Max Tech I’ve had the IPhone 11 since launch. I traded my 8plus for it. I feel it does 90% of what the pros do. I plan to keep it for awhile 😷🎚🎸

Max Tech it depends on screen size...for me. It took some getting used to coming from a iPhone 5 to a iPhone 11. Side note. My iPhone 5 was still working and I think it was prettier. But, I needed to upgrade. Just for screen size and speed from a new processor.

i hate how big the new iPhones are ;-; even the 5.8” 11 Pro feels bigger than it is due to the corner to corner screen. i have an 8 and sometimes it still feels big, but it’s the closest to perfect than any other iPhone. the original SE is amazing to use, but the screen is just too small to watch videos and movies :( i’m excited for the 5.4” iPhone 12, maybe that will be it!

there is definitely an over-exaggeration that all phones now need massive screens, which I hate, I have an iPhone XS Max and I've realised it is not for me, really heavy, really large to hold and its so cumbersome. I don't even care about the camera setups of phones :')

I switched from an Android(i've had every iteration from S3 to S8 plus) to iPhone 11 earlier this year and although i miss the close all button for apps(seriously apple) the battery is really good and the apps run alot better than android although i hate no longer having the back button in the bottom but rather at the top left. Apple wins in the camera department theres no contest there. imessage, facetime, icloud and airdrop once you've experienced it i dont think you would ever want to go to an alternative option i kinda get why people say that once iphone users get sucked into it(i am now one of them), it is really hard to get out.

Alex Shewan I received my SE on launch day so this will be the third full day of me using the new iPhone. I just use the phone for basic stuff: Insta, RU-vid, Snapchat, Internet....... The battery life gets me through the day nothing more and nothing less. I definitely need to charge the SE during the night.

Nick Braglia I’ve changed my phone about 5-6 times since I got my first SIM card. I’m no tech expert but I think call quality comes down to service provider because all the modern phones have more or less the same capabilities for it.

Yes you're aging as I am cause I can't no more watch these reviews that omit to analyse the call quality. I came to the conclusion Smartphones are cameras that can make a call if needed. They also are browsers and small metal constructions to hold amenities of all sorts. In a nutshell, cell phone are deads. Smartphones are cameras before all.

I’d say get either the save up and get se or save up for the 11 or 11 pros as the xr I think is not the best deal no more but still is a great phone.

Cleos Jericho Estrada theres no reason to get the XR at this point. Not that it’s a bad phone, but the 11 is only a little bit more, and the SE has some key advantages over the XR in addition to the much lower price.

@@georged822 agreed, the xr is the worst pick from apple now, the 11 is a lot better for only a hundred dollars more so it's definitely worth going there, and the se 2 is a lot cheaper, so if you're penny pinching that's the way better buy, the XR no longer makes sense in 2020. From Apple anyway, used is a different story.

The 11’s “It only costs $100 more than the XR” justification only applies in the US. Elsewhere the price difference is way more than just $100. This is why I went the budget route and got the XR when the 11 was announced. (Late 2019). But I am thinking of getting the SE to replace my 6S as my secondary phone.

I have the SE 2 and I love it. It is cheap and offers a lot, even for a small phone. The XR is 100 dollars more, but is still quite cheap and it is a good phone to get.

The speakers on the SE is really good. Better than the iPhone 8. I was playing a game on my phone and the bass sound can be heard from a different room. Also it wasn’t even on the highest volume. Lastly, the 4.7 inch screen is the best selling iPhone for good reason. Many People don’t want to carry large phones and much rather prefer the convenience and ease of use. Also, I remember when Steve Jobs first introduced the iPhone in 2007, the home button was one of the most important features because of its practicality. An iPhone just isn’t an iPhone without the home button, but to each their own. This is just my opinion. You’re entitled to have your own.

I’m thinking of getting an se as well, I have a 6s right now. It’s slow, crashes and the hole button is dangling right now. I could get a new one from a carrier for 150 after taxes. Im a heavy user and I’m questioning if it’ll be a good upgrade

Some sources point to night mode being hardware dependent "On the ‌iPhone 11‌, Night mode is limited to the wide-angle camera as it is the only camera with optical image stabilization and because Night mode requires a camera with 100 percent focus pixels to analyze and align images." I also read the sensors on the SE camera are the same as on the iPhone 8.

