I had an 8+ and my home button broke. I do want an 11 pro but not the price tag. Opted for the SE because I just want a functional phone. The biggest upgrade would be the A13 chip.

TechDaily I wouldn’t either, you know why? iPhone hardware are very powerful and optimized for years, you can still run the heaviest apps on 5 yo phone like an iPhone 6S today. So will be 8 , 8 Plus and iPhone X likewise. The best way to make your money worth it , is to use the iPhone you’ve paid at launch as long at it runs what you need, and it’s functional. Upgrading is stupid as apple wants you to be :)

The 8 is very cheap in my country though. You can buy a refurbished one for about $200 less than the SE and I expect the price to drop even more.

SE has an Intel modem, whereas the 8 has a Qualcomm modem. If you don't know what that means, maybe look into it, if you care about dropped calls and that sort of thing.

If the rumors about Iphone 12 are true you were better holding off. A 5.4in one is heavily rumored to be coming, and it wont have the bezels and will be even more powerful. If you could afford an Xs, then you'd be able to afford the new iPhone12. SE seems like it was intended for people with Iphone 7/6s or older and wanted to upgrade for an affordable price. But if you are happy with the small display, and like the price, then enjoy. Happy customers are good.

These are undeniably the most common and accessible forms of communication in the states. Sure if u live overseas where they use WhatsApp it would be smarter to just get an android, but again that’s not who this is meant for. Believe it or not there are many US consumers who like small phones for whatever reason, whether they have small hands, or they’re just obsessed with minimalism. Many Children and woman have small hands, also factor in the elderly people who are upgrading from iPhone 6> or flip phones at that and u realize the new SE has a huge market potential in the US. And something else your also forgetting is that while ur a71 might have a nicer flashier screen, the a13 in the SE is at least twice as powerful as the chip found in that a71, which contributes to the 5+ years of guaranteed software support, something that the a71 definitely can’t claim. And the screen isn’t just some cheap tft lcd 720p shit. It’s not a basic 5 inch 720p shit screen. It’s a 4.7 inch, 750p Apple calibrated ips lcd, which happens to be one of the nicest lcd panels in the world, offering amazing color gamut, the deepest blacks an lcd can currently get, and I can attest to this being an iPhone 11 owner I can clearly see the difference between oled and lcd but when it’s nighttime and I’m scrolling RU-vid or insta, I have my phone on low brightness and most of the time I can’t even discern the notch, making the phone look indifferent from oled technology. And in direct sunlight, with the xr and 11 for example, you can’t even tell the notch is there if it’s blacked out, while oled technology shines in the sunlight and u can clearly see the notch out there. Factor in the impossible chance of screen burn in. This phone also had much better build quality. Glass and aluminum will always be better than plastic. It ensures the phones durability, allows wireless charging, and ip67 dust and water resistance. And those emojis. No matter how good an android phone might look, I can’t accept using those emojis when iOS offers the real emojis. All of Samsung’s emojis are either direct bootlegs or shitty ripoffs of apple’s emojis. No ones going to flame u for postin somethin with an iOS emoji😂 iOS just looks more formal imo. Like he said in the video this phone isn’t meant for u and frankly it isn’t meant for me either but u have to be smart enough to look at it from another perspective and understand that just because it isn’t something YOU would choose, it still offers incredible value for a new $400 iPhone all things considered.

I’m far from an isheep I think one ui and android in general is a beautiful user interface with many uses and possiblilities, but the integration and fluidity of iOS has simply proven to b superior to me, and like I said until u use new iPhone as ur daily, u just don’t understand. Preferring iOS with experience and knowledge from both sides isn’t being an isheep, being an isheep is preferring iOS without even understanding or giving android a try.

I think this phone is meant for ppl with older models than the 8. (7/6s/6). I'm sure Apple has the data, but a lot of ppl are still on pretty old Iphones and SE is a great way to bridge the gap and get ppl up to date and keeping them in the ecosystem for an affordable price. Personally, I am ditching my Iphone 6 soon. Just ordered an Iphone 11. Passed on SE because if I am dropping a few hundred, I want it to feel like a real upgrade and for the phone to look modern. But a ton of ppl dont care about the tech aspects of phones and just like apple's OS. So this will satisfy them.
