iPhone 6 / 6s / Plus: Home Button Stuck, Sticky, Unresponsive, Wont Work, Broken- 3 Fixes!!! 

well my home button doesn't work at all and i don't know why i mean it was working and then suddenly it stopped working which my iphone is new i just got it 2 or 3. months ago

the 1st one worked perfect!! I was very sceptical I'm not going to lie but it has literally just worked 20 or more consecutive times - before this I had to press it up to 10 times for it to work ONCE!!!

So I tapped it and my home button fell out

Rubbing the alcohol on the home button fixed my phone, I would recommend that method, thanks a lot😃😁

correction on the third method. You actually have to go to the home screen and click the home button 3 times which you CAN NOT DO If your hme button doesn't work..

My home button is literally stuck pressed down and Siri activates every 5 seconds

It didnt fix my home button but at least now my touch id is broken and stopped working 😃

Take a small piece of cloth, some alcohol, pure alcohol of any kind, KEEP the phone upside down, rub circular motion around and press the button down, MAKE SURE you don't use too much alcohol. It'll evaporate very quickly so don't worry about the internals. My home button WAS somewhat clicky, You could press it down sort of half way, and it felt kind of cheap because you could press it two different ways, THIS DOESN'T SOUND LIKE IT WORKS BUT TRUST ME IT'S MAGICAL. I didn't think it would work, then I tried it.

Option 3 is a life saver for me. With things locked down during covid 19 pandemic and financial crunch... I can delay going for a new phone by opting for this option

Assistive Touch was my final resort. Thanks for posting this video, now I don’t have to spend money on a new phone! ☺️

This is vey helpful. My home button is slow to respond. It takes several trys. My repairman said $45. I am going to use your third suggestion. I have the assist button on my screen now in case I need to use the home button assist.

Thanks a lot brother, your solution to clean home button has worked for me. I tried cleaning with alcohol and swab from outside but it didnt work. Then i disassembled the screen and removed the button from its socket and cleaned it from inside with same technique of swab / alcohol (very little amount) and then the button started working. In my case touch id was proper but clicks didnt work earlier.

First method worked, and I stop video after that moment, ty bro!

okay i was about to give up until the second one, my moms home button was responsive after i used a q-tip and rubbing alc. she uses her phone while her hands are dirty which explains a lot lmao

That accessibility mode ROCKS( it justified my issue was the button... I got my charge port dirty and cleaned it with degreaser and simple clean.. well it worked for the charge port but i may have shorted out my home button.. just prior to your video i got some rubbing alcohol to clean this with... long story short i removed the home button and cleaned it from the backside... make sure if needed people google how to remove iphone home button its simple but you MUST use the Right tools.. dont strip out the screws or u will regret it.. I got a kobalt kit designed for iphone /cell phone repair at Lowes. anyways a good cleaning with the q-tip on the backside of the button and its works better than new...

i dropped my phone 2 times while i was in a store and now when ever i press my home button it doesn’t work but it still clicks also my power button works but it won’t shut off if i hold down the button.

I tried cleaning the button method as you mentioned but without the alcohol. I had some success because it will momentarily work upon one of the clicks, but now it is not working out all. Would you recommend trying with the alcohol?

The first method where you suggested going into an app & holding the power button then holding the home button worked for me. My home button wasn't working properly since it would only actually register the click very rarely. Thanks for the quick tip man!

Can I use hydrogene peroxide?

The third method literally saved me! Just put a very small amount of alcohol in ur finger and gently do a circular motion around the button. And use a cotton swab with tiny amount of alchohol! Thankyou man! Godbless

Thanks mate the second technique worked for me so I tried it on my power button and that also worked

my home button had some problems where it would like crack. whenever i pushed down on the button another little crack would be felt. i think it was dust or something but the. the other day it got smashed down and i used this method (both the qtip and the finger ) and it works!

Guys if you are stuck on RU-vid just connect you earbuds in and double tap your mic (hopefully yours have on) then say “Siri open settings” then there you can open assistive touch :)

Actually worked wow. Had to put a bit more pressure than I thought to loosen the home button up, but the q-tip and rubbing alcohol works wonders

and it gives me a message saying unable to activate touch ID on this phone what should i do ??

Do not use the alcohol Method just tried it and the right bottom corner is now a different color than what it should be

My button felt heavy when I pressed it and I did the first hack and it works 100% recommend
