I sold my 15 pro for s24 ultra and couldn't be more happier its freedom i can customize this phone so much its insane i had every apple iphone flagship and this phone is amazing
I had every iPhone up to the iPhone 8 then I switched to Android when I got an S8 Plus and I haven't looked back since. Now I'm locked into the Samsung ecosystem (Galaxy S24U after upgrading from S20, refrigerator and TVs) and I'm loving it. My job did give me an iPhone 14 for my work phone but I don't really use it unless I have to. Apple iPhone fanatics who mock Samsung Galaxy devices are still thinking of Samsung/Android from 2010-2015 😂 but little do they know just how great these phones are and how much Samsung has done to improve them.
If you use samsung's camera assistant app you'll unlock a ton more of customization options, like being able to tone down or even turn off the image processing you were talking about! Amazing video btw💜
@CreatedTech I have a 512 note 20 ultra it also has a sd card slot. I think I should get the 512 s24u and keep it for the 7 years update program samsung said they would do.
If you get good lock and install the camera assistant you can turn off or dial down the image processing. I'm not a fan of it either, sometimes it's awful and actually ruins a photo.
@@flirty_qwerty16 my iphone x is a replacement. It litterally burnt its motherboard to death. It was also a launch phone. Did I also fprget to mention that it was a flagship phone.
@@tdrg_ Probably is, I'm talking about the surface area of the body ratio to camera bump. On the 15 pro non max, it flows over the center of the phone. Maybe if they rearrange the cameras along the top or the side like Samsung, or if they made it all flush I wouldn't care as much. Using a case that accommodates magsafe and that thick camera bump makes the entire phone feel so thick and gross.
Just a small correction, at 2:00 regarding brightness and nits, its not proportionally linear, its more of a log curve so it wouldn't really be 3x the brightness. Human eyes also play a role in that though.
I did the opposite, I switched from a S22U to an iPhone 15 PM as I sweared I would do it only when it had a USB C port and so far I’m quite happy. Of course both have their pros and cons but overall both are excellent in different things. I had android phones for the last 10 years and I was already bored with this operating system and the iPhone was for me fresh air. The iPhone has a better aspect ratio and far better battery life than most phones. The video is also much better than most phones and changing between physical cameras is almost as professional camera, but on android phones, even from Samsung, the zoom charge (from physical cameras) is very artificial and bad. Nevertheless, Android overall is a much more capable OS and if I had the things I said from my iPhone on a Samsung phone I would change back again immediately. As it is right now, I prefer to use an iPhone with an Android tablet. Maybe in some years a Samsung Foldable brings the best from a foldable with the best from an S Ultra and iPhone in the same package…
2 of my friends who bought this phone, started experiencing lag once in a while even though it is not even a year old. Especially in gallery/camera or switch between certain apps. Not everytime but noticeable enough in day to day usage.
I have the s24U and 15PM and can confirm the lag on the s24U… it’s not always but the more you use it the more you notice it and the more it seems to happen… I’ve had more than a few glitches, hang ups and snags with mine. Not so much with iPhone and I’m even using developer beta software.
Last S series I bought was the s9plus and still liked the camera side, as to swapping to the note 20 ultra as that was a brilliant phone, now having the s24 ultra, I miss the SD card slot big style, as can't even get on with the AI of things as hardly don't bother, still all new flagship phone are a money grabbing scam, as nothing much different to last years of s 23 ultra, and every year all they change is the chip and camera, just bring back the SD card slot as cloud too is to make more money,
I’m in a good spot to switch right now. All I have is my phone and a IMac I use for photo editing. I can still use Lightroom mobile so there’s nothing really keep me attached to Apple for once.
I switched to the S24 Ultra after having to return my Xiaomi 14 Ultra after some software issues. Love the S24 Ultra, but the camera has really been disappointing for me. Other than the camera, it's reliable - battery, display, mobile signal, S-Pen, A.I, all good. For some reason, i still miss the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, though.
