Add more light! Then lower your gain in video editing software. Also, if your video is steady or static then you can always take a photo at the same angle in night mode and then blend the image with the video while using a mask around the subject.

I've never used a iphone. I have used a galaxy and a Google Pixel. I'm happy with their ability. But still you make it easy. So dark. So spooby

Can you suggest best video settings for concert events to produce sharp videos in low light conditions?

Concerts have very unpredictable lighting changes, so it can be a challenge. You’ll just need to follow the steps in this video and hope for the best. Shooting with DSLRs will help improve the quality. Low light with a phone is always going to be a challenge.

Shooting with a phone tends to create a lot of flares and ghosting. You can try lowering the iso to help with it or change your angle.

Man I have iPhone 11 and I have nothing in settings except the choice between 4k and 1080… I can’t change iso or anything else

Now with the iPhone 15 Pro Max should I shoot in ProRes log or use an app to control my setings with no log? Is the iPhone log good for low light? Better than something else?

I always like to shoot in LOG when I can. I personally don’t think the iPhone is good in low light at all.

No, a gimbal will not improve the low light performance. It will only help with smoother shots and stability.

@@RyanCampFilms thank you 🙏🏼 I observed night mode for photos allows 3 seconds handheld, but 10 secs if on a tripod. Tripods are not practical or permitted in many places, so was wondering about the gimbal.

You know I love your videos and that my comments have always been positive, so I'm a little critical of this video but I'm not trying to be a d*ck. I was a little disappointed in this because I was looking for some good settings to shoot in low light and the video basically suggested to add lighting. Which is good when you can control the settings but what about when you can't. What if you're in a club or on a dark street at night trying to get a shot?

Hey! Steps to follow in situations where you can’t control the light are featured early in the video; Video resolution and codec settings, ISO settings, shutter speed…I feel like I covered every possible aspect?? Maybe give it another watch? 😉 There’s really not much else that can be done. Thanks for the feedback!

i love recording on low light using my iphone but phones haves limits on that situation especially on wide open space. you need a big bright lights for that. a room should be okay cause lights bounce on walls. god i love my canon full frame

I was just having this conversation.. I’m new to recording video with my iPhone. I done a few projects and love the results, however, I’m evolving into more complex shoots, and I feel very limited. Yes, you will get a noisy image in low-light situations.

Please how do you make a uniform color grading for shots shot at 60fps (Natural) and 30fps (Log V2)?
