I've always had an Pixel and iPhone but my iPhone was my primary. December 2022 was a turning point for me when I bought my Galaxy 360 Laptop for work (The Software I use doesn't work on a Mac). I realized how good the Samsung/Andriod Ecosystem is, it's almost comparable to the Apple Ecosystem. The flexibility is a perk and I use Dex on my Z Fold 5. It's connected to an external monitor and I use it like another laptop. I also have the S24 Ultra for work. For personal use, I use the OnePlus 11 and the OnePlus Watch 2. My Pixel Fold is literally sitting in the corner, it's a useless brick, waste of money 😂😂😂. My MacBook Pro is still used for personal use and my iPhone 14 Pro works like a charm. Both ecosystems are awesome and I would urge everyone to use both.
You can license music. There is a whole marketplace to buy A license to use the song in your video with no copyright violation. It's a sign that this fella is upping his video production.
I also went from iPhone promax 14, to S24U and gotta say aside from the greenbubble and side eye from iphone users, I absolutely love it. theres almost no draw back. Everything is snappy, everything works, everything just feels right! I didnt realize how far snapdragons have come honestly and the vapor chamber helps im sure @snapdragon get his man a free ticket he really made me realize what made my s24u work just work.
@@Master.Jedi.Kenobi You dont live in the US and neither do I. But they primarily use imessage, and group chat dont work well with SMS from android, so its acutally problematic. at least it was until apple finally adopted RCS, which was against their own interests.
@@anjelom3018 yeah. The lack of a vapor chamber on the iPhone with its power soc is head scratcher for me. Certainly needs on badly. Yeah I'm tired of iPhones. Also, own a Google pixel. I'm done with iPhones.
@@anjelom3018 I could care less about my iPhone friends. Same with work, our group chats are wonky. It's Apples fault they haven't adopted rcs that has nothing to do with me.
@@politcallycorrect5816 I don't understand because I have a friend with Android and I have Apple and we text each other daily without problems, what's the catch? Issue??
I'm a Bixby user, it is very useful for me especially when I'm driving and I have to call someone, respond to someone or simply play music on spotify. Or when I'm cooking and I need to search an alternative to the recipe while my hands are busy prepping ingredients, or set a timer for cooking steak. There's a lot of things to do with Bixby. I even appreciate it when I don't know where I put my phone and simply calling Bixby I'll hear it answer.
So excited to try another Android phone after being on iPhone for the past 2-3 years. Switched to iPhone because I was left out of group chats a lot but with RCS coming to Apple, I think I'm finally gonna get another Android once this phone dies. The disparity between iPhone and Android flagships are so small now. I definitely want to try out one of the foldables if possible
Im so glad I found this channel. Quality is top tier, interesting content and you look so comfortable in front of the camera. Keep up the amazing work brother.
16:18 this part made me want to throw all my apple echo system and go buy s24u sooo bad! , the video is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU AND YEAH U MADE ME GOOSEBUMP.
Love the intro. Selection of music just PERFECT ❤😮😊by the way the @snapdragon even sounds exciting. By the way I just spotted myself on one of the Pictures. ❤ Great content as always Pete
That's me, I'm the Bixby user. I only use it for quick conversions, quick searches, or just really basic tasks. I don't need to have a "conversation" with it, and for complex tasks, it's better that I just do it myself instead of telling an assistant what to do. For what I use it for, it works pretty well.
Yeah. I decided 8 months ago NOT to wait and buy the S24 Ultra. I choose to buy a sure bet which was the S23 Ultra. 512 GB ROM will be enough for the next 4 years.
@@PeteMatheson also turn off Bluetooth and wifi scanning in location services. I also got rid of any location based routines I had set up. And turn off 5G,
@@PeteMatheson Thats why I hate android and samsung especially. Why do i have to do so many things so my phone can work properly and not buggin out and destroying battery life
The ending was one of the best I have ever seen. Absolutely loved the video. Using a 15Pro X, was planning to buy a S24 ultra and got the answer from your review.
