iPhone 7 Plus Cinematic 4K Video w/ DJI Osmo Mobile - THAILAND

In 2016 I went to Thailand for 2 weeks and took my new iPhone 7 Plus to shoot some cinematic 4K video with it. There are definitely limitations to shooting on a camera like the iPhone. With this piece my goal was to work within those limitations and still try to create a beautiful video that shows off the landscape and culture of the country.

Stellar shots. I do most of my videos with the same setup (Osmo mobile + iPhone 7 plus) but I mix in drone footage from my Mavic Pro. This video is a perfect reminder of how you can create a high-quality production with affordable equipment and some know how.

Wow ... this was beautiful. I’m leaving for the South of France tonight, equipped as best as i can (dji Oslo 2 and iPhone + a couple of iPhone lenses) and hope I can take beautiful footage from my vacation as well, I really want to make beautiful videos for my channel.

Your video made me pre order Osmo Moblie 2 for sure. I wanted to shoot a video like yours but those good cameras are extremely expensive so I decided to push my iPhone 7 plus to the limit and I needed Osmo Mobile. Thanks for sharing. Great video.

Was that Surin beach Phuket, doi pui Chiang Mai, Chao praya river bangkok, Koh Tao yai/noi island, James bond island? I'm only sure with some of them! But that was amazing man, and I shoot with iPhone 7+ and an osmo mobile too hahaha, it's actually pretty decent

STFN /// creatormode: on I just did a video comparing the iPhone 11 pro to a RED camera, and a lot of that comparison would apply to an a7s as well. Bottom line is, yes an iPhone is easier to carry around and fits in your pocket, but overall you’ll get a better image and more versatility with the a7s.

amazing. I wonder how did you avoid rolling shutter and moire problem ? Because even with iPhone XR, I have seen lot of videos on youtube where rolling shutter problem is unavoidable.

You say there’s limits to shooting with an iphone. Try combining the app filmic pro with the moment lens attachment if you have not already

Very well done! Quick question...the "movement" of the videos..I noticed most had an under shot moving in and upwards...was that done as you filmed it or editing? Either way you did a great job just curious, thanks
