 can definitely stay a beast till the next redesign with 17 hopefully

Aight, I'm gonna say it. The 13 Pro Max is the true successor of the iPhone 6s+. It is the be(a)st value right now because everything tanked the test of time all these years. In my country you can get a brand new 13 Pro Max for $550-$600 while the 16 Pro Max cost $1500+ for the base storage.

Anyone with an iPhone XS Max or newer shouldn't really feel the need to upgrade. But I know people with even the 12/13 will think about upgrading. I have the 13 pro max and I've used the 16 pro max and it didn't feel at all like a different phone. I say stick to XS max or newer, because nowadays, the phones are so similar and smartphone tech is peaking, that it's better to stick to the oldest phone that supports software updates. Thank you Nick! I depend on you for a lot of information, I have the exact same iPhone 13 Pro Max Alpine green 256 gig with 89% battery health remaining. It’s always had a screen protector and been in case since the day of purchase and runs buttery smooth. Was considering the iPhone 16 Pro Max but the dynamic island, capture button and action button is not a big deal for me. I am visually impaired, so the smaller bales I’d never noticed. I don’t play any games just texting, RU-vid Facebook, and phone calls. For me personally I don’t see no benefit of upgrading besides a little faster, phone, and being new. You always deliver and give excellent content.. 👏🏻👏🏻

My Face ID on my 13 Pro Max doesn’t work anymore and my battery is done for. I’m going to upgrade because I really don’t see Apple doing anything crazy next year or even the year after that. I suppose they could dip their toes into the foldable market but they would charge 1700+ dollars for something similar to the Samsung and I’m not even really interested in that kind of hardware anyways. The AI stuff is cool but I’ll be able to do that with the 16 so 🤷🏻‍♂️