Thank you! I really appreciate this! I'm really trying to move to more cinematic, story-infused content, rather than just your standard clinical tech review!
People trash talk Bixby a lot so let me clear it up again here cause nobody listens - Bixby was designed with Korea voice recognition first. Korean. Getting a robot to understand Korean was a monumental task at the time, and Sammy pulled it off and it was something to behold. Why does nobody use it in English? (kinda sounds like a you problem) Because, when Samsung finished that voice model it ironically couldnt understand spoken English. That software bug, patch, and delayed release ultimately contributed to its slow start, and eventual downfall ; something that Sammy really wanted to avoid cause it was supposed to be their version of Siri. It hasnt recovered since. So now you know.
@@stomplunacy interesting, I ditched Apple Watch for Garmin about a year ago and now I’m looking to upgrade from my IP13 Pro to this S24… decision lol.
Mate I totally agree with you! If you dont need all day battery life or stable working apps, when you need it (as student) or best photo quality or privacy data, is android the best choise you can make
Bixby user here. Actually, when I started using assistant I started using Bixby and Google Assistant simultaneously first to compare them. And I still do. Althoug I use Google more, as is better for some things, Bixby still surpasses on requests I have including the phones settings and apps as it is a Samsung product.
@@danielvargo4498 how does your baterry hold on? I keep going back to my 15ProMax due to battery. The 24U battery gets me 'almost' through the day, while my iPhone still has about 30-35% remaining. This was a major issue for me, to carry a portable battery or find a plug
Loved this video - as an iPhone/iOS user daily it’s always interesting to see what it’s like on the other side of the fence and when it comes to my next upgrades this will definitely be a point of reference. Also noticed on some of your other videos you seem to be local to me, you’ve earned a subscriber from Totton mate 😎
One of the best reviews. Awesome intro and brilliant ending with memories captured on S24 Ultra. Been using it for 4 months. No complaints. Absolutely ❤️ it
Brilliant review mate, I agree with everything you said. I also like you switched from iPhone to Ultra s24. A few things I miss is, the Note app from Apple, and the Apple keyboard works great even if it's a smaller screen. The few most popular apps work much better on IOS than Android. but still, I think the S24 has a great battery, screen, camera and powerful phone indeed.
I completely agree and have been complaining to Samsung via the Members App about poor battery life which, like you, have been experiencing for the past couple of months. I also changed my performance settings and it didn't improve battery life all too much and introduced lagging running apps.
I hope you didn't get copyright strike. Great video even though I never used any apple devices or any flagship android devices I can somehow relate to it. Keep smiling with your family that's the most important part of out life.
@snapdragon, I use Bixby daily, and the DeX in mine little S24 is perfect. I have the ergonomics, cameras are great to me and when I wanna go big, DeX. That's the beauty of Android, options. Your device is for you to adjust to your particular life freely.
@@PeteMatheson in majority yes, the integration with Modes and Routines is very good. And the easy and quick access to hardware related functions (flashlight, camera etc). The music identification works seamless too. Still not tried the integration with SmartThings, but appears to be great also. Is rumored that it'll receive a major update with AI still this year. Google Assistant got worse with time, and Gemini is a bad Assistant so far in its development.
Bixby user here! Because it can control every aspect of the phone. Love my S24 Ultra because of the DeX feature, I'm living in a post-PC era because of that, love the S-pen because editing photos and videos and quick notes at work, love the AI because I'm not a native speaker of English language.
It is always nice to refresh with something new to you. Thats why I might try the Apples ecosystem 😁. I have iPhone as workphone and few things that I value in daily that is, display color calibration and picture colors straight from phone are more pleasing to me. Not that I know anything about color science etc. This is just opinion and how I see.
ahh thanks man! Yeah we're really trying to level up these videos - using the right tracks is one of our big focuses recently. Glad it's being noticed! ❤️
If she switched then sharing family photos between you is easy again with quick share and quick share now also works with windows laptops too (no airdrop for windows with Apple)
the animations on samsung and oneplus are generally slower because they focus on fluidity, whereas xiaomi tried to make the animations fast. so when i switched from my xiaomi phone to OP 7 first thing i did was scale down the animator durations.
