yeah mine got the same problem. its can't charge when its a bit hot. need to cool down a bit then power off. its charge.

thank you for your answer! iv noticed that the brown color of the board is gone because of the rust !! even so the iphone will work again if install the resistors?

wait... u said its not charging. i suppose the phone its still coming on. if the phone is dead, u have more issue there

phone turn on, shows charging but doesnt charge! i can put the phone in recovery mode! and i can use it with but wont charge!

check/replace the charging port?

10X for fast-reply ... could you tell me please, how durable is this U2 Chip replacement. I have a 5S which it seems to have the same problem, it's charging only with 500mA at 4.14V and only with some cables. For example with original apple cables woun't charge at all, only with some replicas...and allso drains very fast, doing nothing drains about 7-8% /hour only with 3/4G active. Do you think is only that chip that is causing this problems? (Excuse my english if i made some mistakes)

4.14 its not ok, check your cables or power adapter. Be sure your usb power meter show you 4.8V-5.2v, also be sure you have a genuine apple plug power adapter.The 500mA can be a result of 4.14 v
