Hi Shayne, learning a lot from your vids. thanks! I figured out the native night mode was the best and I paired it with an automation approach within the iOS call switch control to take Timelapse of the Milky Way moving across the sky! Something to consider as well

Hi shayne, I probably told you about the ProCam 8 app a few times now but it’s because you can do up to 30 seconds exsposures and use an intervalometer to take a photo every 30 seconds or so. I had the best results with the slow shutter mode, put it on 15 seconds exsposure and 20 seconds for the intervalometer. Shutter speed was at 1 second and iso at the maximum. And don’t forget to lock the white balance and focus because it shifts otherwise. It takes better Fotos and videos than the standard camera app in daylight too since you can for example shoot 4K max (video in full sensor resolution) or in 4K prores even if you have an 128gb model, wich you can’t do in any other way but buy the 256gb storage upgrade. The regular time lapse mode is great to but only can go to a 1s exsosure.

I have an S22 ultra and I have been wating to shoot hyperlapse shots of the stars. I have a tripod, the Hohem iSteasy gimbal, the phone but I am missing the app. Thank you for your content.

Are you kidding? All you have to do is go camping an hour or so north of Vegas for some of the darkest skies in the country! I live on the east coast and would love to have the “back yard” you have access to.

G'day Shayne! Just discovered you after buying an S22 Ultra and have been enjoying your vids. You do great work and give simple instructions on photography. I was interested in the Sandmarc tripod you reviewed but can't find it anywhere. Can you post a link to it please? BTW, live in Melbourne but have a property in Toc and can't wait to get up there and try your techniques out. Keep up the good work!!!

Hey Shayne, hope your well, I love the videos you put up. I'm having a few issues with reeflex, when taking a picture it sometimes doesn't save it to the camera roll. Especially when you know it's gonna be a bloody good shot. It's quite annoying. Can you find a way around this at all. I reached out to reeflex and they said it's a bug that 3rd party camera app has with iOS. Any idea if this is in the process of being fixed? Cheers mate, Im not sure on that one. I havent heard of it or experienced it. I remember with Even Longer it was saving the images into the FILES folder on the phone. Is that where yours is going?

I just used starry camera, it’s free. It will do a super long exposure and give you star trails with no noise in the photo. Give it a try

You need the app- Even Longer Full RAW 30 second exposures WITH an intervalometer so you’re exporting images and not just a 4k video. Star trails, long exposures, you name it. Even Longer actually does it. Thank me later. I’m a bloody legend.

HAHAHA absolutely mate. I have it have have done a few tutorials with it. Its a great app. I havent been able to get good milky way shots with it yet though. Its worth trying it again.

Yes it does! Ive done a video on it a while ago. There are better ways to do it now though for sure. I use Even Longer to take 30 second images with its intervalometer and put the images into star stacker. Its by far the best solution now. I have a video on it maybe a couple of months ago mate.

No, not on its own mate. Even Longer app has intervalometer and does a great job for this type of thing.

I have a cannon m-50 with the kit lenses but the cannon app for editing is a little confusing but and I’m still learning. Didn’t know if you had any tutorials with that camera