Great video, I am an s24 ultra user. Love the battery life and camera abilities. Never used an IPhone but the comparison was great their both great phones.
Always been a Samsung user, decided to get the iphone14 when it came out as a little switch up! It’s been okay but I’ve just order the S24 Ultra and I can’t wait to be back to trusty old Samsung!
For battery life, I am limiting the upper limit of charge to 80%, and I have no issues. You have a lot of customizations to control that will prolong battery life
I’m actually considering moving from iPhone to android(Samsung) but haven’t really found a way to go about the rest of the ecosystem. I have the MacBook, Apple Watch, iPad, iPhone, Apple TV and HomePods. The MacBook is fine on its own, but the rest I guess works a lot better within the ecosystem. I’m a bit fed up with Apple prices and to be honest, a bit bored with them. The devices work really well together but Android has a lot more features. Any advice? Has anyone done this kind of change?
Great video!! I definitely stay on apple 🍏 for me 😂 just cause I switch back in for to much and apple is way more convenient for me leave which is not a bad thing in my opinion
Honestly more I use this phone cause I am trying it out. The more I want to keep it. I love drawing silly things with spen and music change while not having to look at my phone using S-Pen is quite good.
i loved this video, it makes me wanna try the samsung s24 ultra too (if only i have money to burn)... and jeez, the last part of the memories was a nice touch, a tear dropped and now i'll keep wondering what to do
Well I got this a month after launch in March... This has been one of the easiest phones to keep, coz I barely notice any flaws to switch... ! And by now I've bought 12 cases for this one...!! Coz its so beautiful, you want to keep decorating it..!!
New subscriber here, very well done. I seem to bounce back and forth from iPhone to Galaxy phones. I do it quite often and I after making a switch I find myself just weeks and sometimes days wanting to swap back. I think I have a problem :)
I wonder why Samsung doesn’t provide the S24 with the Snapdragon chipset in Europe. They still provide their own, less powerful chipset instead making some customers looking at other brands.
I started off Android then switch to iPhone. Been with Apple for along time and I’m heavily invested but it comes at a cost. I’ve been eyeing Samsung for a while now. I may just try the switch because I’m bored with apple and tired of paying all these subscriptions.lol
Once the RCS update on iOS 18 comes out it’ll change a lot for iPhone users cause you won’t need what’s app at all or anything in between it’s gonna be awesome
Definitely a bixby user 😅. It's not a google replacement. It's to control the phone without internet. Like turn on the data, location, calculations, opening app when driving or can't use it with hand ( for some reason ) which google wouldn't do without internet.
Google assistant has Been light years ahead of Siri. I was a lifelong Samsungnite. I decided to give 14 promax a run it was smooth. Felt luxurious. But I hate Siri. So limited compared to GA. I never used bixby I wasn’t interested. Long story I love the apply eco system it works flawlessly compared to Samsung. But maaaaaan I miss my galaxy lol I will be switching over next year. Oh yeah I upgraded to 15/promax (USBC) lol no difference besides usbc
i found this video while i was looking for information about s24 ultra , im an iphone user over 10 years , after this video i think im ready to move on and switch , Galaxy user from now on
Welcome to the channel! Thanks for checking out one of my videos! You'll find my whole Switching to S24 Ultra series playlist in the description of this video!
6 months is not enough. Android issues are after 2Y mark usually. I used HTC one (the first one) then Galaxy S8 and then S10 after that S21 ultra and every single got much, much slower after around 2 Y mark. My iPhone 12 Pro max is now 4 years old- battery is to be switched but it is as snappy as ever......
How is Samsung’s camera performance on moving subjects? My S20 FE is unable to keep up with my daughter if she doesn’t cooperate, so we always have to use our iPhone in this case
I only got the phone a few days ago, I'm the only one who thinks that it discharge too quickly and heats up too easily, I honestly😢😪 didn't expect this from such a powerful and expensive phone😢