On the S24Ultra in the camera app settings there is an option to remove intelligent optimization/ image processing Atleast there is one on my S21 im not sure for the S24 but its always good to check
1. Bloody good video 2. Age old iPhone ecosystem user 3. In market for a backup phone. I will be picking up this hopefully. I have just been looking at million videos before deciding. Their service sucks is the problem that keeps me away from samsung. 4. Thanks for making my choice a little clearer. Love from India
Honestly, the only reason why I'm torn between this and the Iphone 15 pro is because I've never used any gesture based iPhone. I want to try it out before I commit to a 1000€ purchase
With this much shutter lag (makes it impossible to take decent/usable picture of moving subject) everyone who tells this camera is good, let alone great is simply - not telling truth. No, Camera assistant does not help. No, average user won't and should not use Pro mode in order to get casual picture of kid or pet or anything with even slight movement
S24 ultra with iOS and i would love to test it. But I am having only Apple Products like MacBook Air (thx to your videos of comparing etc), an Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. So I don’t want to go to Android anymore, even if they have really good hardware
@@M16-bf4kus24U can’t get any worse than it is! Battery = awful, camera quality = worse than awful. Samsung needs to learn from apples developers about how to make a real OS and worry less about worthless customization features.
i did not have issue on the display on my device, i only notice it gets hot on the side when making a call, battery is a meh, need to charge before the day ends up,
I wanna buy a new phone but i saw so many comments about battery issues in this phone. So i stock between s24u and pixel 9 pro xl. I play CODMOBILE and i really need a good battery. There is anyone to help me plz?
Yes. In the first week. Itself. If you keep it in denim jeans pockets or a bag with keys, cards, chargers. It will get scratched no matter how careful you are. Just get an AR scratchguard from Samsung. It works brilliantly
I thought about switching over for a season. But I'm scared to leave behind all the group chats, nostalgiac imessage threads, family photo albums, my notes in the apple notes app, etc.
I switched from iPhone 15 plus to s24 ultra for one week and now back to iPhone 15 pro max. Google assistant was not as good as Siri especially while driving and Samsung pay was not as good as Apple Pay. Otherwise, there is a lot of freedom on Samsung
If you compare this to a phone 4 years ago with the note 20 ultra you will discover that there MANY things that are on the note 20 ultra that is better, such as the cameras on the note 20 ultra are better. The speed time is .02 seconds behind which is crazy for a phone that's 4 years older. The display on the note 20 ultra has puncher colors. Im going to be honest, Samsung has been lacking heavy the past few years.
The reason why I can’t go back to Samsung is because Lightroom does not work as good as it does on the iPhone. When I make adjustments on the levels it doesn’t respond to my finger touch.
Well, they sound like Apple. The only difference is that Apple sounds less dynamic, so you hear a bulky sound. In Samsung speakers, they sound really dynamic and good in 3D sound. You can change this from the settings (Dolby Atmos setting).
@@XLBOX1 Broski, im using walkman phones, nokia n91, ipod touch, everything that is music related. Samsung is joking with speakers quality, especially with bass. Silly for 1000e phone to not have decent speakers. I compared them to the 14 pro max, and its day and night when it comes to bass. Samsung doesnt have one, plus its a filtered music, idk if i can explain, but it doesnt seem like 1000e phone to me.
definitely especially the zoom up to 10x…I wish I hadn’t gotten rid of mines for the S24U, but I’m trying out the 15PM right now as well. I’m selling one of them but don’t know which yet.
So you’ve held both in your hands at the same time and taken lots of test footage and images to compare in depth? iPhone takes the L on this one, and that’s coming from a 13 year iPhone fanboy.
I agree since I currently am using both while switching daily. I’m a hardcore Samsung fan, but I’m slowly thinking about going full Apple. My 15PM beats my S24U in day to day shots especially when it comes to point and shoot/video.
After watching enough replace the camera vids I just leave the Nikon D850 at home now and take the misses 15 pro to shoot weddings. The most pro is air dropping the pro pics at the event, game changer