Had the xr, 11 and have the se now. So happy with the small phone, fits so easy in my jeans. Does everything it needs to, smaller screen did cost some time to get used to (2-3days). Battery lasts 4,5 hours easily. And dont worry about the battery, when i get home take a shower and The battery is low i put it in the ipad charger gets back up in no time.

SE 's front cam surprisingly has more depth and closeness to reality. Overall performance is a Beastly Ninja phone. I was surprise on how it perform on such a very low low price. Its a Good 👍 👍 👍

Looks like you don’t know about the ‘Reachability’ feature on the bigger screened iPhones making it easier to use them with one hand. Make sure it’s turned on in the settings and you use it by swiping down in the middle of the dock to bring the top of the screen down to the middle. Also it’s only the rear facing camera on the XR that only allows theee of the Portrait Lighting effects. The front facing camera allows all five effects.

Really hoping Apple continues to release SE models every few years. Big phones start getting into this awkward space where they are too big to be one-handed phones, but not big enough to be useful as tablets. Much prefer to have a smaller (and cheaper) phone and an iPad. If I don't need a big screen then a small phone is much more convenient, and if I do need a big screen then I want an actual big screen. My original SE is still chugging along fine, the only real problem is the camera. So ordered the SE2 and will likely keep that until the SE3

It's crazy cuz I had the XR and I just switched to SE. I thought the size was gonna be a problem but it ended up being a big plus. I forgot how nice it feels having a normal sized phone that can easily fit in my pocket. Also, I got the phone for $50 for switching with Cricket. Best deal ever!!

There maybe an unnoticeable nano second difference between the two biometric unlocks those phones but the XR has one extra gesture which is you’ll have to slide the screen up after it unlocks... I wish FaceTime has options which unlocks automatically when you hold your phone in front of your face or something else that reduce the step in unlocking the iPhone

i just picked up the se 2020 after having the iphone 6s for years. the iphone 11 was tempting, but i still gravitate towards comfortable one handed use. the screen size is bigger on the 11 and that's nice to have, but you're sacrificing ease of use and paying $300 more. i think for heavy users and gamers, then the 11 makes more sense. it's only been a couple days, but i can tell that i essentially have a modern version of the iphone 6s which is good enough for me. i'll reevaluate things once the iphone 12 comes out.

Max Tech my Xr never scores this low in Geekbench 5. For single core I always get 1134 and for multi core I always get 2716. For the compute test I always get a score of 4613. Maybe you had low power on for the Xr because when I did this with low power mode my score were about the same as yours though. Pretty strange to be honest. And great video btw. I can’t wait for the camera test

Yea, that is what I had in mind too, I just ran a geek bench 5, 1107 for single-core and 2573 on Multicore - Metal test was 4400 - I don't know how the scores were so low on this review.

I think the XR was the perfect size. I replaced it with a Note 10+ and kind of regreat it. I thought the screen sucked. Turned out I was in need of bifocals.

I'm in the same boat. My 6s is still going strong but I'd like a new phone soon. I think the size of the 6s/SE is perfect, but the SE just gives me more of the same as I don't really use processor intensive apps much - mainly texting, emails, web browsing, youtube. So spending $400 for something that gives me the same experience except with more years of iOS updates seems hard to justify. The 11, which is a little bigger than I would like, gives me a better camera with night mode and MUCH better battery life. As Pat Lee says below, yeah, maybe wait for the 12...

bought the se 2 like 3 months ago as a 2dn phone having primary a Samsung note 10.. gave the note to my wife because her iphone 8 was giving up on her.. battery and microphone issues.. and she liked more than my se... long story short I just bought an iPhone 11.. and boy it is a big step from battery life to screen ratio and night mode... couldn't take a decent photo at dark with the se.... if budge not an issue for you get the 11... but for 400dls man that little sucker is great..

I've never had an iPhone although got a couple of old ipads. I've only really had Samsung phones, note2, s6, s7 and currently s9plus. Contract is up this month and thinking of getting the SE for no other reason than I feel like a change. The problem is I can't really fault the s9plus, it's a great phone and I'm really worried that SE will be step backwards and I'll be really disappointed with it, has anyone else made the move from an S9 plus to the SE?

you had low power mode on the XR during the geekbench which really hinders performance. although even without low power mode it would not have beat the other two.

I have the XR. My fri nd has the se. the performance is pretty much the same. And he says battery life on his is really good, but mine is good too. Both are good phones.
